A cap includes a visor having a front edge formed with two first cut lines and having two sides each having a first section formed with a plurality of second cut lines, a mediate section formed with a plurality of third cut lines and a rear section formed with an insert, and a crown removably mounted on the visor and having a first end provided with two opposite oblique plates and a second end provided with two opposite support strips each having a distal end formed with a plug. Thus, the foldable cap is mounted and folded easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating a user using the cap.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a cap, and more particularly to a foldable cap that is mounted and folded easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating a user using the cap.

2. Description of the Related Art

A cap is used to shelter a user's head and comprises a visor and a crown. A conventional cap in accordance with the prior art was disclosed in the Taiwanese Patent Publication No. 92205264 and comprises a main body, a visor mounted on the front edge of the main body, and a base plate for clamping and fixing the visor on the front edge of the main body. However, the conventional cap has a fixed structure and cannot be folded, thereby increasing the costs of package and transportation. In addition, the conventional cap has a fixed structure with a larger volume, thereby increasing space of storage thereof.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a cap, comprising a visor having a front edge formed with two first cut lines and having two sides each having a first section formed with a plurality of horizontal second cut lines, a mediate section formed with a plurality of third cut lines and a rear section formed with an insert; and a crown removably mounted on the visor and having a first end provided with two opposite oblique plates and a second end provided with two opposite support strips each having a distal end formed with a plug.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a foldable cap that is mounted and folded easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating a user using the cap.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a cap that is foldable, thereby saving space of storage thereof.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a cap having a smaller volume before assembly, thereby decreasing the costs of package and transportation.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a cap, wherein the visor and the upper portion of the crown are provided with patterns, marks and characters so that the cap functions as a mobile advertising board.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a cap in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a visor 11, and a crown 22.

The visor 11 is a horseshoe shaped plate. The visor 11 has a front edge formed with two first cut lines 110 and a plurality of air guide ports 111. The visor 11 has two sides each having a first section formed with a plurality of horizontal second cut lines 112, a mediate section formed with a plurality of substantially U-shaped third cut lines 113 and a rear section formed with an insert 114. Each of the air guide ports 111 of the visor 11 includes a folding line 1111 and an arc-shaped air guide plate 1112 removably mounted on the folding line 1111. The insert 114 of one of the two sides of the visor 11 is selectively inserted into either one of the third cut lines 113 of the other one of the two sides of the visor 11 as shown in FIG. 3 so as to adjust the peripheral length of the visor 11.

The visor 11 has a periphery provided with a first strap 115 formed with a plurality of vertical fourth cut lines 1151 and a second strap 116 detachably connected to the first strap 115 and formed with a plurality of substantially V-shaped fifth cut lines 1161 each detachably engaged with a respective one of the fourth cut lines 1151 of the first strap 115. Each of the first strap 115 and the second strap 116 of the visor 11 is located adjacent to one of the two sides of the visor 11. The first strap 115 of the visor 11 has an enlarged distal end formed with the fourth cut lines 1151. The second strap 116 of the visor 11 is extended through either one of the fourth cut lines 1151 of the first strap 115, and each of the fifth cut lines 1161 of the second strap 116 is detachably engaged with the respective fourth cut line 1151 of the first strap 115 as shown in FIG. 3.

The crown 22 is an oblong plate. The crown 22 is removably mounted on the visor 11 and is connected to the visor 11 by a folding line 21. The crown 22 has a first end provided with two opposite oblique plates 23 and a second end provided with two opposite support strips 24 each having a distal end formed with a plug 241 that is selectively inserted into either one of the second cut lines 112 of the visor 11 as shown in FIG. 3 so as to support the crown 22 on the visor 11. Each of the two opposite oblique plates 23 of the crown 22 is formed by an arc-shaped folding line 231.

