Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a golf rod with adjustable weights, in which the rod has a plurality of penetrating embedding holes. At least one weight for adjusting the center of the gravitation is embedded into the embedding holes. Thereby, the center of gravitation can be adjusted easily and appear a beautiful outlook. The reactive shock in waving can be absorbed by the shock absorbing layer.

With the progress of human society and the growing of economics, golf sport has become a popular sport to most people. However, since golf is a skilled sport, a new player is hard to play it well. Thus, many people stop to play the sport only after playing through a short period of time since they can not be skilled in that art. This is a confinement for widely spreading the golf sport. The general difficult for the sportsman (or sportswoman) is to control the beating point. No everyone can play the ball like a professional sportsman (or sportswoman). To be skilled in beating the golf ball is hardly achieved in a short period of time. However, “to do a thing well with better tools” is a simple and important scope. A good golf rod must compensate this defect. To push a golf ball to a green is a key to a competition of golf. Therefore, the quality of a golf rod is critical. A good golf rod can adjust with a preferred center of gravitation according to the pose and habit of the sportswoman easily. However, currently, the center of gravitation is at the exact center of a golf rod. Therefore, a slight shift from the center will cause an optimum beating point to be lost so that the ball can not fly to an ideal area. Therefore, a rod head with adjustable center of gravitation is disclosed, such as that disclosed in Taiwan Patent Publication No. 359186 (see FIG. 1), in that structure, a groove 10 is formed on surface of the rod head 1. Inner the groove 10 is inlayed with a weight 11 by pressing. However, in this structure, the machining work is complex and difficult. If the center of gravitation of the rod head is changed, another mold is necessary to be manufactured for being formed with a rod head 1 with different groove 10. Therefore, the cost is high. Furthermore, due to confinement of technology, the shape of the weight 11 is simple and dull, has no variation and thus is not beautiful. In another Taiwan Patent Publication No. 338963 (see FIG. 2), the head rod 2 is adhered by sticky (or engraved) with pattern or trademark 20 for increasing the beauty of the outlook or generating an advertising effect. However, since the patterns or trademark are sticky to the head, it is apt to fall down, and thus is not practical. Moreover, since everyone has different pose and habit. Therefore, a slight shift from the center will cause an optimum beating point to be lost so that the ball can not fly to an ideal area. Since the force for weaving a golf rod instantaneously is large, and thus the reactive force is also large. This force will transfer to the hands of users. For a long time, sport-related injuries are formed. Therefore, the current rod head can not has the effect of adjusting the center of gravitation, beautiful outlook and shock reduction. Therefore, some inconvenience is induced to the user and is necessary to be improved.

Therefore, there is an eager demand for a novel shock reduction rod head with a lower center of gravitation, which can solve many problems induced in the prior art.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a golf rod with adjustable weights is disclosed. A surface of the frame has a plurality of penetrating embedding holes. At least one weight for adjusting the center of the gravitation is embedded into the embedding holes. The surface of the frame is filled with the shock absorbing material so as to enclose the whole frame and thus a shock absorbing layer is formed. A surface is necessary to be ground; and thus the shape of the weight exposes on the surface of the shock absorbing layer. The center of gravitation can be adjusted easily and the present invention has a beautiful outlook. The reactive shock in waving can be absorbed by the shock absorbing layer. And, the user's hands are avoided from being inflicted with injuries.

Ther various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when reading in conjunction with the appended drawing.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in the following with the appended figures.

With reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, in the present invention, a frame 3 is installed. The surface of the frame 3 has a plurality of penetrating embedding holes 30. Weights 31 for adjusting the center of the gravitation can be embedded into the embedding holes 30. The weight 31 may have any desired shape and patterns for, for example, trademark. The rear side of the weight 31 is installed with tenon 310. The surface of the frame 3 is filled with the shock absorbing material so as to enclose the whole frame 3 and thus a shock absorbing layer 32 (see FIG. 5) is formed. The thickness of the shock absorbing layer 32 (see FIG. 6) may be varied according to the shock absorbing material, and the thickness is ranged between 2.5 mm˜3.0 mm. Furthermore, the shock absorbing material is filled into the embedding holes 30 without weights 31. Moreover, the shock absorbing material 32 becomes more fastened to enclose the whole frame 3 and not be stripped therefrom easily.

In manufacturing, since the weights 31 are embedded into different position of the frame 3 (see FIG. 7), and the shape of weights 31 has any desired shape with beautiful patterns, for example, a trademark of the manufacturing company. The weight of the material thereof may be varied according to the center of gravitation, and the material may be aluminum, copper, tantalum, or other lightweight material. The thickness of the weight 31 is equal to that of the shock absorbing layer 3 (referring to FIG. 8). Therefore, the shock absorbing layer 32 is completely filled; the whole surface is necessary to be ground to be smooth. The shape of the weight 31 exposes on the surface of the shock absorbing layer 32 so as to be formed with a special three dimensional beautiful pattern. Not only the touch feeling is improved, but also the reactive shock as the rod is waved can be completely absorbed by the shock absorbing layer 32 so as to avoid that the hand of the waver is harmed due to the a reactive shocking force. The position of the center of gravitation can be determined from embedding the weights 31 into embedding holes as desired. Therefore, other weights 31 are unnecessary to be extra welded. As a consequent, rod heads with different center of gravitation are unnecessary. The manufacturing time and cost are saved. The center of gravitation can be adjusted as desired and the preferred beating area is enlarged.

Another embodiment of the present invention is illustrated in FIGS. 9 and 10, in which a frame 3 is designed to have various shapes. When an enclosing shock absorbing layer 32 is filled therein, it may be formed as a rod head with various shapes. Diverse rod heads may be formed by this way.

From above description, it is appreciated that the present invention has the following advantages:

    • 1. The weights can be embedded into different positions on the surface of the frame without needing to further weld or inlay weights therein. Therefore, the center of gravitation is adjusted easily and preferred beating area can be enlarged.
    • 2. The weight can be formed with diverse shapes and trademarks. After an enclosing shock absorbing layer is filled therein, the weights will expose out of the shock absorbing layer so as to appear different visual feeling.
    • 3. A shock absorbing material is filled into the frame. The frame can be enclosed with a solid shock absorbing layer with a strong shock absorbing ability. The reactive shock in waving can be absorbed by the shock absorbing layer. And, the user's hands are avoided to be inflicted with injuries in exercising.

The above described embodiments are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, as one skilled in the art can, in view of the present invention, expand such embodiments to correspond with the subject matter of the present invention claimed below. Therefore, all such substitutions and modifications are intended to be embraced within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
