Structure of DIY fence

This invention is a kind of improved DIY fence structure. The structural design mainly the two flat pieces of the linking rod are designed with corresponding grooves so that the fence rods could be slotted in; the vertical fence rods are designed with expanding section at pre-defined position; to which as the vertical fence rods is slotted into position at the linking-rod, then use several bolts to tighten the two flat pieces of the linking rod to complete the fence unit. And further enables linking-rods of all fence rods to maintain at same level state when the neighboring fence unit and the pre-erected standing rods are assembled together for overall aesthetic look.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Field of the Invention

This invention is the constituent structure of a kind of DIY fence. The main design is a combinatorial linking rods of fence by using the pre-designed slotting frame for vertical fence rod set with the preset expanding section of corresponding matching vertical fence rod portion for the vertical fence rod and linking rod to obtain convenience in fast assembly and positioning, so that when it is being packaged and shipment out of plants the unassembled state can be used for packaging in order to reduce dimensions and achieve the advantage of reduced packaging and transportation cost. And when using it only simple slotting lock is required to complete the assembly of fence unit and through the two ends of the linking rod and the connectors of pre-erected standing pole for fastening to complete the whole assembly of the innovative fence. The design has the value in the industry and convenient to impletement.

(b) Description of the Prior Arts

For information, in the farming garden or courtyard of ordinary family usually a fence is installed for isolation purpose. And traditionally linking rods and several vertical-erecting rods are constructed in the design of such kind of fence. This kind of operating method is quite troublesome and time consuming, hence some people use the fence unit made of linking rods of suitable length and a number of vertical rods and construct a continuous combinatorial fence structure on the work area in order to simplify the fence constructing operation and shorten working time for better convenience in implementation.

However, looking at the structure of this pre-assembled fence unit, the linking rods and vertical fence rods are pre-assembled before shipment (usually are welded together) before surface treatment such as plating or painting of powder before packaging and sales. Under this fixed structure, the dimension of each fence unit is very large and the subsequent surface processing after assembly of linking rods and vertical fence rods, resulting relatively large problem and inconvenience. Adding the fact that the huge size will create extremely large cost burden in the shipment packaging and transportation cost, it is not in favor of the economic benefit principle in the industrial utilization and requires improvement.

In addition, this kind of fence structure is a fixed design and requires specialist to assemble. Also, after the assembly, it is not possible to take down and re-assembly freely. In other words, this kind of pre-assembled fence could not be assembled by consumer himself, or when consumer needs to change the style of the fence he would have to hire workers to take it down and re-assemble, resulting in inconvenience and financial burden. The re-assembled style is also quite limited due to the fixed structure and therefore cannot be called practical.

To address the problems revealed above, presently there are several types of fence unit structures available in the market that have movable linking rods and vertical fence rods assembly so that the products can be re-assembled on sites. These products can be packaged before shipment before assembly in order to reduce the packing and transport dimension and significantly reduce the overall packing and transportation cost. At the same time, the surface treatment of plating or powder painting of the linking rods and fence also could be simplified and hence have better re-use value.

However, such kind of DIY fence structure design is using the assembly of linking rods and vertical fence rods but mainly make use of insertion slots or grooves reserved for insertion or inset of vertical fence rods and locked with bolts. This kind of assembly method is quite time consuming as a whole due to the interlocking operation at each overlapping intersection of linking rods and vertical fence rods. Also, the relationship of the two must be adjusted when performing the interlocking operation as there is no suitable method to fix the positions of linking rods and vertical fence rods before interlocking. This has increased the complexity in assembly operation and inconvenience and is the major flaw that requires improvement in the implementation.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the problems encountered in the assembly of conventional DIY fence structure, the inventor conducted investigation and attempted to improve based on many years of experience in related industry and invented the DIY fence structure of this invention. The main purpose is to enable a simpler implementation in the assembly of linking rods and vertical fence rods that could drastically reduce the time required in the assembly and achieve better quality in work.

Another objective of the present invention is in the fast relationship in positioning in the assembly of linking rods and vertical fence rods through the structural design so that the repetitive adjustment of relative relationship is not required and the difficulty in assembly could be drastically reduced and the convenience of fast assembly could be achieved.

Still another objective of this invention is in the structural design by making use of the connector design at the two ends of the linking rods so that after completion of the overall assembly the linking rods of each fence unit could be maintained at the same horizontal level and the overall aesthetical shape could be achieved.

Still another objective of this invention is, through the structural design, to provide a kind of DIY fence structure that could be performed by consumer wherein the consumer could dismantle any part for local modification of the design or for maintenance.

