Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a mouse charger cradle which features collection of wire and more specifically to a mouse charger cradle wherein the power cord is wound into a trench.

2. Description of Related Art

A conventional mouse is a wired mouse, which includes a mouse body and a link cable. The link cable connects to the mouse body at one end, and to a computer host at the other end. Motions of users are frequently limited by the cable stretch when the mouse is moved on a table. Consequently, a cordless mouse and a receiving device that receives cordless signals from the cordless mouse are developed. The receiving device is placed on a table and has a link cable connecting to a computer host. Once the cordless mouse is being operated on the table, the receiving device picks up the cordless signals emitted by the cordless mouse and sends the signals to the computer host via the link cable.

In addition, since the cordless mouse does not have a link cable itself, it has to be equipped with a built-in battery to energize the transmission of the cordless signals. To recharge the built-in battery in the cordless mouse, a charging housing, prepared for accommodating the cordless mouse, integrates a recharging feature to form a cordless charger cradle.

Referring to FIG. 1, a prior-art cordless mouse charger cradle includes a body 71, a power cord 75, and an electrical connector 76. The body 71 is shaped into a charging compartment 73, which holds a pair of junctions 72, and is used to accommodate a mouse 74. One end of power cord 75 connects to the body 71, and the other end of power cord 75 connects to the electrical connector 76.

The conventional cordless mouse charger cradle has no place to wind up the power cord 75 and conceal the electrical connector 76 after using, which is a nuisance and inconvenience to the users.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main purpose of the present invention is to provide a mouse charger cradle with wire-winding function, wherein a power cord is wound into a trench and an electrical connector is concealed in a holding compartment of the charger cradle for the realization of wire collection and concealment.

To achieve aforementioned goals, the present invention offers a mouse charger cradle with wire-winding function, which is comprised of the following elements. A charger cradle includes a case with a charging compartment formed in top thereof, a trench in a side thereof, and a holding compartment in a base thereof. A circuit unit is located inside the cradle. A power cord electrically connects to the circuit unit. An electrical connector electrically connects to the power cord. The power cord is wound into the trench while the electrical connector is concealed in the holding compartment.

To better understand the adopted techniques, means, and functions to achieve the predestined goals of the present invention, reference is now made to the following detailed description with the accompanying drawings. A recognizing of the goals, characteristics, and advantages of the present invention will facilitate a comprehensive and cogent understanding; however, the accompanying drawings are provided only for reference and description, and are not to be construed as a limit on the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to FIGS. 2 to 6, the present invention offers a mouse charger cradle with wire-winding function, comprising a charger cradle 1, a circuit unit 2, a power cord 3, and an electrical connector 4. The charger cradle 1 possesses a case 11 shaped as an oval or other form, and has a charging compartment 12 in a top thereof for accommodating a mouse. The charging compartment 12 has an oblong or other shape to allow the mouse to be either deposited down or slid into the charging compartment 12 for recharging. The charging compartment 12 has several heat holes 121 in an inner end thereof, and a directional pointer 122 near its entry side to indicate the directions of entrance and exit while handling the mouse with the charging compartment 12. The charging compartment 12 holds junctions 123 electrically joining the circuit unit 2 as well as clip components 124 on both the left and right sides to fix the mouse in the charging compartment 12. There is an indicator light 15 on top of the case 11.

The case 11 of the charger cradle 1 has a trench 13 around for wire-winding to lodge the power cord 3. The trench 13 can be shaped in a single loop or a spiral, to allow the power cord 3 to be wound into a single loop trench 13 for the wire-winding purpose; or to allow the power cord 3 to be spiraled into a spiral trench 13 for the same purpose. The case 11 possesses a holding compartment 14 in a base thereof to hold the electrical connector 4. The holding compartment 14 holds clinch components 141, which help to fasten the electrical connector 4 to the holding compartment 14. The size of the holding compartment 14 is about that of the electrical connector 4, which signifies the capacity of the holding compartment 14 being devised to perfectly match the electrical connector 4. One end of holding compartment 14 is stretched into a narrow trench 142, to accommodate the part of the power cord 3 down the case 11. The width of the narrow trench 142 matches or covers the diameter of the power cord 3. Several bearing pads 16 are located on the bottom of the case 11 to help the cradle 1 stand still on the table.

The circuit unit 2 is placed inside the charger cradle 1. The power cord 3 electrically connects to the circuit unit 2, and, likewise, the electrical connector 4 connects electrically to the power cord 3 on the other end, where the electrical connector 4 is a universal serial bus (USB) connector and connects to a computer system 5.

The present invention offers a mouse charger cradle with wire-winding function, which allows a power cord 3 of the charger cradle 1 to spiral into the spiral trench 13 around the case 11, places the electrical connector 4 and the end part of the power cord 3 into the holding compartment 14 down the bottom of the case 11 after a few windings, and fixes the connector 4 via the clinch components 141 of the holding compartment 14. Accordingly, the charger cradle according to the present invention is more convenient to use.

The aforesaid is the description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention and the accompanying drawings, and it is apparent the characteristics of the present invention are to be considered illustrative, and not restrictive, and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications, enhancements, and other embodiments which fall within the true spirit and scope of the present invention. The scope of the present invention is to be determined by the broadest permissible interpretation of the following claims and their equivalents, and shall not be restricted or limited by the foregoing detailed description.
