BACKGROUND

1. Field of Invention

This invention relates to the fields of essential oils, aromatherapy, and gemstone properties.

And, this invention relates to therapeutic jewelry, specifically to such jewelry which conveys therapeutic energy in a usable and aesthetic way.

2. Description of Prior Art

The art and science of aromatherapy relating to essential oils is well documented throughout history. Cultures ancient and modern have studied and used the knowledge gained from observing the specific properties of each essential oil. Healing, calming, energizing, and overall transforming for humans are just some of the properties attested to.

The power and energy derived from gemstones and crystals has also been highly attested to historically. Each specific gemstone and crystal has unique and specific properties attributed to it. The art and science that has arisen out of the knowledge gained through observation of, and experimentation with, gemstones and crystals is constantly gaining in popularity.

Great interest in the properties of these sciences and beliefs exists and is still growing to this day. This is probably especially true in, but by no means limited to, “New Age” thought and lifestyle, and “alternative” medicine and culture.

Previous art has mixtures of essential oils made up for specific intentions. This could be for mood, inspiration, healing, etc.

Previous art also has gemstones and crystals set and configured for specific intentions. This could also be for mood, inspiration, healing, etc.

However, what is lacking in the previous art is the combining of essential oils with gemstones and thus creating a new form of infusion that is unique and completely individualized. The two separate bodies of knowledge have not directly intermingled.

The infusion of gemstones in the essential oil mixture that would give a completely new and enhanced focus and power for a specific intention, if used properly, has not been done.

And not only has this not been done before, it hasn't been done in a usable, artistic jewelry form.

EXPLANATIONS AND DEFINITIONS

Some terms will come up that are relevant and additional to the basic, boiled-down expression of this invention.

Reiki—Pronounced ‘ray-key’ is made up of two words-‘rei’ and ‘ki’. ‘Rei’ can be interpreted as a higher form of intelligence while ‘ki’ denotes life force. Taken together, ‘reiki’ is understood to be a kind of universal energy. This healing system works by raising the vibrations of the being or object to be healed, closer to that of the practitioner. Reiki is a multi-dimensional energy healing system, which can heal the cause of a problem at whatever level it may exist-body, mind, or spirit.

Reiki is transferred to students by Reiki Masters through a series of attunements. During an attunement process, the Master selects a series of symbols, which represent important points located along a person's energy field, and guides them through higher vibrations of energy. This attunement process enables recipients to access the healing energy on their own—and in turn, help others to access it too.

Chakra—Chakras are the vortices that penetrate the body and the body's aura, through which various energies, including the universal life force, are received, transformed, and distributed. Chakras are believed to play a vital role in physical, mental, and emotional health and in spiritual development. They are invisible to ordinary sight but may be perceived clairvoyantly or by use of aura photography. It is said of some people that they can activate the chakras to whirl faster and can direct the flow of energy through them.

Chakra is Sanskrit for “wheel.” Chakras are said to be shaped like multicolored lotus petals or spoked wheels that whirl at various speeds as they process energy.

There is no accepted scientific definite evidence that the chakras exist; until recently, they were dismissed by Western medicine. They have been increasingly acknowledged, along with the acupuncture, meridians and other Eastern Systems, in alternative treatments. Evidence for the existence of chakras, albeit controversial, has been presented by Hiroshi Motoyama of Japan, who hypothesized that an enlightened person could influence the chakras, and the energy output would be measurable. Using a lead-lined recording booth, Motoyama measured the energy field opposite various chakras which subjects claimed to have awakened, usually through years of meditation. He found that the energy levels at those areas were significantly greater than over the same areas of control subjects.

Color therapy—A healing therapy that uses color to bring about a balance in one's being. This is also known as chromatherapy.

All of the above mixtures are then charged with Reiki energy to focus even greater their respective properties.

The properties discussed in the above mixtures have been narrowed down to one or two and simplified for the reader to get the basic concept. Each of the ingredients has many more properties both physical and spiritual, esoteric and non-esoteric, including Chakra stimulation, that are not necessary to go into in this context.

ADDITIONAL EMBODIMENTS

A preferred embodiment of gemstone-infused essential oil mixture can be contained inside a small colored glass bottle that is attachable to and removable from, by screwing or twisting into, a latched silver crown or cap that has gemstones fastened to it. This is attached to a wire or string, including a silver jewelry rope chain, for wearing as a necklace. This container and crown could also be used as part of an earring fixture and/or clip-on pin, or ring, etc. The gemstone-infused essential oil mixture inside would relate to specific themes. When the bottle is removed from the crown the essential oils can be inhaled and/or applied to different parts of the body surface for healing, energizing, centering, etc. The essential oils infuse with the energies of the specific chosen gemstones in correlation with the color theme and are then amplified with Reiki energy to achieve the intended results.
