Melamine utensil product
A melamine utensil product includes a container made of a melamine resin, and a raised pattern formed as one piece with the container and projecting from a surface of the container. The container includes a bottom wall, and a peripheral wall extending upwardly from the bottom wall to define a receiving space having an opening. The raised pattern projects outwardly from the peripheral wall.
1. Field of the Invention
The invention relates to a melamine product, more particularly to a melamine utensil product that has a raised pattern on an outer surface thereof.
2. Description of the Related Art
Injection molding allows for quick and easy manufacture of products. It is therefore commonly applied in the manufacture of various industrial and household products. Melamine resin is a plastic material that is widely used in the manufacture of utensils by injection molding. Most of the conventional melamine-made products have a substantially even outer surface, and patterns or designs are usually formed thereon by transfer-printing. The resulting product, however, is plain and unattractive.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONTherefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a melamine utensil product having a raised pattern on an outer surface thereof so that the melamine utensil product has an attractive appearance.
According to this invention, a melamine utensil product comprises a container made of a melamine resin, and a raised pattern formed as one piece with the container and projecting from a surface of the container.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGSOther features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent in the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings, of which:
Referring to
The container 3 includes a flat circular bottom wall 31, a peripheral wall 32 extending upwardly and curvedly from an outer periphery of the bottom wall 31 to define a receiving space 35 having an opening, an annular bottom flange 33 projecting downwardly from the outer periphery of the bottom wall 31, and an annular top flange 34 projecting outwardly from a top periphery of the peripheral wall 32.
The container 3 with the raised pattern 4 is formed by compression molding using male and female molds so that the raised pattern 4 is one-piece with the container 3. The raised pattern 4 includes four angularly spaced-apart rooster designs protruding from an outer surface of the peripheral wall 32 of the container 3, and a plurality of rectangular block designs in staggered arrangement and protruding from the outer surface of the peripheral wall 32 of the container 3 proximate to the top flange 34. However, the design of the raised pattern 4 should not be limited thereto. Further, the raised pattern 4 may be formed on an inner surface of the peripheral wall 32, on a top surface of the bottom wall 31, or on an outer surface of the top and/or bottom flanges 34, 33. The location, shape and quantity of the individual designs of the raised pattern 4 are not particularly limited.
The shape of the peripheral wall 32 is not necessarily curved. The shape and location of each of the top and bottom flanges 34, 33 may be altered as desired. Further, the top and bottom flanges 34, 33 may be omitted from the configuration of the melamine utensil product.
From the aforementioned description, through formation of the raised pattern 4 on the outer surface of the peripheral wall 32 of the container 3, the outer appearance of the melamine utensil product of the present invention is more vivid as compared to the conventional melamine-made products. The design of the melamine utensil product of the present invention may be varied as desired. As a result, the melamine utensil product of the present invention is more attractive than the conventional melamine-made products.
While the present invention has been described in connection with what is considered the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is understood that this invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiment but is intended to cover various arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and equivalent arrangements.
