Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the invention

The present invention relates to a clamp structure for a garment hanger, and more particularly to a structure having two engaging portions on a left and a right end of a connecting piece engaged with two positioning portions of a first clamping piece to fix the connecting piece on an inner side of the first clamping portion, and to clamp tight a garment in cooperation with a second clamping piece. The clamp structure is applicable to clamping woven fabrics such as pants or towels etc.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Garment hangers sold in the markets presently mainly include the following kinds: 1. those for supporting the inner sides of the shoulders of a garment on two ends of each suit hanger, in order to keep the garment flat and smooth; 2. those being provided with clamping members at two ends of each garment hanger to clamp and support pants or towels; and 3. those having both the functions of the above two kinds of garment hangers. Those garment hangers being provided with clamping members have the clamping members each with a front and a rear clamping portion for clamping. Either end of the front or the rear clamping portions is provided with a fixed clamping piece. By friction resistance of the fixed clamping piece, the garment hanger keeps pants or towels from loosening and dropping.

The above stated design is having the clamping pieces fixed completely at finishing of production; it does not have any flexibility for allowing change. In order to make improvement on the defect, please refer to FIG. 5 shown a U.S. Pat. No. 6,609,640, it offers more choices for users. The U.S. Pat. No. 6,609,640 mainly is provided with a clamping portion “a” and a clamping piece “b”; the clamping piece “b” has on its rear end an engaging portion “c”, and the clamping portion “a” has thereon a hole “d” which allows piercing of the engaging portion “c” therethrough to make connection of the clamping piece “b” with the clamping portion “a”. The above stated structure can achieve the expected objective, however, the tailing end of the engaging portion “c” is larger than the hole “d” on the clamping portion “a”, a larger press force is necessary in combination in order to complete connection after the engaging portion “c” passes through the hole “d”. With this structure while in a mass production, time and work is needed more. Further, in changing the clamping piece “b”, a larger force in a contrary direction must be exerted to retract the engaging portion “c”, this is not easy in operation, and the engaging portion “c” might be broken.

In view of these, for achieving an objective of flexibly changing a connecting piece and providing a more force-saving assembling structure, the inventor provides the present invention based on his professional experience of years and nonstop studying and developing.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a clamp structure for a garment hanger, with an engaging structure formed on a connecting piece and a first clamping piece, the connecting piece can be fixed on an inner side of the first clamping portion, in order that the connecting piece can be assembled in a flexible mode to have different clamping forces for clamping woven fabrics such as pants or towels etc.

The secondary objective of the present invention is to provide a clamp structure for a garment hanger, with positioning structures provided on a left and a right end of the first clamping piece, a left and a right engaging portion of the connecting piece can be mutually connected in a force-saving hooking mode (to hook inwards from outside) and loosened, this can save the cost of assembling.

To achieve the stated objectives, a pair of clamp structures for the garment hanger of the present invention are provided respectively on two ends of the garment hanger, and each comprises a first and a second clamping piece able to rotate coaxially to clamp tight garments. The main technique of the present invention resides in that: the first clamping piece has a clamping portion with positioning portions on the left and the right ends thereof, the first clamping piece further has a connecting piece with a left and a right engaging portion for respectively engaging the two positioning portions, in order that the connecting piece is fixed on the inner side of the first clamping portion; thereby changing of the connecting piece can be performed in a force-saving and flexible mode, and can have different clamping forces after assembling for supporting woven fabrics such as pants or towels etc.

The present invention will be apparent after reading the detailed description of the preferred embodiment thereof in reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded view showing the elements of a preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the appearance of a connecting piece and a first clamping piece of the preferred embodiment of the present invention in assembling;

FIG. 3 is a sectional view taken from a section line A-A′ of FIG. 1;

FIG. 4 is a side view showing use of the preferred embodiment of the present invention on a garment hanger;

FIG. 5 is sectional view showing assembling of a conventional clamp structure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 1, clamp structures 1 for a garment hanger 9 of the present invention are provided respectively on two ends of the garment hanger 9, and each comprises a first and a second clamping piece 2, 3 provided respectively on their upper ends with pressing portions 21, 31, and on their lower ends with clamping portions 22, 32. The first clamping piece 2 is provided on its inner side with a transversely extending rod-like protruding portion 23, while the second clamping piece 3 is provided on its inner side with a transversely extending elongate recessed portion 33 to receive therein the protruding portion 23 of the first clamping piece 2. And the first and the second clamping pieces 2, 3 are clamped with a U shaped elastic sheet 4. When a user exerts opposite forces to press the pressing portions 21, 31 of the first and the second clamping pieces 2, 3, the first and the second clamping pieces 2, 3 can be rotated coaxially to clamp tight garments.

The clamping portion 22 of the first clamping piece 2 is provided on its inner side with a recess 24, and the clamping portion 22 is provided respectively on the left and the right ends thereof with engaging recesses 25 functioning as positioning portions; the first clamping piece 2 further has a connecting piece 5 with a left and a right engaging portion 53 protruding outwards to form a “T” shape each and containing an elastic portion 51 and a stop portion 52 each.

Referring to FIGS. 2-4, when the connecting piece 5 is connected with the first clamping piece 2, the recess 24 on the inner side of the clamping portion 22 of the first clamping piece 2 allows placing of the connecting piece 5 therein, thus the connecting piece 5 is limited to a fixed position; the two elastic portions 51 on the two ends of the connecting piece 5 are engaged in the two engaging recesses 25 on the left and the right ends of the clamping portion 22 inwards from outside, and by stopping of the stop portions 52 which are respectively positioned on the outer surfaces of the clamping portion 22, the connecting piece 5 is fixed on the inner side of the clamping portion 22. And when the stop portions 52 are moved outwards, the elastic portions 51 can be gotten rid of the limitation of the engaging recesses 25, and thereby the connecting piece 5 is separated from the first clamping piece 2.

Therefore, the present invention has the following advantages:

1. The present invention can be assembled in pursuance of various usages in fabrication with any of different connecting piece with different clamping forces; and can allow a user to change it easily.

2. In the present invention, by hooking inwards of the left and the right engaging portions from outside on the positioning portions of a clamping portion on the first clamping piece, not only the connecting piece can be connected or released in a force-saving hooking mode with or from the first clamping piece, but the cost of assembling can be saved.

In conclusion, according to the description disclosed above, the present invention surely can achieve the expected objectives thereof to provide a clamp structure for a garment hanger that can have the connecting piece flexibly changed.