To achieve the above stated objectives, the structural design of this invention is mainly in the linking rod of the fence as binding design by using the reserved framing for vertical fence rod slotting set with the matching of vertical fence rod with the reserved expanding section of the corresponding portion, such that the set of vertical fence rod and linking rod could achieve the convenience of fast assembly in order for the size of the product can be reduced before shipment and transportation and achieve the convenience in fast assembly and positioning. And in the actual use, only the clamping lock is required to set up for fast completion of the assembly of fence unit and through the two ends of the linking rod and the slotting of connectors for binding to complete the whole construction of the DIY fence.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Regarding the constituent structure, technology means, and attainment of performance for of this invention, as few more examples are given with concrete description as shown below:

Please refer to the illustration of the structures in FIGS. 1, 2, and 8, exploded illustration of the structures in FIGS. 3 and 4, the illustration of the structural relationship in FIGS. 5 and 6, and the reference diagram of the state of implementation in FIG. 7. As shown in these diagrams, which are the preferred embodiment of this invention, the DIY fence consists of several fence units and several standing poles erected beforehand. Each fence unit mainly includes:

At least two linking rods (10), whereas each linking rod (10) is formed by two flat pieces (11)(12); the two flat pieces (11)(12) are installed with several slotting grooves (13)(14) according to the spacing described in the specs; slotting grooves (13)(14) provide the assembly for the vertical fence rod (20); between the two flat pieces (11)(12) are in addition installed with several pairs of bolt holes (15)(16) so that the bolts (17) could be locked to fix the two flat pieces (11)(12) and the assembly binds the relationship between vertical fence rods (20) and linking rods (10); and the two ends of the linking rod (10) could be locked with the slot of installed connector (30) in order to achieve the connection between linking rods (10) and pre-erected standing pole (40);

Several vertical fence rods (20) that can be simple straight rods or inverted U-shape standing poles, of which the specs of the rods and the slotting grooves (13)(14) of the two flat pieces (11)(12) of the linking rod (10) are combined are having same dimension; An expansion section (21) is installed in the reserved position of the vertical fence rod (20); the dimension of the expanding section (21) is greater than the width of the slotting grooves (13)(14) of the linking rod (10), and the length of the expanding section (21) matches with the inner height of the two flat pieces (11)(12) of the linking rod (10) , so that when the vertical rod (20) slotted into the slotting grooves (13)(14) portion of the linking rod (10) will secure proper limiting position and not slip off.

Several connectors (30), which is fixed onto the pre-erected standing pole (40) of the working position as the slotting interface of the pre-erected of the linking rod (10); the said connector (30) includes the framing portion (31) and the one extended side of which is designed with two clamping pieces (33)(34) in open shape; the corresponding two clamping pieces (33)(34) are installed with bolt holes (32) so that the two clamping pieces (33)(34) could be bound to the ends of the linking rod (10) and fixed with bolts (35), and together are tightened to the framing portion (31) and standing pole (40) to form the slotting set relationship, and for the framing portion (31) to offset to one side of the clamping pieces (33)(34) and forms an offset style, so that the framing portion (31) and the clamping pieces (33)(34) forms first order difference. The purpose of such design is in enabling the connectors in reverse positions so that the framing portion (31)(31′) of the top and bottom pieces of the connector (30)(30′) are complimentarily fixed together, which makes the two neighboring linking rods (10)(10′) is maintained at the same level position when the neighboring linking rods (10)(10′) are connected to the pre-erected standing pole (40).

Several standing poles (40) are pre-erected in the work site at reserved spacing according to the specs of fence unit. The type of the specs in general matches with the framing portion (31) of the connector (30) such that after connecting to the connector (30) set, can be jointly forced to fix the framing portion (31) to the slot of standing rod (40) by making use of the clamping set relationship of the bolts (35) locking the two clamping pieces (33)(34) of the connector (30) to the linking rods (10).

Based on this, through the constituents of above revealed structure and due to the linking rods (10) and the vertical fence rods (20) are using movable set, the assembly can be knocked down and shipped in reduced dimension and cost for packing and transportation. Meanwhile, the subsequent operation of surface treatment of plating or powder painting could have easier implementation and better quality. And in the assembling work, the vertical fence rods (20) only needs to be sequentially placed into the reserved slotting grooves (13)(14) of the two flat pieces (11)(12) of the linking rods (10) so that the expanding section (21) is slotted into the slotting grooves (13)(14) portion to secure the initial connecting position of the linking rods (10) and the vertical fence rods (20). And several bolts (17) are locked to fix the two flat pieces (11)(12) in assembled state to stably secure the assembly of linking rods (10) and vertical fence rods(20). As the assembly could be accomplished with only several pieces of bolts (17), it is not required to learn every overlapping position of the linking rod and vertical fence rod for interlocking. Hence, the efficiency of the whole assembly will be faster and timesaving. After such quick completion of assembling the fence unit, the connectors (30) and the pre-erected standing rods (40) are combined and subsequently using the two clamping pieces (33)(34) of the connector (30) to clamp the ends of the linking rod (10) and use the bolts (35) to fix the set to complete the whole assembly of fence unit and standing rod (40); with the offset type of design in the framing portion (31) of the connector (30), and the compliment of connectors (30)(30′) of adjacent fence unit to further keep the linking rod (10) of each fence unit maintain at the same horizontal manner so as to constitute the constructing assembly operation of the whole DIY unit;

