The present invention discloses a body piercing accessory having a bearing that includes a piercing shaft, an accessory body connected to one end of the piercing shaft, and a nut fixing cap disposed at the other end of the piercing shaft, wherein the accessory body has a fixed ornamental assembly and a rotating ornamental assembly that are connected to each other, the accessory body being connected to the piercing shaft, the fixed ornamental assembly having a plurality of jewel members each having a mounting and closely adjoined to one another to have a predetermined shape, a separating plate placed at the center of the plurality of jewel members, for separating a predetermined distance from the rotating ornamental assembly, and a connecting pin protrudingly formed at the middle portion of the separating plate for connecting the fixed ornamental assembly with the rotating ornamental assembly and the piercing shaft.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a body piercing accessory designed for use in a piercing or puncture made in a part of a person's body by a hollow gauge steel jewelry, and more particularly, to a body piercing accessory for use in navels in which an accessory body has a fixed ornamental assembly and a rotating ornamental assembly connected to each other, the accessory body being connected to a piercing shaft by means of a connecting pin, and a bearing is mounted in the rotating ornamental assembly to rotate the rotating ornamental assembly.

2. Background of the Related Art

Generally, a body accessory has been widely used for ornamenting people bodies for thousands of years to show their superiority over other people through their own distinction from them or for the purpose of incantation. In recent days, however, a body piercing accessory is increasingly designed for general ornaments that people wear for their fashion by piercing their ears, lips, navels or other parts. In some cases, the body piercing accessory is used together with tattoo in the pierced areas of the wearer's body.

Referring now to the example of a conventional body piercing accessory, the body piercing accessory include a piercing shaft, a bolt tap and a nut fixing cap that are provided at one side of the piercing shaft in such a manner as to be detachably mounted, for fixing the piercing shaft that penetrates a wearer's body and protrudes outwardly from the skin, and an ornamental assembly that is provided at the other side of the piercing shaft. In this structure of the conventional body piercing accessory, the piercing shaft is integrally formed with the ornamental assembly, and the ornamental assembly has a movable ornamental loop in the middle portion thereof, for providing predetermined degrees of movement and reflection of the jewel piece attached on the ornamental loop.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an example of a conventional body piercing accessory. As described above, a piercing shaft 1 is formed integrally with an accessory body 3 having an ornamental loop 4 placed in the middle portion thereof. However, the conventional body piercing accessory has the ornamental loop 4 swung in just forward and backward movements and has a generally flat design in very simple structure. This does not allow the wearer to meet his or her other needs with the body piercing accessory with respect to his or her mood or preference. To satisfy the wearer's mood or preference, accordingly, he or she has to prepare various shapes of body piercing accessory items, which of course makes him or her consume lots of money for purchasing them.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the present inventor has been made to solve the above-described problems occurring in the prior art, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a body piercing accessory having an ornamental assembly that is operated rotatably by a bearing, while swung in lots of degrees of movements.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a body piercing accessory having an ornamental assembly that is operated rotatably by a bearing, while swung in pendulum motions in relatively stable and constant manners, giving high degrees of reflection and twinkling of the jewel members.

To accomplish the above objects, according to the present invention, there is provided a body piercing accessory having a bearing that includes a piercing shaft, an accessory body connected to one end of the piercing shaft, and a nut fixing cap disposed at the other end of the piercing shaft, wherein the accessory body has a fixed ornamental assembly and a rotating ornamental assembly that are connected to each other, the accessory body being connected to the piercing shaft, the fixed ornamental assembly having a plurality of jewel members each having a mounting and closely adjoined to one another to have a predetermined shape, a separating plate placed at the center of the plurality of jewel members, for separating a predetermined distance from the rotating ornamental assembly, and a connecting pin protrudingly formed at the middle portion of the separating plate for connecting the fixed ornamental assembly with the rotating ornamental assembly and the piercing shaft.

Preferably, the rotating ornamental assembly may include a generally round or oval ring disposed to be separated by a predetermined distance from a back side of the fixed ornamental assembly and a plurality of jewel members each having a mounting and closely adjoined along the outer peripheral surface of the ring, and the bearing is fixedly mounted by means of an attachment piece protruded from each of both sides of a mounting containing the bearing, and has a punched hole formed in the middle portion thereof, for connecting with the fixed ornamental assembly.

Also preferably, the connecting pin may be adapted to pass through the bearing of the rotating ornamental assembly and a longitudinal hole formed in a lower portion of the piercing shaft, and an elongated slit formed at a lower side of the piercing shaft to communicate with the longitudinal hole, for connecting the fixed ornamental assembly, the rotating ornamental assembly, and the piercing shaft.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Now, an explanation on the preferred embodiments of the present invention will be in detail given with reference to the attached drawings.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a body piercing accessory having a bearing according to the present invention.

As shown in FIG. 2, a body piercing accessory having a bearing according to the present invention includes a piercing shaft 1, an accessory body 3 connected to one end the piercing shaft 1, and a nut fixing cap 2 disposed at the other side of the piercing shaft 1, wherein the accessory body 3 is provided with a fixed ornamental assembly 31 that is fixed at the front side thereof and a rotating ornamental assembly 32 that is disposed at the back side of the fixed ornamental assembly 31, spaced by a predetermined distance from the fixed ornamental assembly 31.

At this time, the fixed ornamental assembly 31 is coupled with the rotating ornamental assembly 32 by means of a connecting pin 311 (see FIG. 3), and the rotating ornamental assembly 32 is separated from the fixed ornamental assembly 31 by means of a separating plate 310 (see FIG. 3).

Now, an explanation of a structure for the body piercing accessory having the bearing according to the present invention will be given in detail with respect to FIGS. 3 and 4.

