Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a darts game device, and more particularly to a dartboard having signs detachably mounted thereon.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional dartboard has a disk-like board member 10, on which a central target 11 and twenty target sections 12 around the central target 11 are provided. A margin of the board member 10 is labeled with numerals 13 (1 to 20) associated with the target sections 12, as shown in FIG. 1. Such dartboards had been presented to the market for a long time, and they bore the consumers.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a dartboard, which has a novelty design of the dartboard.

According to the objective of the present invention, a dartboard has a board member and a plurality of signs. The board member has a plurality of target sections on a front side thereof. The signs are detachably mounted on the board member associated with the target sections respectively.

FIG. 2 is a front view of a first preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a rear view of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a second preferred embodiment of the present invention, and

FIG. 6 is a perspective view of a third preferred embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

As shown in FIG. 2 to FIG. 4, a dartboard of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises:

A disk-like board member 20 has a central target 21 at a front side thereof, a plurality of radial target sections 22 around the central target 21 and a plurality of connecting portions 23 on a periphery thereof associated with the target sections 22 respectively. The connecting portions 23 are slots on the periphery of the board member 20, each of which are open at a rear side of the board member 20 and are closed at the front side. The slots 23 have widths at top ends thereof less than that at bottoms thereof.

A plurality of signs 30, each has a display portion 31, on which a numeral 32 is provided. The numerals 32 can be printed on papers to be stuck on the display portions 31 respectively, and they can be printed on the display portions 31 also. It is easy to understand that the signs 30 can have icons, characters, pictures and the like on the display portion 31 respectively. Each of the signs 30 further has a connecting portion 33 respectively, which are blocks projected from ends of the signs 30 with widths at proximal ends less than that at distal ends.

The connecting portions (blocks) 33 of the signs 30 are engaged with the connecting portions (slots) 23 of the board member 20 from the rear side, such that the signs 30 are mounted on the periphery of the board member 20 associated with the target sections 22 respectively, as shown in FIG. 2. The signs 30 are selected to be connected with the various connecting portions 23 of the board member 20 according to the player's choice to change the pattern of the dartboard of the present invention.

As shown in FIG. 5, a dartboard of the second preferred embodiment of the present invention has a board member 40 and a plurality of signs 50. The board member 40 has a central target 41, a plurality of target sections 42 and connecting portions 43. The connecting portions 43 are holes on a periphery of the board member 40. The signs 50 each have a post-like connecting portion 51 to be inserted into the connecting portions 43 (holes) of the board member 40.

There still are many ways to detachably mount the signs on the board member of the present invention, such as magnets, Velcro and the equivalences.

As shown FIG. 6, the third preferred embodiment of the present invention provides an electronic dartboard, which is similar to the dartboard of the second preferred embodiment, having a board member and a plurality of signs, wherein the board member has holes 60 on a periphery thereof and the signs each have a post 70 to be inserted into the holes 60 respectively. The posts 70 of the signs each have an electric terminal 71 and the board member also has electric terminals (not shown) in the holes 60, and the terminals are electrically connected while the posts 70 are inserted into the holes 60. When a dart (not shown) is stuck to a specific target section of the board member of the dartboard of the present invention, it gives an electric signal from a circuit (not shown) of the board member to the very sign via the terminals 71 and activates an output device (not shown), which can be lights, buzzer or speakers, in the sign broadcasting audio and/or visual output. The signs broadcast various outputs that give more fun of the game.
