Salution

The adjustable magnetic system pertains to a length of ½″ by 8″-12″ magnetic fiber stripping or strips sewn into a section of material on a given side of clothing or item. A series of small magnetic circles or squares are sewn into the opposite side, independently of each other at one to three inch intervals. This technique enables the consumer, or the wearer of the article, to quickly adjust the item to the exact size needed and to attach, remove or reattach with ease.

Description

The invention titled, “Salution”, by the inventor, Salvatore Meranto, is a new way of an enclosure or fastening of hair styling capes and smocks, including, but not limited to, all articles of clothing and footwear, styling capes and smocks, backpacks, purses, wallets, blankets, infant ware, sportswear including but not limited to, covers of indoor and outdoor furniture, grills, awnings, automotive and/or bike or motorcycle covers and removable automotive tops.

In the top collar that wraps around the smocks, styling capes or upper clothing ware, (see FIGS. 1, 2, 3 & 6), a ½ inch by 8″-12″ strip of magnetic fiber is sewn in on the left, whereas two small round magnets, approximately ¼ inch in size, are sewn into the right side. This same technique is applied to all the other designs of clothing (see FIG. 5), footwear (see FIG. 4) and articles listed above in the first paragraph (see FIG. 7).

The “Salution” concept can be used in place of buttons, snaps, Velcro, zippers and other means of closures on articles of any clothing and footwear. “Salution” insures a secure, comfortable fit for different neck sizes, helping to prevent hair or color from going onto client's clothing, in the use of the hairstyling capes and smocks. This also applies in a firm, comfortable closure of shirts, pants, footwear and any other articles of clothing.