In assembly, the folding line 21 of the crown 22 is folded upward so that the crown 22 is inclined relative to the visor 11 as shown in FIG. 2. Then, the plug 241 of each of the two support strips 24 of the crown 22 is selectively inserted into either one of the second cut lines 112 of the visor 11 as shown in FIG. 3 so as to support the crown 22 on the visor 11 for protecting a user's head. Then, the folding line 231 of each of the two oblique plates 23 of the crown 22 is folded inward form each of the two oblique plates 23 as shown in FIG. 2 so as to reduce the air drag applied on the crown 22. In addition, the crown 22 has a three-dimensional appearance by provision of the two oblique plates 23. Then, the air guide plate 1112 of each of the air guide ports 111 of the visor 11 is folded inward to form each of the air guide ports 111 as shown in FIG. 2 so as to provide smooth guidance to an air flow passing through each of the air guide ports 111, thereby preventing the visor 11 from being blown away by a strong wind. Then, the insert 114 of one of the two sides of the visor 11 is selectively inserted into either one of the third cut lines 113 of the other one of the two sides of the visor 11 as shown in FIG. 3 to adjust the peripheral length of the visor 11 so as to fit the user's head of different sizes.

As shown in FIG. 4, the crown 22 is folded forward, and the plug 241 of each of the two support strips 24 of the crown 22 is selectively inserted into a respective one of the two first cut lines 110 of the visor 11 so as to fold the crown 22.

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, the second strap 116 of the visor 11 is extended through either one of the fourth cut lines 1151 of the first strap 115, and each of the fifth cut lines 1161 of the second strap 116 is detachably engaged with the respective fourth cut line 1151 of the first strap 115 so that the first strap 115 and the second strap 116 are connected to abut the user's chin, and the visor 11 is fixed on the user's head, thereby attaching the cap on the user's head.

Accordingly, the cap is mounted and folded easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating a user using the cap. In addition, the cap is foldable, thereby saving space of storage thereof. Further, the cap has a smaller volume before assembly, thereby decreasing the costs of package and transportation. Further, the visor 11 and the upper portion of the crown 22 are provided with patterns, marks and characters so that the cap functions as a mobile advertising board.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A cap, comprising:

a visor having a front edge formed with two first cut lines and having two sides each having a first section formed with a plurality of horizontal second cut lines, a mediate section formed with a plurality of third cut lines and a rear section formed with an insert;
a crown removably mounted on the visor and having a first end provided with two opposite oblique plates and a second end provided with two opposite support strips each having a distal end formed with a plug.

2. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the visor is a horseshoe shaped plate.

3. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the front edge of the visor is formed with a plurality of air guide ports.

4. The cap in accordance with claim 3, wherein each of the air guide ports of the visor includes a folding line and an arc-shaped air guide plate removably mounted on the folding line.

5. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein each of the third cut lines of the visor is substantially U-shaped.

6. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the insert of one of the two sides of the visor is selectively inserted into either one of the third cut lines of the other one of the two sides of the visor so as to adjust the peripheral length of the visor.

The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the visor has a periphery provided with a first strap formed with a plurality of vertical fourth cut lines and a second strap detachably connected to the first strap and formed with a plurality of fifth cut lines each detachably engaged with a respective one of the fourth cut lines of the first strap.

8. The cap in accordance with claim 7, wherein each of the fifth cut lines of the visor is substantially V-shaped.

9. The cap in accordance with claim 7, wherein the each of the first strap and the second strap of the visor is located adjacent to one of the two sides of the visor.

10. The cap in accordance with claim 7, wherein the first strap of the visor has an enlarged distal end formed with the fourth cut lines.

11. The cap in accordance with claim 7, wherein the second strap of the visor is extended through either one of the fourth cut lines of the first strap, and each of the fifth cut lines of the second strap is detachably engaged with the respective fourth cut line of the first strap.

12. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the crown is an oblong plate.

13. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the crown and is connected to the visor by a folding line.

14. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein each of the two opposite oblique plates of the crown is formed by an arc-shaped folding line.

15. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the plug of each of the two support strips of the crown is selectively inserted into a respective one of the two first cut lines of the visor so as to fold the crown.

16. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the plug of each of the two support strips of the crown is selectively inserted into either one of.the second cut lines of the visor so as to support the crown on the visor.

17. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the crown is inclined relative to the visor.

18. The cap in accordance with claim 1, wherein the visor and an upper portion of the crown are provided with patterns, marks and characters so that the cap functions as a mobile advertising board.
