Cushion having enhanced friction

A cushion includes a main body, wherein the lowermost or outermost layer of the main body has a protruding meshed surface by provision of the mesh layer so as to enhance the surface friction coefficient of the cushion, thereby providing an anti-skid effect. In addition, the main body of the cushion has a protruding meshed surface so as to increase the strength of the cushion, thereby enhancing the lifetime of the cushion.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a cushion, and more particularly to a cushion having an enhanced surface friction coefficient.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional cushion in accordance with the prior art shown in FIG. 7 comprises a sponge layer 1, a first cloth layer 11 mounted on an upper portion of the sponge layer 1, and a second cloth layer 12 mounted on a lower portion of the sponge layer 1. However, when the second cloth layer 12 touches the ground, the second cloth layer 12 is easily wet due to the moisture of the ground, so that the sponge layer 1 and the first cloth layer 11 are also wet by the second cloth layer 12, thereby causing an uncomfortable sensation to a user when sleeping on the cushion.

Another conventional cushion in accordance with the prior art shown in FIG. 8 comprises a sponge layer 2, a first cloth layer 21 mounted on an upper portion of the sponge layer 2, a second cloth layer 22 mounted on a lower portion of the sponge layer 2, and a TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) layer 23 mounted between the first cloth layer 21 and the second cloth layer 22. Thus, the TPU layer 23 prevents the moisture of the ground from infiltrating into the sponge layer 2, thereby providing a comfortable sensation to a user when sleeping on the cushion. However, the second cloth layer 22 has a smooth surface, so that the cushion easily slips on the ground, thereby easily causing disturbance to the user. In addition, the second cloth layer 22 is constantly rubbed by the ground, so that the second cloth layer 22 is easily worn out, thereby decreasing the lifetime of the cushion.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a cushion having an enhanced surface friction coefficient.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a cushion having an enhanced surface strength.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a cushion, wherein the lowermost or outermost layer of the main body of the cushion has a protruding meshed surface by provision of the mesh layer so as to enhance the surface friction coefficient of the cushion, thereby providing an anti-skid effect.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a cushion, wherein the main body of the cushion has a protruding meshed surface so as to increase the strength of the cushion, thereby enhancing the lifetime of the cushion.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a cushion in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body 10 including a sponge layer 3, a first TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) layer 31 mounted on an upper portion of the sponge layer 3, a cloth layer 32 mounted on the first TPU layer 31, a second TPU layer 33 mounted on a lower portion of the sponge layer 3, a mesh layer 34 mounted on the second TPU layer 33, and a third TPU layer 35 mounted on the mesh layer 34.

Preferably, the mesh layer 34 is made of a polyester or nylon and has a surface formed with a plurality of meshes 340 (see FIG. 2). In addition, each of the meshes 340 of the mesh layer 34 has a circular, square, diamond or rectangular shape.

In fabrication, the first TPU layer 31, the cloth layer 32, the second TPU layer 33, the mesh layer 34 and the third TPU layer 35 are sealed at a periphery thereof by a high frequency wave.

As shown in FIG. 2, the mesh layer 34 and the third TPU layer 35 are fused and mixed with each other by the high frequency wave, so that the third TPU layer 35 is integrally formed with the mesh layer 34 to have a protruding meshed shape by provision of the mesh layer 34.

Accordingly, the lowermost layer (the third TPU layer 35) of the main body 10 of the cushion has a protruding meshed surface by provision of the mesh layer 34 so as to enhance the surface friction coefficient of the cushion, thereby providing an anti-skid effect. In addition, the main body 10 of the cushion has a protruding meshed surface so as to increase the strength of the cushion, thereby enhancing the lifetime of the cushion.

As shown in FIG. 4, the mesh layer 34 has a peripheral length smaller than that of the second TPU layer 33 and the third TPU layer 35, so that the periphery of the mesh layer 34 does not reach the sealed periphery of the second TPU layer 33 and the third TPU layer 35.