The accessory body 3 includes the fixed ornamental assembly 31 and the rotating ornamental assembly 32 that are connected with the piercing shaft 1 by means of the connecting pin 311. The fixed ornamental assembly 31 has a plurality of jewel members 313 each having a mounting and closely adjoined to one another to have a predetermined shape, and the separating plate 310 placed at the center of the plurality of jewel members 313, for separating from the rotating ornamental assembly 32.

Further, the connecting pin 311 is protrudingly formed at the middle portion of the separating plate 310, for connecting the fixed ornamental assembly 31 with the rotating ornamental assembly 31 and the piercing shaft 1.

The connecting pin 311 has two vertically cut pieces 312 formed at an end thereof in such a manner as to be extended to the both outsides thereof.

The rotating ornamental assembly 32 includes a generally round or oval ring 320 disposed to be separated by a predetermined distance from a back side of the fixed ornamental assembly 31 and a plurality of jewel members 313 each having a mounting and closely adjoined along the outer peripheral surface of the ring 320. The bearing 33 is fixedly mounted by means of an attachment piece 330 protruded from each of both sides of a mounting 332 containing the bearing 33, to a predetermined position where the connecting pin 311 is passed on the inner peripheral surface of the ring 320.

The bearing 33 has a punched hole 331 formed in the middle portion thereof, for connecting with the fixed ornamental assembly 31.

The piercing shaft 1 is provided with a bolt tap 11 and a nut fixing cap 2 that are formed at one end thereof and with a longitudinal hole 12 formed at the other end thereof through which the connecting pin 311 is passed and an elongated slit 120 formed at a lower side thereof to communicate with the longitudinal hole 12. The connecting pin 311 is adapted to pass through the bearing 33 in the rotating ornamental assembly 32 and the longitudinal hole 12 of the piercing shaft 1, in such a manner as to be fixed into the elongated slit 120 formed at the lower side of the piercing shaft 1 to communicate with the longitudinal hole 12, for connecting the fixed ornamental assembly 31, the rotating ornamental assembly 32, and the piercing shaft 1.

At this time, the connecting pin 311 is passed through the bearing 33 and the longitudinal hole 12 of the piercing shaft 1 and is then secured to the elongated slit 120 by means of the vertically cut pieces 312 extended to the both outsides thereof at the end thereof.

FIG. 5 is an exemplary view showing an operational process of the body piercing accessory of the present invention.

Under the above-mentioned construction, now, an explanation of the operation process of the body piercing accessory of the present invention is hereinafter given.

The accessory body 3 is assembled by connecting the separating plate 310 of the fixed ornamental assembly 31, the bearing 33 in the rotating ornamental assembly 32 and the longitudinal hole 12 of the piercing shaft 1, by means of the connecting pin 311, in such a manner as to be fixed into the elongated slit 120. Then, the body piercing accessory is worn in a pierced area of a wearer's body.

In this case, the fixed ornamental assembly 31 and the piercing shaft 1 are disposed in such a manner as to be in close contact with the pierced area of the wearer's body, and as the wearer moves, the rotating ornamental assembly 32 is rotated by means of the connecting pin 311 and the bearing 33 in the direction of ‘A’ and the direction opposite to the direction ‘A’ with respect to the fixed ornamental assembly 31.

Under the above-mentioned structure of the body piercing accessory of the present invention, as the rotating ornamental assembly is rotated, the plurality of jewel members are swung in every direction thus to make the body piercing accessory look more beautiful and shining.

FIG. 6 is an exemplary view showing a body piercing accessory having another type of bearing according to the present invention. In this case, the rotating ornamental assembly 32 has a relatively large radius, and while rotating, the motion is restricted by the nut fixing cap 2. Thus, the body piercing accessory of the present invention has such the pendulum motion in the direction of arrow as shown in FIG. 6.

As set forth in the foregoing, there is provided a body piercing accessory having a bearing according to the present invention includes a rotating ornamental assembly that is operated rotatably by the bearing, when compared with the conventional ones that are generally fixed, such that high degrees of reflection and twinkling of the jewel members can be achieved.

While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.

Claims

1. A body piercing accessory having a bearing that includes a piercing shaft, an accessory body connected to one end of the piercing shaft, and a nut fixing cap disposed at the other end of the piercing shaft,

wherein the accessory body has a fixed ornamental assembly and a rotating ornamental assembly that are connected to each other, the accessory body being connected to the piercing shaft, the fixed ornamental assembly having a plurality of jewel members each having a mounting and closely adjoined to one another to have a predetermined shape, a separating plate placed at the center of the plurality of jewel members, for separating a predetermined distance from the rotating ornamental assembly, and a connecting pin protrudingly formed at the middle portion of the separating plate for connecting the fixed ornamental assembly with the rotating ornamental assembly and the piercing shaft.

The body piercing accessory as claimed in claim 1, wherein the rotating ornamental assembly includes a generally round or oval ring disposed to be separated by a predetermined distance from a back side of the fixed ornamental assembly and a plurality of jewel members each having a mounting and closely adjoined along the outer peripheral surface of the ring, and the bearing is fixedly mounted by means of an attachment piece protruded from each of both sides of a mounting containing the bearing, and has a punched hole formed in the middle portion thereof, for connecting with the fixed ornamental assembly.

The body piercing accessory as claimed in claim 1, wherein the connecting pin is adapted to pass through the bearing of the rotating ornamental assembly and a longitudinal hole formed in a lower portion of the piercing shaft, and an elongated slit formed at a lower side of the piercing shaft to communicate with the longitudinal hole, for connecting the fixed ornamental assembly, the rotating ornamental assembly, and the piercing shaft.

4. The body piercing accessory as claimed in claim 3, wherein the connecting pin has two vertically cut pieces formed at an end thereof in such a manner as to be extended to the both outsides thereof.
