Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a tool box, and more particularly to a combination tool box for storing bar-shaped hand tools.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional tool box comprises a main body, and a cover pivotally mounted on the main body. The main body has an inside formed with a plurality of slots to receive hand tools, such as screwdriver tips, sockets, hex wrenches or the like. However, when a user wishes to use the hand tools, he has to remove the hand tools from the slots of the main body piece by piece, thereby causing inconvenience to the user in operating the hand tools.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a tool box, comprising:

a main body; and

a plurality of tool support racks each detachably mounted on the main body.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a tool box, wherein a user can remove either one of the tool support racks from the main body to use a set of hand tools, thereby facilitating the user using the hand tools.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a tool box, wherein the hand tools are positioned on the tool support racks successively, so that the hand tools are arranged in a serial manner, thereby increasing the storage space of the tool box.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a tool box, wherein each of the tool support racks is mounted on and removed from the main body easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating the user operating the hand tools.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a tool box, wherein each of the tool support racks is used to store a set of hand tools having the same size, thereby facilitating the user operating the hand tools.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a partially exploded perspective view of a tool box in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a tool support rack of the tool box as shown in FIG. 1; and

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a tool support rack of a tool box in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1 and 2, a tool box in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body 1, a plurality of tool support racks 2 each detachably mounted on the main body 1, and a door 3 pivotally mounted on the main body 1 to cover the tool support racks 2.

Each of the tool support racks 2 is formed with a plurality of equally spaced positioning holes 20 for supporting hand tools (not shown), such as screwdriver tips, sockets, hex wrenches or the like. Preferably, the positioning holes 20 of each of the tool support racks 2 have the same size, and the positioning holes 20 of different tool support racks 2 have different sizes. Thus, each of the tool support racks 2 is used to store a set of hand tools having the same size, thereby facilitating a user operating the hand tools.

Each of the tool support racks 2 is formed with a protruding grip portion 26 to facilitate the user holding the respective tool support rack 2 to remove the respective tool support rack 2 from the main body 1.

Each of the tool support racks 2 has a side formed with a plurality of equally spaced locking holes 22, and the tool box further comprises a plurality of equally spaced locking pins 4 each mounted on the main body 1 and each detachably inserted into a respective one of the locking holes 22 to secure each of the tool support racks 2 on the main body 1.

The tool box further comprises a plurality of separation plates 5 each mounted on the main body 1, and each of the tool support racks 2 is located between any two adjacent separation plates 5.

Each of the separation plates 5 is provided with a plurality of equally spaced elongated guide rails 50, and each of the tool support racks 2 has two opposite sides each formed with an elongated slide slot 24 slidably mounted on a respective one of the guide rails 50, so that each of the tool support racks 2 is slidably mounted between the separation plates 5.

Accordingly, the user can remove either one of the tool support racks 2 from the main body 1 to use a set of hand tools, thereby facilitating the user using the hand tools. In addition, the hand tools are positioned on the tool support racks 2 successively, so that the hand tools are arranged in a serial manner, thereby increasing the storage space of the tool box. Further, each of the tool support racks 2 is mounted on and removed from the main body 1 easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating the user operating the hand tools. Further, each of the tool support racks 2 is used to store a set of hand tools having the same size, thereby facilitating the user operating the hand tools.

Referring to FIG. 3, each of the tool support racks 2A has a side formed with an elongated locking slot 22A to lock the locking pins 4 to secure each of the tool support racks 2A on the main body 1.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
