Band guiding mechanism for packing machine
A band guiding mechanism for packing machine includes a pool box composed of two guide plates and one of the two guide plates has a through hole. A fixed frame including a vertical section is fixed on the guide plate with the through hole and a movable member is movably and linearly connected on a horizontal section of the fixed frame. The vertical section has an aperture which is in alignment with the through hole. The movable member has a protrusion which is linearly and movably engaged with the aligned through hole and the aperture. A band slit is defined in an outside of the protrusion so as to receive the band therein. An electromagnetic member is connected to the horizontal section of the fixed frame and drives an eccentric disk which pushes the protrusion of the movable member toward the aligned through hole and the aperture.
The present invention relates to a band guiding mechanism for feeding the band into a pool box and the guiding mechanism includes a movable member driven by an eccentric disk.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONIn order to prevent the rollers for feeding the band from being worn out, a conventional packing machine includes a band path through which the band passes by different types of rollers. The band path is defined between the two guide plates and the width of the path is slightly wider than the width of the band. A band reel is located at a side of the machine and the band is fed by several sets of guide rollers and tension rollers into a pool box. When the band reel is empty, the users can replace with a full band reel and one end of the band is inserted to the guide rollers so as to continuously feed the band into the pool box. The band in the pool box can be conveniently used to pack objects. A size of the path between the two guide plates is controlled by a member which is connected to a spring. The member is a weight-balance member so as to automatically move back to its original position. However, the member can be affected by various kinds of factors so that it is difficult to perform precisely.
The present invention intends to provide a band guiding mechanism that employs an eccentric device to guide the band to be stored in the pool box.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to a band guiding mechanism for packing machine and comprises a pool box composed of two guide plates between which a space is defined, a width of the space is larger than a width of a band. One of the two guide plates includes a through hole. A fixed frame is fixed on the guide plate with the through hole by a vertical section thereof and a horizontal section of the fixed frame is connected to an electromagnetic member. The vertical section has an aperture which is in alignment with the through hole. A movable member is movably connected on the horizontal section and a protrusion extends from a side of the movable member. The protrusion is linearly and movably engaged with the aligned through hole and the aperture. A band slit is defined in an outside of the protrusion so as to receive the band therein. The electromagnetic member has an output shaft which is connected to an eccentric disk which pushes the protrusion of the movable member toward the aligned through hole and the aperture.
The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the packing machine includes a body 10 and a guide arch 20 for guiding the band 17 is connected to a top of the body 10. A control device 11 is located in the body 10 and includes a switch 111. A band reel 12 is connected to a side of the body 10 and a feeding device 13 is connected to a top of the band reel 12. A guide roller 14 is located outside of the body 10 so as to feed the band 17 from the band reel 12. A pool box composed of two guide plates 30 is located on the other side of the body 10 and a tension unit 15, and a forward-reverse unit 16 are respectively located above the band reel 12 so as to feed the band 17 into the pool box.
A space 31 is defined between the two guide plates 30 and a width of the space 31 is slightly larger than a width of a band 17. One of the two guide plates 30 includes a through hole 34. Two guide portions 32 are connected to the guide plate with the through hole 34 and located above the through hole 34. Each of the guide portions 32 is composed of two parallel plates 33 and a gap between the two parallel plates 33 is larger than a thickness of the band 17. The two guide portions 32 are opening toward the feeding unit 13 and the tension unit 15. A weight-balance rod 35 is located at the inner bottom of the pool box and a free end of the balance rod 35 has a weight detection switch 351.
An L-shaped fixed frame 40 is fixed on the guide plate 30 with the through hole 34 and includes a vertical section 41 and a horizontal section 42. The vertical section 41 is fixed to the guide plate 30 with the through hole 34 and has an aperture 43 which is in alignment with the through hole 34.
A movable member 50 is movably connected on the horizontal section 42 and a protrusion 51 extends from a side of the movable member 50. The protrusion 51 is linearly and movably engaged with the aligned through hole 34 and the aperture 43. A semi-circular band slit 52 is defined in an outside of the protrusion 51 and two openings of the band slit 52 face the two guide portions 32. Two elongate slots 54 are defined in through the movable member 50 and two bolts 55 extend through the two elongate slots 54 and are fixed to the horizontal section of the fixed frame 40 so that the movable member 50 is movable along the two elongate slots 54.
An electromagnetic member 60 is connected to an underside of the horizontal section 42 of the fixed frame 40 and an output shaft 61 of the electromagnetic member 60 extends through the horizontal section 42 and is connected to an eccentric disk 62 which is a circular disk and pushes the protrusion 51 of the movable member 50 toward the aligned through hole 34 and the aperture 43. A recess 53 is defined in the movable member 50 and located above the protrusion 51. A spring 56 has one end received in the recess 53 and the other end of the spring 56 is in contact with the vertical section 41 of the fixed frame 40, so that the spring 56 provides a proper force which tends to move the movable member 50 back to its original position.
As shown in
While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
