Strapless self-adhesive bra

A self-adhesive strapless bra that is “invisible”, amenable to easy wear and repeated use, includes two cups connected to each other and two outer extension pieces each extending from the outer side of a respective cup and comprising a base layer made of see-through or translucent TPU (i.e., thermoplastic polyurethane, an adhesive layer allowing repeated use coated on the inner side of the base layer with an adhesive free area reserved along the edge of the base layer, and a stripper attached to the adhesive layer, which stripper can be peeled off when the bra is in use to allow the extension piece to be adhered to the armpit.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to a bra of self-adhesive system, and more particularly, to one that is strapless, invisible and amenable to repeated adhesion.

(b) Description of the Prior Art:

The conventional bra is comprised of two cups connected to each other and provided with or without a pair of straps. Recently a strapless, “invisible” silica gel bra was introduced into the market by appealing to advantages of direct attachment to the breasts without shoulder or back straps. Moreover, this type of bra feels soft and lifelike to wear. However, the bra is entirely made of silica gel, which prevents natural excretion of sweats and thus hurts the breast skin of the user.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a strapless self-adhesive bra to allow easy wear, repeated use, and simple manufacturing process. To achieve the purpose, an extension piece is attached to the outer side of the cup and the extension piece is to be adhered to the armpit upon wearing the bra. The inner side of each extension piece is coated with an adhesive layer that allows repeated adhesion and separation without hurting one's skin. The extension piece is made of a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material. When not in use, the adhesive layer is attached to a stripper, whereas when in use the stripper is removed to allow the extension piece to be adhered to the armpit to wear the bra.

Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a strapless self-adhesive bra to allow easy commencement of use. To achieve the purpose, along the edge of the inner side of the extension piece is reserved an adhesive free area, which constantly stays clear away from the stripper for fast removal of the stripper when the user desires to wear the bra.

Another purpose yet of the present invention is to provide a strapless self-adhesive bra to provide better “invisible” appearance when put on. To achieve the purpose, both extension pieces are made of see-through or translucent TPU material.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a pair of cups 1 connected to each other and an extension piece provided to the outer side of each cup 1. The pair of the cups 1 constitutes the principal portion of the bra and is similar to that of the prior art and can be made of any material as applicable. The extension piece comprises a base layer 2, an adhesive layer 3 coated on the inner side of the base layer 2, and a stripper 4 stuck over the adhesive layer 3. The base layer 2 is made of a thermoplastic TPU material and stitched, or by other applicable means, to the outer side of the cup 1 with a proper length and coverage. The adhesive layer 3 allows repeated separation and adhesion to the skin without hurting the skin. When the bra is not in use, the adhesive layer 3 is protected by the stripper 4 as illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4. An adhesive free area 21 may be reserved along the edge on the inner side of the base layer 2 of the extension piece to constantly stay away from the stripper 4 as illustrated in FIG. 2 to permit easy removal of the stripper 4 from the adhesive layer 3 so that each extension piece may be adhered, through the adhesive layer 3, to the armpit of the user wearing the bra as illustrated in FIG. 5.

The area of the adhesive layer 3 is smaller than that of the base layer 2 to permit the reservation of the adhesive free area 21. By taking advantage of the adhesive free area 21 always staying away from the stripper 4, which is stuck to the adhesive layer 3 when the bra is not in use, the stripper 4 can be easily removed when the user desires to wear the bra.

The adhesive layer 3 is made of toxin free silica gel that allows repeated adhesion and separation as found in the prior art. Therefore, no further detailed description will be given herein.

The base layer 2 of the extension piece is made of TPU, a totally toxin-free, environmentally friendly material. TPU relates to a high-density elastomer known for its excellent performance in terms of friction withstanding, pull strength, low temperature resistance and being free of cracks, and thus is perfect to be used for manufacturing the base layer 2 of the extension piece of the present invention. Furthermore, see-through or translucent TPU material is used to provide better “invisible” appearance.

Claims

1. A self-adhesive strapless bra comprising:

two cups, each having an outer side and an inner side, wherein the inner sides of the two cups are connected to each other; and
two extension pieces, each extension piece extending from the outer side of a respective one of the two cups and comprising a base layer made of a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material, the base layer having an outer side and an inner side, an adhesive layer coated on the inner side of the base layer, and a stripper stuck over the adhesive layer, wherein the stripper can be removed from the adhesive layer to allow each extension piece to be adhered, through the adhesive layer, to the armpit of one who wears the self-adhesive strapless bra.

2. The self-adhesive strapless bra of claim 1, wherein an adhesive free area is reserved along an outer edge of the inner side of the base layer of each extension piece to keep the area locally separated from the stripper.

3. The self-adhesive strapless bra of claim 1, wherein each extension piece is stitched to the outer side of the respective cup.

4. The self-adhesive strapless bra of claim 1, wherein the base layer of each extension piece is made of see-through or translucent TPU.

5. The self-adhesive strapless bra of claim 1, wherein the adhesive layer of each extension piece is made of a toxin free silica gel.

6. The self-adhesive strapless bra of claim 5, wherein the base layer of each extension piece is made of see-through or translucent TPU.

7. The self-adhesive strapless bra of claim 2, wherein the base layer of each extension piece is made of see-through or translucent TPU and the adhesive layer of each extension piece is made of a toxin free silica gel.
