Drain apparatus with branch tube and valve

The disclosed Drain Apparatus with Branch Tube and Valve is a cylindrical tube consisting of the outer tube (1) and inner tube (13). The bottom part of the outer tube (1) has 2 locks (4) (5) to prevent the movement when inserting the inner tube (13) into the outer tube (1). The upper part of the inner tube (13) has a hole (8) of similar size to the branch tube (2), branching from the outer tube (1), to allow high-pressure water or air flow through the inner tube (13). Above the hole (8), a valve (6) is mounted inside the inner tube (13). In its normal position, the valve (6) will perfectly close the end of the hole (8). When high-pressure water or air flows in, the valve (6) will be pushed upwards to close the upper opening. The water or air will flow along to push blockage and waste out of the drain.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The previous Thai Patent application No. 071847 reveals the invention of drain apparatus with branch tube and valve to remove blockage in the drain. The cylindrical apparatus is made in two identical pieces to be attached to each other to form a tube. The material used is plastic. This has caused several defects as follows:

1. Rugged and uneven surface

2. Leak

3. Uneven connection point

4. Fragile

The present Invention acknowledged these defects and is consequently produced with improved characteristics to achieve greater and more efficient result.

This Invention is related to Civil Engineering

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The cylindrical body of the Drain Apparatus is composed of 2 parts, which are the outer tube and the inner tube. The outer tube is a manufactured in one piece with small tube branching on its side; while the inner tube is composed of 2 pieces attached to each other to form a tube with a valve affixed inside. The inner tube which is relatively smaller than the outer tube is to be inserted into the outer tube with a lock to prevent movement without use of glue or other means of connection.

The primary objective of this Invention is to remove blockage and waste in the drain, using the power of water pressure or air pressure. Moreover, this unique, simplified and effective Invention will help to increase convenience in life, save time, money and labor from the traditional blockage removing methods. More importantly, it helps protect the environment and dispose the waste properly with absolutely no use of chemical substance.

With use of this environment-friendly Invention, it is not required to disassemble the drain or use chemical substance to corrode the drain, causing severe damage to the environment.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING

FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the one-pieced outer tube which is a cylindrical tube with branch tube on the side. Inside the cylindrical tube above the branch tube, there is a seat to be associated with the inner tube. The bottom part of the cylindrical tube has 2 locks to support the inner tube.

FIG. 2 show the exterior view of the inner tube which is consisted of 2 identical pieces attached to each other. The upper part has a circular hole and the bottom part has 2 buttons

FIG. 3 is a sectional view of the inner tube from FIG. 2. It is consisted of 2 pieces attached to each other. There is a valve seat, valve, circular hole, cove and curve.

FIG. 4 is a sectional view of the present Invention when the inner tube is inserted into the outer tube.

FIG. 5 is a sectional view of the present Invention when the inner tube is inserted into the outer tube. Air/water flow through the branch tube and circular hole will open the valve to close the upper opening.

FIG. 6 is a sectional view of the present Invention. When the Drain Apparatus with Branch Tube and Valve is installed in various connection, the valve at Position 1, by air/water pressure will close the upper opening.

FIG. 7 is a sectional view following from FIG. 6. The valve at Position 1 and 2 close the upper opening.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

FIG. 1. is the outer tube (1) that is manufactured in one piece with small tube (2) branching on its side. Inside the outer tube (1), a seat (3) is positioned above the small branch tube (2) to prevent movement of the upper part of the inner tube. The bottom part of the outer tube also has 2 locks (4) (5) to prevent the movement when inserting the inner tube into the outer tube without necessary use of glue or other means of connection.

FIG. 2 is the inner tube (13). The inner tube is composed of 2 identical pieces attached to each other to form the cylindrical tube (13). The outer diameter of the inner tube (13) which is relatively smaller than the inside diameter of the outer tube (1) is to be inserted into the outer tube (1). The upper part of the inner tube has a hole (8) of similar size to the branch tube diameter (2) from FIG. 1 to let high-pressure water or air flow through the inner tube (13). To prevent movement when inserting the inner tube (13) into the outer tube (1), the bottom part of the inner tube (13) has 2 small buttons (11) (12) to be associated with the 2 locks (4) and (5) of the outer tube (1).

FIG. 3 shows the sectional view of the inner tube (13). Above the hole (8), a valve (6) is mounted inside the inner tube (13). In its normal position, the valve (6) will perfectly close the end of the hole (8), leaving its upper opening open so the sewage can flow downwards. Also, there is a valve seat (7) under the upper opening of the inner tube (13) for coupling with the valve (6) when high-pressure water or air pushes the valve (6) to move up to close the upper opening. Inside the inner tube (13), there is also the concave part (9) underneath the hole (8), and the convex part (10) is lower.

FIG. 4 is a sectional view of Drain Apparatus with Branch Tube and Valve when inner tube (13) is inserted into the outer tube (1). Inner tube (13) is completely pushed via the bottom opening of the outer tube (1) until the upper opening of the inner tube (13) reaches the seat (3) inside the outer tube (1). The hole (8) of the inner tube (13) will align with the hole of the branch tube (2) of the outer tube (1). When the high-pressure water or air is connected to the branch tube (2), the water or air will flow through the hole (8) and the inner tube (13). In its normal position, the valve (6) will perfectly close the end of the hole (8), opens it upper opening so the sewage can flow downward.

FIG. 5 is sectional view of Drain Apparatus with Branch Tube and Valve when the inner tube (13) is inserted into the outer tube (1). When the high-pressure water or air flows through the branch tube (2), the water or air will push the valve (6) upwards to close the upper opening by coupling with the valve seat (7).

Therefore, the water or air cannot flow upwards, but will flow downwards to remove blockage and waste in the drain.

FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing connection of drains at several points with this Drain Apparatus with Branch Tube and Valve. Starting at the branch tube (2), when the high-pressure water or air is connected, water or air will flow through the hole (8) and push the valve (6) into the position the closes the upper opening by coupling with the valve seat (7). The water or air will hit the convex part (14) of the second Drain Apparatus with Branch Tube and Valve and then flow into the concave part (15). Then, the pressure of water or air will push the valve (16) upwards into the position that closes the upper opening by coupling with the valve seat (17).

FIG. 7 is a continuation from FIG. 6. When the valve (16) closes the upper opening of the second Drain Apparatus with Branch Tube and Valve, the water or air will flow along tube 18 to push blockage and waste out of the drain.

FIG. 6 and FIG. 7 clearly show that the Invention has been improved to create more efficiency. With multiples connection of Drain Apparatus with Branch Tube and Valve and only one point of water/air pressure flow, blockage and waste at any position along the drain can be removed. The valve at the first position will be pushed by water/air pressure to close the outer tube's upper opening. The valve at other positions will also be pushed by flowing water/air to close the outer tube's upper opening according to the statement outline above.

Claims
