Description

The Drink Pouch with Inner Snap-on and pull Straw/Spout and Cover for Straw/Spout is comprised of the stand up drink pouch and an inner two piece assembled to the upper corner or top of the interior pouch for easy of opening and drinking. The pouch is made to be able to pull and pierce from the upper corner. To open, the two pieces can snap on to a single piece when pressed together, and then the straw/spout is placed aligned with the piercing hole on the upper corner or top of the pouch. The inner straw can then easily pierce the pouch by pulling down the corner or the top of the pouch. The piece then becomes a spout or straw from which the user can drink from. Since the pouch is squeezable, and the mouth piece is pressed to form only one opening, the user can extract all the fluid from the pouch with ease. The two pieces are separate before opening and are taped/glued or laminated to both side of the inner pouch. One piece can be the female piece, in which, it has an indented area to fit tightly with the other piece. The other piece, male piece, would contain the straw or spout. The pouch is designed with the piecing hole available on the opposite side of the top of the straw/spout piece. This prevents any damage when the pouch is being handled. It ensure that one can only open the pouch when intended. The two pieces can then snap on together to create a sealed environment with only the opening of the straw/spout. Since the pieces are small and separated before the opening of the pouch, the design and the amount of fluid of the pouch can be the same as a regular pouch. Both end of the straw/spout can be make with a slight oval cut. One end is make to pierce the hole of the pouch, but not too sharp, so not to injury or harm the drinker. The other end is made so before opening, the user can pinch both side of the pouch, on the spot that the end of the straw/spout to prevent any spill when opening the pouch. The two piece will only work when snap on together to pierce the drink hole on the pouch. The corner or the top of the pouch can also be made with a small pocket to fit the top of the straw/spout should the user decide to save his/her drink for another time. This pocket is exterior of the pouch and can be make from the same material that the pouch is make of. It is just a small fold that can be pull and cover the straw/spout once it is opened. With the design of the straw/spout, the drink in the pouch is less likely to spill out when squeeze. This is because, the straw/spout doesn't not reach all the way into the drink, and the drink can be accessed only by squeezing the pouch and sucking it at the same time. When the user is half way through the drink, if he/she stops, air will enter into the pouch, making it less likely to spit fluid out when squeezed. The seal or pocket on the pouch can then be applied to the straw/spout. Make it much easier to save it for later us. This invention is design for users to drink from a pouch without using an external or full size straw.

It is desirable for users of the drink pouch to easily access their drinks without creating a mess. This design is intended to do so, without the use of a traditional straw. This invention allows the production of the pouch to be the same. The only require work is to add the two pieces into the inner pouch and a small pocket like cover on the exterior of the pouch. The piercing hole is designed to be on the corner for the internal straw to exit. A cut can also be made to the corner of the pouch for tearing, the design and look of the drink pouch does not need to be different. The snap on straw can also create a fun and unique drinking process for users.

Claims

1. The device is a unique way to extract liquid out of a pouch.

2. The device is incorporated into the inner pouch not visible on the exterior.

3. The device is specifically designed to be efficient in extracting liquids from the pouch.

4. The device is designed with a snap-on/zip seal which once active, creates one or more solid spout/straw/opening to extract the liquid from the pouch.

5. The device can be designed with various sizes and incorporated into various pouches.

6. The device can also be design just with a male connecting piece. This design can reduce cost.

7. The device is designed with a length on the straw/spout to be about 1-2 inch long, not reaching all the way into the bottom of the bag. This allows space between a half drunk pouch and the straw/spout. Making it less likely to spill out liquid when squeezed.

8. The device is designed with both straw/spout openings to be oval in shape with close to a 45 degree angle. This is for safety when piercing the opening and prevent spillage when opening.

9. The device is designed to be large enough and tightly incorporated into the pouch to prevent accidental ingestion from children.

10. The device is unique with the internal piecing through the pouch from the interior straw/spout.
