Interchangeable labels and patches
Interchangeable Labels and Patches is a self-explanatory invention. Presently, all clothing with labels and patches visible on the outside of the clothing is made with the labels and patches permanently affixed to the clothing. “Interchangeable Labels and Patches” will be made with the positive or negative side of magnets and/or Velcro permanently affixed to the article of clothing and the opposite side of the magnet and/or Velcro permanently affixed to the back of the label and/or patch so that the consumer can switch labels and/or patches with other labels and/or patches.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION“Interchangeable Labels and Patches” is classified in the field of clothing design. The majority of all types of clothing—pants, slacks, shorts, shirts, jackets, coats, shoes, belts, hats, etc.—has labels and/or patches permanently affixed in some manner to the outside of the clothing. This restrains the consumer to have to buy several different items listed above if only to get the same color item with a different label or patch. This is a waste of money for the consumer and a waste of space when it comes to storage for them and the manufacturer.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe basic idea behind “Interchangeable Labels and Patches” is to revolutionize the way that labels and patches are viewed and used when being applied to all articles of clothing. By simply making them interchangeable through permanently affixing magnets and/or Velcro to the article of clothing, the consumer is given the freedom to purchase various different labels and/or patches that can be switched with other labels and/or patches whenever desired. Changing the label and/or patch will change the look of the clothing, as if it is a totally different garment.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTIONThe invention “Interchangeable Labels and Patches” is a very simple concept. Instead of having labels and patches permanently sewn into all types of clothing—pants, slacks, shorts, shirts, jackets, coats, shoes, belts, hats, etc.—the positive or negative side of magnets and/or Velcro is permanently affixed to the article of clothing and the opposite side of the magnet and/or Velcro is permanently affixed to the back of the label and/or patch. In this fashion, the consumer can remove a label and/or patch and another label and/or patch can be applied to any article of clothing from any article of clothing. The label maker or other professional can easily incorporate this process into the manufacturing of the garments and labels and/or patches.
