Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Technical Field of the Invention

The present invention to a panel device and more particularly, to a screen panel, which is practical for use as a peripheral wall panel for basket or cabinet, the bottom of a tray, or a screen wall for partition device.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

Various materials including ceramics, glass, wood, bamboo, plastics, stainless steel, and etc., may be used for making baskets, filing boxes, and other containers. A wooden or bamboo container shows a sense of antique beauty to attract consumers to buy. Small wooden and bamboo containers are widely invited by consumers everywhere for use to keep jewels and other precious small personal items. Containers having open spaces in the peripheral wall are the hot items in market.

Regular commercial bamboo containers commonly comprise a frame structure and screen panels fastened to the frame structure. A screen panel for this purpose may be made of strip members by weaving, and then fastened to the frame structure with stitches or glue.

Conventionally, wooden material is used for making wall panels for partition device or the like. A wooden wall panel may be made in a solid status without opening. Alternatively, a wooden wall panel can be made having open spaces in it, showing a design. A wooden wall panel having a design of open spaces is complicated to manufacture, resulting in a high manufacturing cost.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a screen panel, which utilizes waste bamboo stem materials, reducing the manufacturing cost. It is another object of the present invention to provide a screen panel, which has an open-space design, showing a sense of natural beauty. It is still another object of the present invention to provide a screen panel, which is practical for use as a sidewall for basket or cabinet, a bottom for tray, or a screen wall for a partition device.

According to one aspect of the present invention, the screen panel is comprised of a plate member that is formed by fastening annular bamboo stem elements peripherally to one another with glue. According to another aspect of the present invention, channel bars are respectively to the peripheral sides of the plate member of annular bamboo stem elements.

The foregoing object and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.

Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 illustrates several annular bamboo stem elements for use to make a screen panel according to the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a sectional plain view of a screen panel according to the present invention.

FIG. 3 shows an application example of the present invention.

FIG. 4 shows another application example of the present invention.

FIG. 5 shows still another application example of the present invention.

FIG. 6 shows still another application example of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, annular bamboo stem elements 11 that are approximately equal in height are peripherally fastened to one another, thereby forming a plate member having open spaces. Channel bars 2 that have a substantially -shaped cross section are fastened to the peripheral sides of the plate member thus obtained, forming a screen panel 1.

The aforesaid screen panel 1 can be used as a wall panel for making a rectangular basket as shown in FIG. 3.

The aforesaid screen panel 1 can also be used as the bottom of a circular tray 3 as shown in FIG. 4.

The aforesaid screen panel 1 can also be used as a wall panel for making a cabinet 4 as shown in FIG. 5.

The aforesaid screen panel 1 can also be used as a wall panel for making a partition device as shown in FIG. 6. According to the application example shown in FIG. 6, several screen panels 1 are hinged to one another, forming a partition device; each screen panel 1 has three channel bars fastened to three peripheral sides of the plate member of annular bamboo stem elements, and the other open peripheral side of the plate member of annular bamboo stem elements that is not framed with a channel bar is curved, showing a sense of streamline beauty. Further, the annular bamboo stem elements of the screen panel 1 may have different heights (thickness).

It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.

While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
