Fastening device for the pellet dropping member of a paint-pellet gun

A fastening device for the pellet-dropping member of a paint-pellet gun includes a gun body fixed with a pellet dropping member and having a pellet-dropping hole, two support edges and two threaded holes. A pellet-dropping member is assembled on the pellet-dropping hole, having a support base and a sleeve. The support base has a pellet intake, two lugs, male threads and a positioning member cut with plural vertical notches and provided with an annular tapering edge. The sleeve is threadably fitted around the support base, having its upper inner wall formed with a slope matching with the tapering edge of the support base fixed on the support edges. After a pellet-storing case is inserted in the pellet-dropping member, the sleeve is screwed downward to force the positioning member to tighten the pellet-storing case.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

This invention relates to a fastening device for the pellet dropping member of a paint-pellet gun, particularly to one having a gun body bored with a pellet dropping hole having its opposite sides respectively provided with a support edge and a threaded hole, and a pellet dropping member is assembled on the pellet dropping hole of the gun body. The pellet-dropping member is composed of a support base and a sleeve. The support base of the pellet-dropping member has its topside bored with a pellet intake, its lower end provided with two lugs, its intermediate circumference formed with male threads and its upper portion formed with a positioning member having its circumferential wall cut with a plurality of vertical notches and its upper end formed with an annular tapering edge. The sleeve is threadably fitted around the support base of the pellet dropping member, having its inner wall formed with a slope matching with the annular tapering edge of the support base. In assembling, the support base of the pellet dropping member has its lugs positioned on the support edges at the opposite sides of the pellet dropping hole of the gun body and secured thereon by bolts and then the sleeve is threadably fitted on the support base. After a pellet storing case is inserted in the pellet-dropping member, the sleeve of the pellet-dropping member is screwed downward to push against the support base and force the positioning member of the support base to tighten the pellet storing case.

2. Description of the Prior Art

A conventional paint-pellet gun 1, as shown in FIG. 1, has a gun body provided with a pellet case holder 11 for receiving thereon a pellet storing case 12 having its lower side bored with a tubular member with a pellet-dropping opening 120 inserted in the pellet case holder 11 for paint pellets to drop in the gun barrel therethrough. Since the conventional pellet storing case 12 has its pellet-dropping opening combined with the pellet case holder 11 in a way of inserting; therefore, if the outer diameter of the pellet-dropping opening 120 is too large, it cannot be inserted in the pellet case holder 11. On the contrary, if the outer diameter of the pellet-dropping opening 120 is smaller than the inner diameter of the pellet case holder 11, the pellet storing case 12 cannot be firmly fixed in position. In addition, in the course of a paint pellet game, the pellet storing case 12 is likely to be collided to slant to one side or fall off, rendering paint pellets unable to smoothly drop into the gun barrel for striking. Under the circumstances, it is possible to make the paint pellets deadlocked or cracked and the gun bore may be clogged by the cracked paint pellets, increasing much trouble in cleaning of the gun bore.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The objective of the invention is to offer a fastening device for the pellet-dropping member of a paint-pellet gun, easy to be disassembled and able to be assembled stably.

The feature of the invention is a pellet dropping hole bored in the upper side of a gun body and having its opposite sides respectively provided with a support edge and a threaded hole. A pellet-dropping member assembled on the pellet-dropping hole is composed of a support base and a sleeve. The support base has its hollow interior formed with a pellet intake, its lower end provided with lugs to be positioned on the support edges at the opposite sides of the pellet dropping hole and its intermediate portion formed with male threads. The support base further has its upper portion formed with a positioning member having its circumferential wall cut with a plurality of vertical notches and its upper end provided with an annular tapering edge. The sleeve threadably fitted around the support base has its upper inner wall formed with a slope and its lower inner wall formed with female threads respectively matching with the annular tapering edge and screwed with the male threads of the support base.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

A preferred embodiment of a fastening device for the pellet-dropping member of a paint-pellet gun in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4, includes a gun body 2, a pellet dropping member 3 and a pellet-storing case 4 combined together.

The gun body 2 has its topside bored with a pellet dropping hole 20 communicating with its bore and having the opposite sides respectively provided with a support edge 21 and a threaded hole 22.

The pellet-dropping member 3 assembled on the pellet-dropping hole 20 of the gun body 2 is composed of a support base 30 and a sleeve 31. The support base 30 has its hollow interior formed with a pellet intake 300, its lower end provided with two lugs 301 to be fixed on the support edges 21 at the opposite sides of the pellet dropping hole 20 of the gun body 2 and its intermediate portion formed with male threads 302. The support base 30 further has its upper portion formed with a positioning member 303 having its circumferential wall cut with a plurality of vertical notches 304 and its upper end provided with an annular tapering edge 305. The sleeve 31 threadably fitted around the support base 30 has its upper inner wall formed with a slope 310 matching with the annular tapering edge 305 of the support base 30 and its lower inner wall formed with female threads 311 to engage with the male threads 302 of the support base 30.

The pellet-storing case 4 fitted in the pellet dropping member 3 has its lower side fixed with a tubular member with a pellet outlet 40 aligned to the pellet intake 300 of the pellet dropping member 3 for guiding paint pellets to drop into the gun barrel.

In assembling and using, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 6, firstly, the support base 30 of the pellet dropping member 3 has the two lugs 301 positioned on the support edges 21 at the opposite sides of the pellet dropping hole 20 of the gun body 2 and then two bolts 5 are respectively screwed in the two threaded holes 22 and have their heads respectively and closely pushing against the two lugs 301 to fix the support base 30 in position. Next, the sleeve 31 is threadably fitted around the support base 30 from above and, after the pellet-storing case 4 has its pellet outlet 40 inserted in the pellet dropping member 3, the sleeve 31 is screwed downward to let the slope 310 of its upper inner wall closely push against the annular tapering edge 305 of the support base 30 to force the positioning member 303 of the support base 30 to tighten the pellet-storing case 4, as shown in FIG. 5.

As can be understood from the above description, this invention has the following advantages.

1. The pellet-storing case can be quickly and stably assembled together with the pellet-dropping member, impossible to fall off.

2. The combination tightness of the pellet-storing case with the pellet-dropping member can be adjusted by the sleeve of the pellet-dropping member; therefore, different-sized pellet-storing cases can be combined with the pellet-dropping member for use.

3. It is not necessary to unscrew the bolts in order to replace the sleeve, quick and convenient in handling.

While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A fastening device for the pellet dropping member of a paint-pellet gun comprising a gun body fixed thereon with a pellet dropping member, a pellet-string case assembled on said pellet dropping member, said pellet-storing case having its lower side provided with a tubular member with a pellet outlet, said tubular pellet outlet of said pellet-storing case aligned to said pellet dropping member for guiding paint pellets to drop into the gun barrel; and,

characterized by a pellet dropping hole bored in the topside of said gun body, said pellet dropping hole having its opposite sides respectively provided with a support edge and a threaded hole, said pellet dropping member assembled on said pellet dropping hole of said gun body, said pellet dropping member composed of a support base and a sleeve, said support base having its hollow interior formed with a pellet intake, said support base having its lower end secured with two lugs to be fixed on said support edges of said pellet dropping hole, said support base having its intermediate portion formed with male threads, said support base having its upper portion provided with a positioning member, said positioning member having its circumferential wall cut with a plurality of vertical notches, said positioning member having its upper end provided with an annular tapering edge, said sleeve threadably fitted around said support base, said sleeve having its upper inner wall formed with a slope and its lower inner wall formed with female threads, said slope of said sleeve matching with said annular tapering edge of said support base, said female threads of said sleeve screwed with said male threads of said support base.
