Bed Sheet assembly
A bed sheet assembly has a bed sheet and a pad cover. The pad cover is detachably connected to the bed sheet with a first connection device and adapted to detachably mount on and enclose a mattress. Accordingly, the bed sheet assembly is conveniently assembled or disassembled and is easily connected to and disconnected from a mattress.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a bed sheet assembly, and more particularly to a bed sheet assembly that is easily and conveniently connected to and disconnected from a mattress.
2. Description of Related Art
In a hotel, service personnel of the hotel are often seen making beds by attaching a bed sheet to a mattress, covering the bed sheet with a flat sheet, placing a blanket or a comforter on top of the flat sheet and subsequently placing a bed cover on top of the blanket/comforter. Bottoms and sides of the bed sheet and the flat sheet are tucked under the mattress so as to form a pouch between the bed sheet and the flat sheet. Thereafter, when a user is sleeping in the pouch formed by the bed sheet and the flat sheet, the pouch is able to keep the user at the required temperature and thus the user should be kept warm all through the long night. However, no matter in what kind of position the user sleeps, the user never remains in the same initial position. That is, sleepers inevitably roll over and over again during sleep. The bottoms and the sides of the bed sheet and/or the flat sheet may thus be pulled out from underneath the mattress. As a consequence, the user may easily come down with a cold or at least suffer disrupted sleep.
In addition, the hotel personnel always exchanges used the bed sheet and flat sheet for new ones but does not change the blanket or the comforter, such that sanitary problems may occur when many persons have used a same blanket or comforter.
Furthermore, when the bed is prepared by a single person, the work and time for preparing the conventional bed sheet assembly is tremendous and troublesome.
To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide a bed sheet assembly to mitigate the aforementioned problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe primary objective of the present invention is to provide a bed sheet assembly that is conveniently assembled or disassembled and is easily connected to and disconnected from a mattress. The bed sheet assembly has a bed sheet and a pad cover. The pad cover is detachably connected to the bed sheet with a first connection device and adapted to detachably mount on and enclose a mattress.
Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
With reference to
The bed sheet (10) has a shape adapted to correspond to a shape of a mattress. In the first embodiment, the bed sheet (10) is a substantially rectangular sheet
The pad cover (30) is connected to the bottom of the bed sheet (10) with a first connection device and is adapted to cover on and enclose the mattress. With further reference to
The flat sheet (20) is connected to the bed sheet (10). Optionally, the flat sheet (20) has at least one side detachable connected to the bed sheet (10) with a second connection device. In the first embodiment, only one side of the flat sheet (20) is detachably connected to the bed sheet (10). Two extending skirts (24) are formed and extend from opposite sides of the flat sheet (20) to keep cold air from entering the space between the sheets (10,20). In a preferred embodiment, the second connection device comprises multiple pairs of eyelets and buttons mounted respectively on corresponding sides of the bed sheet (10) and the flat sheet (20) and corresponding to each other. With the engagements of the eyelets and buttons, the flat sheet (20) is detachably connected to the bed sheet (10). In an alternative embodiment, the second connection device comprises zippers mounted respectively on corresponding sides of the bed sheet (10) and the flat sheet (20) and engaging with each other.
In addition, a bend (25) is formed on the flat sheet (20) to define a compartment to partially receive a part of a blanket or a comforter (50). A third connection device is mounted on the flat sheet (20) to securely connect the comforter (50) with the flat sheet. In a preferred embodiment, the third connection device comprises multiple snap strips (26) attached on the periphery of the flat sheet (20) to engage with snap strips (52) or loops mounted on the comforter (50). In an alternative embodiment, the third connection device may comprise multiple loops to engage with the snap strips (52) on the comforter (50). With the engagement of the snap strips (26,52), the blanket or the comforter (50) can be held in place relative to the flat sheet (20).
With reference to
With such a bed sheet assembly, the bed sheet (10), pad cover (30), the flat sheet (20) and the comforter (50) can be attached to or detached from a mattress simultaneously through the pad cover (30). Thus, the hotel personnel can prepare bed conveniently and easily, and to prepare bed needs only one person. Thus, the bed sheet of the present invention is time and labor saving. In addition, because the blanket or the comforter (50) is covered by the bed cover (40) and is not exposed from the flat sheet (20) and the bed cover (40), the blanket or the comforter (50) will not be dirtied even when many persons have used the blanket or the comforter (50). Therefore, it is not necessary to change a new blanket or comforter (50) when the bed sheet assembly is replaced as the sanitary problem found with the prior art will not occur now.
With reference to
The third connection device mounted on the flat sheet (20′) to connect with the comforter (50′) comprises multiple zippers (262) to engage with zippers (54) on the comforter (50′). With the zipper-type connection devices, the comforter (50′) and the sheets (10′,20′) of the bed sheet assembly in accordance with the present invention can be assembled or disassembled easily and conveniently.
With reference to
In addition, the bed cover (40′) can be connected to the flat sheet (20″) in a detachable manner, and a fifth connection device is mounted between the flat sheet (20″) and the bed cover (40′). The fifth connection device comprises two zippers (28,44) mounted respectively on corresponding sides of the flat sheet (20″) and the bed cover (40′). With the engagement of the zippers (28,44) of the fifth connection device, the bed cover (40′) is detachably connected to the flat sheet (20″). In an alternative embodiment, the fifth connection device may comprise multiple eyelets and buttons, snap strips or adhesive straps as described in the connection devices in the above embodiments.
