BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

This invention relates to tennis, specifically to an improved method of storing tennis balls in a convenient location on an individual.

2. Background of the Invention

Sporting goods stores or clothing stores will sell tennis skirts or shorts with pockets. Some of these pockets do not have wide openings and while playing tennis it takes extra time to retrieve the ball from the pocket. This is an inconvenience and can slow down the game. The other inconvenience is that if you want to play tennis and you are wearing pants that don't have pockets or have small pockets then it makes it harder to play tennis. It is also an inconvenience to change into another outfit, and some tennis courts do not have a place where you can change.

OBJECTS AND ADVANTAGES

My invention has an adjustable belt to fit most waists, two pockets that hold 3 tennis balls each and is small enough to fit into a tennis bag. This belt enables tennis players to have easy access to tennis balls. This belt allows the tennis player to wear clothes without pockets and still have easy access to tennis balls. This belt can be kept with other tennis items, it does not take up a lot of room, and it could easily be kept in a tennis bag. Also, if there is no place to change into a tennis outfit, that is not a problem with this belt because it fits over all clothing.

SUMMARY

My invention is a tennis ball belt with two pockets, each able to contain 3 tennis balls. The belt is adjustable, attached with a no sew clip and is able to fit most waists.

FIG. 1 shows the insertion of the fabric into the clip.

FIG. 2 shows a sewn piece of fabric for the pocket.

FIG. 3 shows elastic belt fabric sewn onto the pocket fabric.

FIG. 4 shows the other end of the elastic belt fabric sewn onto the belt.

FIG. 5 shows the belt attached to the clip and with both pockets sewn on.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

To make the belt, first get a one-inch fabric that has some elastic quality. The fabric can be any color. Insert each end of the fabric into one space of the plastic no-sew clip and then pull through the other space on the clip. This secures the fabric onto the clip and creates your belt. (FIG. 1) This no-sew clip allows the belt to be adjustable and able to fit most waists. Cut either a mesh-like fabric or a cotton-polyester mix fabric approximately 11 inches long and 9 inches wide. Sew up the bottom and the sides, leaving the top open. (FIG. 2) This is the pocket. Sew about 2 inches of the same fabric used for the belt onto the top left and right corners of the pocket. This places the pockets below the waist and makes them easier to access. (FIG. 3) Sew the fabric onto the fabric of the belt. (FIG. 4) Repeat the process for the other pocket. This completes the belt with the fabric attached to the clip and with both pockets sewn on. (FIG. 5)
