Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to frisbees, more particularly a frisbee that can be thrown, captured, flung and rotated, suitable for entertainments and promoting a user's health.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A frisbee of the prior art comprises a circular plastic disk and a rib ring extended from the disk. To use the disk, a user holds the outer rim of the disk first and then throws the disk. The other person captures the disk and then throw again, achieving the effect of doing exercise.

Although the frisbee of the prior art can workout the users by throwing and capturing, the variations in a user's way to play with it is limited due to the simple structure of the disk, which lacks funs of playing with it. Further, a traditional frisbee has a solid disk surface, which does not meet the aero-dynamical stability when it is gliding through the air or when it is landing. Therefore, the frisbees cannot meet practical usages.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

To avoid the shortcomings described above, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a frisbee capable of being thrown, captured, flung and rotated, suitable for entertainments and promoting a user's health.

To achieve the objective, a frisbee comprises a frame consisting of a plurality of mutually engaged sections, an outer cover over the frame having a plurality of through holes of which a central through hole is provided with a string binding section, a first string passing through a rolling bead, a second string movably connected to the rolling bead and a control rod. The second string goes through a hollow section and is connected to the control rod.

The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a frisbee according to the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a rear view of the frisbee in FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 is a local enlarged view of the frisbee in FIG. 1.

FIG. 4 is a local cross-sectional view of the frisbee in FIG. 1.

FIG. 5 illustrates the usage of the frisbee in FIG. 1.

FIGS. 6-1, and 6-2 illustrate the frisbee of the present invention being slung.

FIG. 7 illustrates the first and the second strings of the frisbee being slung.

FIG. 8 illustrates another usage of the frisbee.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 4, a frisbee according to the present invention comprises a frame 1, an outer cover 2, a first string 3, a second string 4 and a control rod 5, whereby the frisbee will achieve the functions of throwing, receiving, flinging, catching and rotating, suitable for entertainments and promoting a user's health.

The frame 1 consists of a plurality of mutually engaged sections which are all rod bodies 11. Each of the rod bodies 11 has a sleeve portion 12 at one end and is flexible and made of carbon glass, whereby the rod bodies 11 can be connected to form a circle and easily dissembled.

The outer rim of the outer cover 2 is provided with a plurality of connecting portions 21 made of adhesive cloths, whereby the outer cover 21 will be attached to the frame 1. The surface of the outer cover 2 is further provided with a plurality of through holes 22, of which the upper and the lower surfaces of the central through hole 22 are respectively provided with string binding portions 23. The rim of the outer cover 2 is provided with a string groove 24, the two ends of which are attached to a hook 25, whereby the outer cover 2 can be easily taken from the frame 1.

The first string 3 has its two ends connected to each of the string binding sections 23. Further, the first string 3 is provided with the rolling bead 31 that is movable along the first string 3. The first string 3 is further provided with string binding sections 23 at predetermined locations thereon.

The second string 4 is movably connected to the rolling bead 31 of the first string 3.

The control rod 5 has a hollow section 51 and is connected to one end of the second string 4. The other end of the second string 4 is provided with a stopping end 41 so that the hollow section 51 of the control rod 5 will not be departed from the second string 4.

Referring to FIGS. 5, 6-1, 6-2 and 7, to use the present invention, the user can hold the control rod 5 to make actions of throwing, capturing and flinging. At the same time, he or she may control the length of the second string 4 to restrict the distance between the disk and the control rod 5, Thereby, the actions of throwing, capturing and flinging will not touch the ground. Further, the through holes 22 of the outer cover 2 help the reduction of air resistance so that the flying disk would be more aerodynamically stable.

Since the two ends of the first string 3 are connected to the string binding sections 23 of the outer cover 2, the first string 3 will move accordingly with the rolling bead 31, when the actions of throwing, capturing, flinging and rotating take place. The string binding sections 23 of the first string 3 will control the moving distances of the movement of the first string 3, whereby the disk can fly according to the control rod 5.

Referring to FIG. 8, the present invention can be used in another occasion, when the first string 3, the second string 4and the control rod 5 are removed. The frame 1 and the outer cover 2 of the present invention can be thrown and captured in the traditional way. However, since the surface of the outer cover 2 is provided with a plurality of through holes 22, they help the reduction of air resistance so that the flying disk would be more aerodynamically stable and goes farther. Further, the landing of the disk will be more smoothly.

To summarize, the present invention as a frisbee is capable of being thrown, captured, flung and rotated, suitable for entertainments and promoting a user's health. It is an improvement from the frisbees of the prior art, and it is practical when being used. Therefore, the inventor files this application.

The present invention is thus described, and it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
