Storage case for portable computer game cartridges

A two-sided folding case for storage of portable computer game cartridges. The case contains numerous mesh pockets sized to fit individual game cartridges. Pocket size varies to accommodate different types and sizes of game cartridges. Pockets are made out of mesh for viewing cartridges within. The mesh has elastic on the top so that it will help hold the cartridges in place and they will not fall out. The exterior edge of the case is zippered on three sides. Case size varies based upon the number of cartridges to be stored.

Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

I came up with this idea because each of my four children own hand-held computer game players. The game players accommodate many different games and videos. Each game and video for use in these players is contained in a separate game cartridge. The cartridges are inserted into the hand-held players. Because hundreds of different games and videos are available in these cartridges, each child may have many game cartridges. These game cartridges are both expensive and fragile. Unfortunately, they are also small and easy for children to lose.

Many families use plastic sandwich bags to carry their numerous game cartridges because no storage case for the cartridges is available at present. Parents have complained about the lack of an adequate storage case for these expensive game cartridges. There are game player storage cases available that include a small area for minimal storage of cartridges. In these game player cases, the cartridge storage area is inadequate for several reasons. The number of cartridges held is minimal and it is difficult to distinguish individual cartridges.

The storage case should make each cartridge easily visible to distinguish between the numerous cartridges in the case. Each pocket should also be designed to keep the individual cartridge firmly held in place. The case should close tightly in the event any cartridges become loose within the case will not fall out.

When my children take out the cartridges to play a game or video, they are always dropping them on the floor or in the car because to pick a game or video you have to keep taking them out to find the cartridge they want to play. When cleaning the house or car I am always finding tapes laying around. It would make more sense to have them in a zippered case so you can open the case and view the cartridges.

As far as the strap for carrying, the case we own only has a hand strap and my children always want to take their Gameboys into places. The problem with this is they get sick of carrying them and put them down somewhere and then they cannot remember where they are. If the case had a shoulder strap or was made like a fanny pack they could go places hands free.