As shown in FIG. 5, the mesh layer 34 has a peripheral length equal to that of the second TPU layer 33 and the third TPU layer 35, so that the periphery of the mesh layer 34 reaches the sealed periphery of the second TPU layer 33 and the third TPU layer 35. Thus, the second TPU layer 33, the mesh layer 34 and the third TPU layer 35 are sealed at the periphery thereof.

Referring to FIG. 6, a cushion in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body 10A including a sponge layer 4, a first TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) layer 41 mounted on a peripheral portion of the sponge layer 4, a mesh layer 42 mounted on a peripheral portion of the first TPU layer 41, and a second TPU layer 43 mounted on a peripheral portion of the mesh layer 42. Preferably, the mesh layer 42 is made of a polyester or nylon. In fabrication, the first TPU layer 41, the mesh layer 42 and the second TPU layer 43 are sealed at a periphery thereof by a high frequency wave. Thus, the mesh layer 42 and the second TPU layer 43 are mixed with each other by the high frequency wave, so that the second TPU layer 43 is integrally formed with the mesh layer 42 to have a protruding meshed shape by provision of the mesh layer 42.

Accordingly, the outermost layer (the second TPU layer 43) of the main body of the cushion has a protruding meshed surface by provision of the mesh layer 42 so as to enhance the surface friction coefficient of the cushion, thereby providing an anti-skid effect. In addition, the main body of the cushion has a protruding meshed surface so as to increase the strength of the cushion, thereby enhancing the lifetime of the cushion.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A cushion, comprising a main body including:

a sponge layer;
a first TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) layer mounted on an upper portion of the sponge layer;
a cloth layer mounted on the first TPU layer;
a second TPU layer mounted on a lower portion of the sponge layer;
a mesh layer mounted on the second TPU layer; and
a third TPU layer mounted on the mesh layer.

2. The cushion in accordance with claim 1, wherein the mesh layer has a surface formed with a plurality of meshes.

3. The cushion in accordance with claim 2, wherein each of the meshes of the mesh layer has a circular, square, diamond or rectangular shape.

4. The cushion in accordance with claim 1, wherein the mesh layer is made of a polyester.

5. The cushion in accordance with claim 1, wherein the mesh layer is made of a nylon.

6. The cushion in accordance with claim 1, wherein the first TPU layer, the cloth layer, the second TPU layer, the mesh layer and the third TPU layer are sealed at a periphery thereof.

7. The cushion in accordance with claim 1, wherein the mesh layer and the third TPU layer are fused and mixed with each other, so that the third TPU layer is integrally formed with the mesh layer to have a protruding meshed shape by provision of the mesh layer.

8. The cushion in accordance with claim 1, wherein the mesh layer has a peripheral length smaller than that of the second TPU layer and the third TPU layer, so that the periphery of the mesh layer does not reach the sealed periphery of the second TPU layer and the third TPU layer.

9. The cushion in accordance with claim 1, wherein the mesh layer has a peripheral length equal to that of the second TPU layer and the third TPU layer, so that the periphery of the mesh layer reaches the sealed periphery of the second TPU layer and the third TPU layer.

10. The cushion in accordance with claim 9, wherein the second TPU layer, the mesh layer and the third TPU layer are sealed at the periphery thereof.

11. A cushion, comprising a main body including:

a sponge layer;
a first TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) layer mounted on a peripheral portion of the sponge layer;
a mesh layer mounted on a peripheral portion of the first TPU layer; and
a second TPU layer mounted on a peripheral portion of the mesh layer.

12. The cushion in accordance with claim 11, wherein the mesh layer is made of a polyester or nylon.

13. The cushion in accordance with claim 11, wherein the first TPU layer, the mesh layer and the second TPU layer are sealed at a periphery thereof.

14. The cushion in accordance with claim 11, wherein the mesh layer and the second TPU layer are mixed with each other, so that the second TPU layer is integrally formed with the mesh layer to have a protruding meshed shape by provision of the mesh layer.
