A bag adapted to serve as a paper support includes a bag defining an internal space for receiving an article therein, and an anti-tipping foot connected to a bottom side of the bag via a pivot bolt located within an area of the bag overlapping the anti-tipping foot. When the anti-tipping foot is pivotally turned about the pivot bolt to project at least an end from the bottom side of the bag, the bag is stably supported by the anti-tipping foot and protected from tipping over. The anti-tipping foot is provided at a free end with a flange that enables a user to operate the anti-tipping foot conveniently and prevents an article held between the flange and the bag from axially moving forward.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support, and more particularly to a bag having a supporting structure that prevents the bag from tipping over and enables the bag to serve as a paper support to stably hold an article in front of the bag.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Bags, including handbags, briefcases, suitcases, etc., are frequently used in daily life to carry different articles. Most bags are designed to provide a beautiful appearance and a desired capacity, such as that disclosed in Taiwanese Patent Publication No. 242052, or to enable convenient carry thereof, such as those disclosed in Taiwanese Patent Publication Nos. 295832 and 586365.

With the advancement in information technologies in recent years, a completely new mode of business effectuated through portable information products, such as notebook computers, personal digital assistants, etc., has appeared and is referred to as mobile office, and could be frequently found in many places, including airports, vehicles, public places, and client offices. The conventional bags obviously could not satisfy most users' requirements for holding necessary information products in the mobile office mode.

Taiwanese Patent publication No. 578478 discloses a briefcase for receiving a notebook computer therein. The briefcase includes a hollow case consisting of an upper and a lower shell that are hinged together to be pivotally opened or closed relative to each other. The upper and the lower shell together define a receiving space between them for holding a notebook computer therein. A sensing unit is fitted to one side of the receiving space for detecting an internal temperature of the hollow case and emitting a temperature-control signal. A temperature control unit is electrically connected to the sensing unit to normally maintain the internal temperature of the hollow case within a preset range according to the temperature-control signal emitted from the sensing unit. And, a power supply unit is electrically connected to the temperature control unit for supplying electric energy needed by the temperature control unit to operate normally.

When it is desired to input data or information from papers or documents into the portable information product, a user would usually loosely position the papers or documents over a desk or any relatively smooth surface, which might not always locate at a comfortable viewing or reading angle to easily tire the user. Moreover, the papers or documents scattered over the desk tend to get lost or damaged. Therefore, it is desirable to develop a bag to overcome such problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A primary object of the present invention is to provide a bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support, so that the bag is effectively prevented from tipping over with the help of the anti-tipping foot and may serve as a paper support to stably hold an article in front of the bag.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a bag being provided at a bottom side with an anti-tipping foot having a slide, which can be pivotally turned or axially moved outward to a working position for stably supporting the bag in an upright position, and can be pivotally turned or axially moved inward to a storage position when the anti-tipping foot is not in use.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a bag with anti-tipping foot having a slide with a rough top surface, so that an article could be more stably positioned and held on the anti-tipping foot in front of the bag.

To achieve the above and other objects, the bag according to the present invention includes a bag defining an internal space for receiving an article therein, and an anti-tipping foot connected to a bottom side of the bag via a pivot bolt located within an area of the bag overlapping the anti-tipping foot. When the anti-tipping foot is pivotally turned about the pivot bolt to project at least an end from the bottom side of the bag, the bag is stably supported by the anti-tipping foot and protected from tipping over. The anti-tipping foot is provided at a free end with a flange that enables a user to operate the anti-tipping foot conveniently and prevents an article held between the flange and the bag from axially moving forward.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Please refer to FIGS. 1 and 2 in which a bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper holder according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention is shown. As shown, the present invention includes a bag 10 defining an internal space for receiving an article therein, and an anti-tipping foot 30 provided at one side, for example, a bottom side, of the bag 10. In the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, the anti-tipping foot 30 has two ends and is connected to the bottom side of the bag 10 via a pivot bolt 40 located within an area of the bottom side overlapping the anti-tipping foot 30, so that the anti-tipping foot 30 is turnable about the pivot bolt 40. When the anti-tipping foot 30 is pivotally turned to project at least one end thereof from the bottom side of the bag 10, as shown in FIG. 2, the anti-tipping foot 30 provides a support to prevent the bag 10 from tipping over.

FIGS. 3 and 4 shows a bag 10 with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support according to a second preferred embodiment of the present invention. The second embodiment is generally similar to the first embodiment, except that it has an anti-tipping foot 30 having an end 31 partially provided with a rough top surface, and an upward flange E formed at a free end of the anti-tipping foot 30. The end 31 with rough top surface and the upward flange E together enable the bag 10 to serve as a paper support to stably hold an article 20 in front of the bag 10 in an upright or an inclined position most suitable for a user to read or view without easily becoming tired.

FIGS. 5 and 6 shows a bag 10 with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support according to a third preferred embodiment of the present invention. The third embodiment is generally similar to the first preferred embodiment, except that it has an anti-tipping foot 30 formed from a case 320 and a slide 310 reciprocatingly movable along a longitudinally extended channel (not shown) defined in the case 320. By moving the slide 310 out of the case 320 to different distances, an overall length of the anti-tipping foot 30 could be changed to match a thickness of or adjust an inclination of an article (not shown) to be stably held in front of the bag 10 for viewing comfortably. Again, the slide 310 is provided at a free end with a flange E that enables a user to move the slide 310 conveniently and stops the article from moving axially forward on the anti-tipping foot 30.

Please refer to FIG. 7 that shows a bag 10 according to a fourth preferred embodiment of the present invention. The fourth embodiment is generally similar to the third embodiment and includes an anti-tipping foot 30 having a slide 310. However, the slide 310 of the fourth embodiment has an end 31 being partially provided with a rough top surface for more stably holding an article (not shown) in front of the bag 10 in a desired upright or inclined position.

The present invention has been described with some preferred embodiments thereof and it is understood that many changes and modifications in the described embodiments can be carried out without departing from the scope and the spirit of the invention that is intended to be limited only by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support, comprising a bag, and an anti-tipping foot provided at one side of said bag; and said anti-tipping foot having an end that is partially provided with a rough top surface.

2. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 1, wherein said anti-tipping foot is connected to one side of said bag via a pivot bolt located within an area of said bag overlapping said anti-tipping foot.

3. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 1, wherein said anti-tipping foot is formed at a free end with a flange.

4. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 1, wherein said anti-tipping foot is adapted to hold or support an article in front of said bag.

5. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 1, wherein said anti-tipping foot includes a case, and a slide longitudinally movably located in said case.

6. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 5, wherein said case defines a longitudinally extended channel, in which said slide is movably located.

7. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 5, wherein said slide is partially provided at an end with a rough top surface.

8. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 5, wherein said slide is formed at a free end with a flange.

9. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 7, wherein said slide is adapted to hold or support an article in front of said bag.

10. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 6, wherein said slide is partially provided at an end with a rough top surface.

11. The bag with anti-tipping foot adapted to serve as a paper support as claimed in claim 6, wherein said slide is formed at a free end with a flange.
