Adjustable seal disposable diaper bags

Parents and child caretakers need a device to dispose of used diapers. The current diaper disposable systems house many used diapers for several days. Disposable diaper storage systems produce strong odors and are not well suited to be moved when parents and caretakers travel or take their children out of the house. Also, the diaper disposable systems must be cleaned frequently. The adjustable seal diaper disposable bags will be sized to accommodate used diapers. The adjustable bags can house one to three diapers. The adjustable bags will be small so they can be transported anywhere. The adjustable bags will remove air and produce a compact volume. Also, the bag will have an airtight seal which will keep in contaminates and odors. The adjustable seal disposable diaper bags will be inexpensive. After the adjustable seal disposable bags are used, they can be disposed of outside of the house to remove any undesirable odors.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention

Diapers are difficult to dispose of. The odor and dirt can contaminate households. A disposable bag which can seal in odors and contain contaminates is necessary. The adjustable seal disposable diaper bags would allow child caretakers to contain diaper contents and odors. The adjustable bags have a plastic pull string which can be moved just above the used diaper. The string is pulled to completely close the bag. Then an adhesive strip on the plastic pull string can be wrapped around the bag to form a permanent seal. The adjustable seal diaper bags can be discarded at the convenience of the child caretaker.

(2) Description of Related Art

The diaper disposable systems currently available store many used diapers indoors for several days. The contaminated diapers give off a strong odor and also the large disposal bins are unattractive. The diaper disposal systems also require cleaning and need to be transported to different rooms in the house where a child is to be changed. Finally, current diaper disposable systems cannot be carried by caretakers when they go out of their home.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Adjustable seal disposable diaper bags will allow child caretakers the ability to place used diapers in a small airtight bag. The disposable bags can be carried when caretakers travel or take short trips in their local area. The bags will have an adjustable plastic pull string which can be lowered. The pull string will be woven through slots on the outside layer of a two layer plastic bag. When the pull string is pulled tight, an adhesive strip on the string will be revealed. The adhesive strip can be winded around the plastic pull to provide a permanent seal. The adjustable seal disposable diaper bags can be taken outside, removing odor problems from the household. Also, the bags will be inexpensive so they do not have to be reused. The bags can accommodate a few diapers at a time if several children need to be changed at the same time.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF DRAWING

FIG. 1

The first drawing shows the two layer plastic bag from the front. The outside layer shows the two slots where the plastic has been cut. The back side of the bag will be identical also with two slots on the outside layer in the same position.

FIG. 2

The drawing shows the front side of the bag with the plastic pull outside the two slots in the outside layer of the bag. The plastic pull in widened at one end and is shown fed through the loop at the other end. The pull string can be lowered along the slots, thus adjusting the volume of the bag.

FIG. 3

The drawing shows the bag after the plastic pull has been lowered and pulled tight. Letter (a) designates the pull tab. Letter (b) designates the adhesive strip with wax paper cover as the pull is tight.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Adjustable seal disposable diaper bags are small airtight bags which contain contaminates and odors. The dimensions of the bag will be 14 inches long and 7 inches wide. The bag will be made of thin plastic with two layers. The inside layer will be made of impermeable plastic which can contain liquids and odors. The outside layer will be of identical size and makeup of the inside layer. However, the outside layer will have two slots on each side of the bag. The slots will be formed by punching out the plastic. The slots will start 4½ inches from the bottom of the bag and will continue up 6 inches towards the top of the bag. Each slot will be cut 1⅞ inches from the outside edge of the bag. Each slot will be ½ inch wide. A plastic pull 16 inches long will be used to close the bag. The plastic pull will be woven through the slots on the outside layer of the bag. The plastic pull will have a ¾ inch loop at one end. The plastic pull will be ¾ inches wide from the beginning of the loop to 14 inches. Then the opposite end will be expanded to two inches wide for a two inch section. The two inch by two inch section at the end of the pull will make up the pull tab.

From one inch at the base of the loop, a three inch adhesive strip will be covered with wax paper. The pull string will be woven through the slots on the outside of the bag and the pull tab strip will be inserted through the loop at the other end of the pull. The pull string can be lowered six inches along the slots of the exterior layer of the bag. When the pull string is moved, the volume of the bag is adjusted to the desired height. Once the plastic pull is adjusted, the tab will be pulled and excess air will be forced out of the top of the bag. Then the adhesive strip will be exposed. The wax paper cover will be peeled off and the three inch adhesive strip can be wrapped around the pull to make a permanent seal.

Claims

1) What I claim as my invention is a two layer disposable plastic bag sized to hold several used diapers.

2) I claim the bag can be adjusted to the desired volume by moving the plastic pull string up or down the four slots on the outside layer of the bag.

3) I claim the adjustable volume will force excess air to be removed and reduce the size of the waste.

4) I claim the plastic pull string will have an adhesive section which will produce an airtight seal.
