Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to structure of a computer casing, and particularly to a computer casing, which provides a support device to hold the radiation device.

2. Brief Description of the Related Art

Referring to FIG. 1, a computer usually includes a casing 11, a support member 12, a main board 13 and a radiation device 14. The casing 11 has a plurality of connecting units 111 and the connecting units 111 have a receiving hole 111a respectively to engage with the fixing elements 111b. The support member 12 provides a support part 122 and a plurality of connecting units 122a are disposed on the support part 122. Each of the connecting units 122a has a receiving hole 122b for engaging with a fixing element 144a respectively. The main board 13 is provided with a CPU base 131 to be attached with a CPU 132. The radiation device 14 includes a cooling fan 141, a radiator 142, a retaining tool 143 and a support base 144. The cooling fan 141 is fixed to the radiator 142 with fixing elements 141a and the radiator 142 has hook receiving parts 142a to engage with hook parts 143a of the retaining tool 143. The retaining tool 143 has a receiving opening 143b at both ends thereof and the receiving opening 143b to fit with a projection 144c of the support base 144. The retaining tool 143 has a receiving opening 143c to fit with a further projection 144b of the support base 144.

Referring to FIG. 2 in company with FIG. 1, while in assembling, the cooling fan 141 can be attached to the radiator 142 with the fixing elements 141a. The radiator 142 is attached to the support base 144 with the retaining tool 143 and allowing the bottom of the radiator 142 contacting with the CPU 132. Further, the support base 144 is fixedly attached to the main board 13 with the fixing element 144a such that the support member 12 can be mounted under the main board 13. Finally, the main board 13 can be joined to the connecting units 111 of the casing 11 via the fixing elements 111b passing through the mounting holes 133 of the main board 13.

However, the preceding conventional computer casing has the following disadvantages:

The support member 12 is externally added to the casing 11 for supporting the main board 13 and the radiation device 14 to avoid the main board 13 being deformed or damaged resulting from excessive weight of the radiation device 14. That is, the support member 12 can make up the support strength of the main board 13. But, the support member 12 makes the production cost of the casing increase a lot in order to strengthen the main board.

The support member 12 being externally added to the casing 11 increases the gross weight of the computer and more parts have to be detached during repairing due to the support member 12 and this is one of inconvenient factors.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A primary object of the present invention is to provide a computer casing, which has enough strength to support the radiation device.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a computer casing with low production cost.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a computer casing with low material cost.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a computer casing, which can reduce the overall weight thereof.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The detail structure, the applied principle, the function and the effectiveness of the present invention can be more fully understood with reference to the following description and accompanying drawings, in which:

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a conventional computer casing;

FIG. 2 is an assembled perspective view of the conventional computer casing shown in FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of a computer casing according to the present invention; and

FIG. 4 is an assembled sectional view of the computer casing shown in FIG. 3.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 3, a computer casing 21 according to the present invention in the preferred embodiment thereof includes a plurality of connecting units 211 and each of the connecting units 211 has an engaging hole 211a for being engaged with a fastening element 211b respectively. There is a support device 22 at the inner surface 212 of the computer casing 21 and extends upward from the inner surface 212. The support device 22 includes a support part 222 extending upward from the inner surface 212 and a joining part 223 extending upward from the surface 222a of the support part 222.

The support part 222 provides a shape of approximate “H” and the joining part 223 provides a shape approximate “X”. The joining part 223 has a plurality of connecting units 223a and each of the connecting units 223a has receiving holes 223b for being inserted with fixing elements 244a.

The computer is attached with a main board 23 and the main board 23 is provided with a CPU base 231. The CPU base 231 is attached with a CPU 232. The main board 23 has a plurality of mounting holes 233 corresponding the engaging holes 211a of the connecting units 211.

The computer is also attached with a radiation device 24 and the radiation device 24 includes a cooling fan 241, a radiator, a retaining tool 243 and a support base 244. The cooling fan 241 is attached to the radiator 242 with fixing elements 241a and the radiator 242 is provided with a hook receiving part 242a for engaging with the hook part 243a of the retaining tool 243. The retaining tool 243 at both ends thereof has a receiving opening 243b respectively and the receiving opening 243b fits with a jut 244c on the support base 244 respectively. The retaining tool 243 at the middle section thereof has a receiving hole 243c and the receiving hole 243c can fit with a jut 244b on the support base 244.

Referring to FIG. 4 in company with FIG. 3, the cooling fan 241 is fixedly attached to each other with the fixing elements 241a and the radiator 242 is mounted to the support base 244 with the retaining tool 243 and the bottom of the radiator 242 touches the CPU 232. Then, the support base 244 is fixedly attached to the main board 23 and the main board 23 is mounted to the support device 22. Finally, the fastening elements 211b pass through the mounting holes 233 to engage the main board 23 to the computer casing 21.

It is appreciated that contracting to the prior art, the computer casing of the present invention has the following advantages:

1. Due to the computer casing 21 of the present invention being worked directly to form the support device 22 for supporting the main board 23 and the radiator 24, the main board 23 can endure weight of the radiation device 24 without being deformed or becoming damage. In short, the support device 22 can reinforce the structural strength of the main board 21. Further, the computer casing 21 needs less production cost and material cost than the prior art.

2. The computer casing 21 is worked integrally to form the support device 22 so that the gross weight of the computer casing 21 is reduced and it is facilitate to being set up.

While the invention has been described with referencing to a preferred embodiment thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
