Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an exercising apparatus and, more particularly, to a folding exercising apparatus practical for training ballet, gymnastics, rhythmical dance, and any of a variety of exercises.

Following improvement of living standards, people do more care about the health and would spend time to exercise the body. Various exercising apparatus are commercially available for training different parts of the body. However, conventional exercising apparatus are not suitable for training ballet, gymnastics, or rhythmical dance. Further, conventional exercising apparatus are commonly of fixed type, requiring much storage space during delivery.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is therefore one object of the present invention to provide an exercising apparatus, which is folding collapsible.

According to one aspect of the present invention, the folding collapsible exercising apparatus comprises a baseboard, the baseboard having a first end, a second end, and an extension bar extended from the first end; a -shaped upright frame bar, the -shaped upright frame bar having two distal ends respectively pivoted to the first end of the baseboard; two back-sticks adapted to support the -shaped upright frame bar on the baseboard, the back-sticks each having a first end pivoted to the -shaped upright frame bar and a second end detachably locked to the extension bar; a swivel handlebar pivotally coupled to the -shaped upright frame bar; and two operating members for selectively coupling to the -shaped upright frame bar and the swivel handlebar for operation by the user.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the second end of each back-stick has a longitudinal series of mounting holes for fastening to the extension bar selectively.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 1, a folding collapsible exercising apparatus in accordance with the present invention is shown comprising a baseboard 1, a substantially -shaped upright frame bar 2, a swivel handlebar 3, two back-sticks 4, and two operating members 21. The baseboard 1 has an extension bar 10 extended from one end thereof. The -shaped upright frame bar 2 has two distal ends respectively pivoted to one end of the baseboard 1 adjacent to the extension bar 10. The swivel handlebar 3 is pivotally coupled to the -shaped upright frame bar 2. The two back-sticks 4 each have one end pivoted to the -shaped upright frame bar 2 and the other end provided with a longitudinal series of mounting holes 40 for selectively fastened to the extension bar 10 to support the -shaped upright frame bar 2 on the baseboard 1 in one of a series of angular positions. Further, eyelets 20 are provided at the -shaped upright frame bar 2 and the swivel handlebar 3 for the mounting of the operating members 21. The operating members 21 are selectively coupled to the eyelets 20 by, for example, a respective swivel hook. Preferably, the operating members 21 are elastic cord members respectively sleeved with a protective sleeve 22.

Referring to FIG. 2, when not in use, the back-sticks 4 are respectively disconnected from the extension bar 10, and then the -shaped upright frame bar 2 is turned downwards and closely attached to the baseboard 1 to save storage space.

Referring to FIGS. 3, 4 and 6, when in use, the baseboard 1 is placed on the floor, and then the -shaped upright frame bar 2 is turned upwards from the baseboard 1 to the desired angle, and then the back-sticks 4 are respectively locked to the extension bar 10, and then the operating members 21 are selectively coupled to the eyelets 20. When set, the user can operating the operating members 21 to train the muscles of the hands and the legs.

Although the present invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