In the structural design stated above, as the design of linking rods (10) and vertical fence rods (20) are still using movable parts, it is possible to achieve the advantage of reducing the dimension and cost of packing and transportation and also to meet the requirement of freely knocking down by consumer, partial design change, and maintenance, provide the best economic benefit and practical use in industrial application. And through the design of structural composition, the slotting positioning could be easily achieved through the matching of vertical fence rods (20) and linking rods (10), and only a few bolts (17) are required to secure the fixing of the assembly relation so as to make the assembly of fence unit simpler, quicker and more convenient; and assists with the design of connectors (30) at the two ends of the linking rods (10) so that after the connection of each fence unit and the pre-erected standing pole (40) assembly, it is possible to easily maintain the horizontal state of each linking rod (10) in effectively enhancing the aesthetic look of the whole assembly and hence achieve the best practical use and convenience in implementation;

In summary, the structural design of the DIY fence of this invention could be further simplified in the assembly work under the principle of maintaining the reduction of dimension and cost of packing and transportation so that the assembly of the whole unit can be more simplified, and convenient while maintaining the aesthetic shape of the whole unit and effectively resolve the many problems and flaws of similar traditional products. As a whole, it indeed has the best utilizing value and practical usage in the industry and is certainly an excellent and outstanding innovative design. We hereby apply for the application of patent.

Claims

1. A kind of structural DIY fence consists of several fence units and several pre-erected standing poles, where the fence unit mainly includes:

At least two linking rods, each of the linking rod consists of two flat pieces where the two pieces are designed with several slotting grooves facing each other at specified spacing; of which the said slotting grooves are for the assembly of separately designed vertical fence rod; several bolt holes are designed between the two flat pieces for interlocking the two flat pieces with bolts and form the assembly set of the vertical fence rods and linking rods; the two ends of the linking rods can be slotted with the connectors of the pre-erected standing poles at the work area into an assembly;
Several vertical fence rods, whereas the specs of the rods in general meet the combined size of the two flat pieces of the linking rods; the vertical location is designed as expansion section; the expansion section could obtain appropriate limiting position without slipping when the vertical fence rods are slotted into the slotting groove portion of the linking rods;
Based on this, as the vertical fence rods are sequentially placed into the slotting grooves designed into the two flat pieces of the linking rods during the implementing work the expansion rod sections are clicked into the slotting groove position of the initial combining section designed into the location of the linking rods and vertical fence rods. The several bolts are then locked to the combined state to quickly complete the assembly of the fence unit.

2. A kind of DIY fence constituent structure composed of several fence units and several pre-erected standing poles; the fence units consist of two linking rods and several vertical fence rods; the two ends of the linking rods are connected to the slots of the pre-erected connectors at the work site so as to complete the whole set of assembly; where:

the said several connectors mainly include framing portion and one side of which is designed with two extending clamps; the two clamps are designed with bolt holes facing each other and are fixed with bolts so as to accomplish the binding between connectors and standing poles; in addition, in the design of framing portion, the framing portion is offset to one side of the clamp and forms the offset style that enables a step difference between the framing portion and the clamps so as to match the connector at the two ends of the linking rods in opposite style assembly such that when the adjacent linking rods are assembled with standing poles the framing portion of the connectors of both are complimenting each other so that the two adjacent linking rods are maintained at the same level.

3. According to the constituent structure of the DIY fence stated in claim 1 of the claim of this patent, the size of the expanding section of the said vertical fence rod is larger than the width of the slot groove of the linking rod and the length of the expanding section is matching the inner height of the two flat pieces of the linking rods so that the vertical fence rod could be limited in the position without slipping when it is placed into the slotting groove of linking rod.

According to the constituent structure of the DIY fence stated in claim 2 of the claim of this patent, the specs of the pre-erected standing pole is in general matching with the size of the frame portion of the connector so that when the connector is slotted into position and fixed to linking rod through bolts, the connector could be fixed to the standing pole.

5. According to the constituent structure of the DIY fence stated in claim 1 of the claim of this patent, the said vertical fence rod is of a simple straight rod type.

6. According to the constituent structure of the DIY fence stated in claim 1 of the claim of this patent, the said vertical in general is a rod made into the inverted U-shape.
