Grill Liner
The Grill Liner consists of a thin metal sheet bent to the radius of public grill's individual surface bars (usually the vertical bar), likely covering enough of the circumference of the bar's surface to stay in place. By covering as many individual vertical grill bars as needed the Grill Liner eliminates any direct contact between the public grill and the food being cooked promoting a more sanitary cooking condition.

The primary objective of this invention is to provide an inexpensive and convenient way for the public to use the community grilling facilities under more sanitary conditions. The secondary objective of this invention is to provide a generic way of covering and/or repairing grill surfaces, temporarily or permanently.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTIONMany times the public grills in the parks and campsites are not sanitary due to the high frequency of use and the lack of cleaning by the previous users. Other times the grills are rusty and worn out due to aging and weathering. To avoid potential unsanitary cooking of the food, many people cover the grills with aluminum foil. Others bring portable grill grids and lay them over the public grill surfaces to avoid food contact with the latter. The Grill Liner covers each individual grill bar thereby eliminating any direct contact between the same and the food being cooked. Depending on size of the cooking area that is needed several Grill Liners can be used to cover as many grill bars as necessary. Once the cooking is done and the grill is cooled, the user may dispose of the liners or the next user may do the same prior to using the grill again using his or her clean Grill Liners.
DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION The Grill Liner consists of a thin strip of metal sheet bent to the radius of an individual grills' bar (typically the vertical bar and generally a standard size for most public grills), likely covering enough of the circumference of the bar's surface to stay in place.
Claims
1. A metallic strip bent to the curvature of an individual vertical or horizontal bar on the surface of any cooking grill. Additional cutouts or features may be added to ensure a snug fit of the said curved metal sheet over the grill's individual surface bars. The metal sheet can be of very thin construction to withstand single use at typical cooking temperatures (disposable model typical for use with public grills), or designed for more permanent applications such as repairing an old or damaged home grill's surface.
