CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims of the benefit of application Ser. No. ______, filed Jan. 20, 2005.

BACKGROUND

Shoes and purses, and ladies accessories in general, can cost much money. For a slight change of outfit involving a purse or a pair of shoes, purchases of variations can lead to spending budgets being exceeded. A need exists to allow a multitude of variations in accessory offerings relating to shoes and purses, particularly for women.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

In one preferred aspect of the invention, an ornamental design is included on or made part of a material such as cloth, plastic or the like which includes a strip of Velcro® on one side. With reference to FIG. 1 which illustrates a side view of shoe 2 having Velcro® strip 4, ornamental material 6 adjoins to strip 4 by a complementing Velcro® material 5 on one side of ornamental material 6. Complementing Velcro® material refers to that which will allow two Velcro® materials to adhere to one another. Ornamental material 6 can, for instance, represent a button. Further, ornamental material 6 can be any type of decorative object. For instance, ornamental material 6 can be a bow, a sash, a clasp, or a piece of jewelry. The jewelry is contemplated as being a real or imitation stone. Alternatively, the jewelry can, for instance, be a synthetic material or a gold plated or silver plated article of manufacture.

Another preferred aspect of the invention is shown in FIG. 2. Purse 10 can include one or more Velcro® strips 4 as shown in FIG. 2. In FIG. 2, strips 4 are place on one side of purse fastener 12. Ornamental material 6 includes complementing Velcro® material on one side (not shown) and attaches to strips 4. A variety of patterns, shapes and materials can represent ornamental material 6. Ornamental material 6 can be represented by the shapes and objects noted above with respect to shoe 2 of FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a top view of a pattern which can serve as ornamental material 6.

The foregoing described ornamental material 6 can change the entire look of the accessory. However, this affect can likely be accomplished at a fraction of the cost of having to replace or change the entire accessory.

Although the invention herein has been described with reference to particular embodiments, it is to be understood that these embodiments are merely illustrative of the principles and applications of the present invention. It is therefore to be understood that numerous modifications may be made to the illustrative embodiments and that other arrangements may be devised without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims.
