Face down attachment for lounge chair
A face down attachment for chaise lounge chairs replaces several existing slats on the chairs, which are removed. The attachment is affixed to the chair rails in place of the slats with clips, for example. The attachment has a face hole, a padded face support and a covering sheet, which closes the face hole when use of the hole is not desired.
Applicants claim priority of US Provisional Patent Application 60/671,560, filed Apr. 15, 2005.
FIELD OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention is a face down attachment for chaise lounge chairs. The attachment replaces several existing slats on the chairs, which are removed. The attachment is affixed to the chair rails in place of the slats with clips, for example. The attachment has a face hole, a padded face support and a covering sheet, which closes the face hole when use of the hole is not desired.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION AND DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART The present invention is an attachment for a slat type chaise lounge chair having an aperture therein to receive a person's face with soft supports surrounding the aperture to support the face and a cover attached in proximity to the aperture to close same to permit closing of the face support. The attachment will be substituted for existing slats in the lounge chair by removing same. The attachment has extended end portions for attaching it to the chair rails with clips. Prior art related devices are described below.

Claims
1. A face down attachment for chaise lounge chairs comprising: a plurality of slats attached together; a face hole formed centrally in said slats; a padded face support attached to said slats surrounding a portion of said face hole; a cover sheet attached to said slats for removeably covering said face hole; and attachment means connected to said slats for attaching said slats to the rails of a chaise lounge chair.
2. The face down attachment of claim 1 wherein said attachment means are at least two clips.
3. The face down attachment of claim 1 wherein said attachment means includes bent end portions of at least two of said slats.
4. An attachment for a slat type chaise lounge chair: a plurality of slats attached together; an aperture therein to receive a person's face; soft supports surrounding said aperture to support the face; a cover attached in proximity to the aperture to close same to permit closing of the aperture when not in use; at least two of said slats having extended end portions; clip means for attaching said end portions to said chair rails; the attachment being be substituted for existing slats in said lounge chair by removing same.
5. A face down attachment for slat type chaise lounge chairs comprising: a plurality of slats attached together; a face hole formed centrally in said slats; and attachment means connected to said slats for attaching said slats to the rails of said chaise lounge chair, said attachment being substituted for existing slats in said chaise lounge chair by removing same.
