Description
BACKGROUND

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a novel apparatus for holding and storing spare rolls of toilet tissue. With various mounting options, the apparatus may be used for residential or commercial applications and, more particularly, pertains to a portable or stationary toilet paper storage container for holding rolls of toilet paper. The storage of a wide variety of lavatory and bathroom items and products for cleaning, deodorizing, polishing, scrubbing, and sanitizing the fixtures, surfaces, walls, and rooms of residential dwellings presents problems of storage space, access, availability, hygiene, and safety. In many modern homes, the enclosed storage space beneath the bathroom sink is unable to hold all of a dwellings' bathroom, laundry, and general cleaning products in a convenient, hygienic, and safe manner. Over the toilet racks and shelves have been utilized for storing towels, soap, toilet paper, and the like. Hallway closets and shelving must also be utilized for additional storage space. Moreover, it is quite common that shelving and pantry space in the kitchen, basement, and garage is also utilized.

The storage of bathroom and lavatory items and products is usually not haphazard since some items and products may be used on a daily basis, and therefore must be readily accessible in a convenient location. One such item that is used on a daily basis and must be readily accessible is toilet paper. There isn't a generally consistent place for storing additional rolls of toilet paper and storage locations can include bathroom closets, hallway closets, underneath the bathroom sink, and on shelves and cabinets. Yet the additional toilet paper rolls must be stored in such a manner that makes them convenient and accessible when needed, yet protected from getting wet from normal bathroom use and from any accidental sprays or overflows from the bathroom sink, toilet bowl, bathtub or shower. Thus, there is a need for a convenient and protective way to store additional toilet paper rolls and other bathroom items.

An additional object is to provide an extra roll caddy for toilet paper and the like that is versatile, adjustable and adaptable to various types of existing bathrooms, whether they are residential or commercial in nature.

Another object is to provide an extra roll caddy for toilet paper and the like that can be installed adjacent to an existing fixed toilet paper holder for the purpose of supplying a second or spare roll of toilet paper thereto. To the accomplishment of the above and related objects, this invention may be embodied in the form illustrated in the accompanying drawings, attention being called to the fact, however, that the drawings are illustrative only and that changes may be made in the specific construction illustrated and described within the scope of the specification.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of one embodiment of the apparatus comprising a hanger attachment means (1).

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of one embodiment of the apparatus comprising a wall mount attachment means (4 and 5).

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the apparatus comprising a drawstring at the lower end and a semi-trans parent material cover enclosing four (4) spare toilet paper rolls.

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of one embodiment of the apparatus comprised of an elastic closure at the lower end.

DESCRIPTION

As shown in FIGS. 1 through 4, a toilet paper storage apparatus embodied in the present invention is comprised of a means for attaching the apparatus to a door, toilet tank, or wall (1, 4, and 5). The toilet paper storage apparatus further comprises an upper and a lower end. A rigid ring 2 is positioned adjacent to and is attached to said means for attaching said apparatus to a door, toilet tank, or wall (1, 4, and 5). The rigid ring 2 further comprising a pliable printable material cover 6, said material cover 6 comprising a cylindrical sleeve having at least one open end, the pliable printable material cover enclosing the ring therein. The at least one open end including an upper open end selectively openable for providing direct access to the toilet paper rolls while the material cover remains about the cylinder and closeable at the lower end for concealing the toilet paper rolls within the printable material cover.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the means for attaching said apparatus comprises a hook or a hanger 1. Alternatively, a surface mount comprised of holes 5 for mounting with screw, bolts, and the like, or an adhesive backing 4 may be used to attach the toilet paper storage apparatus to a surface such as, for example, a wall.

The material cover 6 comprises an upper end for depositing the toilet paper rolls into the apparatus. The material cover 6 further comprises a lower end for preventing the rolls of toilet paper from slipping out of the lower end of the material cover 6. The lower end further includes at least one elasticized or drawstring area 3 extending circumferentially about the material cover at the lower end for preventing the rolls of toilet paper from slipping out of the lower end of the toilet paper storage apparatus.

In embodiments, the material cover of the toilet paper storage apparatus may be transparent, partially transparent, as illustrated in FIG. 3, or opaque. Further, the material covers may be interchanged to fit the mood of the owner, or to blend in with the bathroom decor. Still the further, the length of the material cover may be varied to accommodate more or fewer rolls of toilet paper. In one embodiment the apparatus accommodates from about 1 to about 12 rolls of toilet paper. In a specific embodiment, the apparatus accommodates from about 2 to about 6 rolls of toilet paper.

While the present invention has been described in conjunction with specific embodiments set forth, many alternatives, modifications and variations are intended to fall within the spirit and scope of the present invention.
