Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of Invention

The invention relates to an insulated, heat resistant, waterproof container with Important Note: Carrying Handles allowing one-handed portability for the insulated transportation of foods and/or substances corresponding to all sizes of crockpots and similar appliances, acting as a blanket or a jacket surrounding a transportation space or area, a closeable opening provided for accessing the space in the blanket/jacket. There is an existing similar product on the market, only applicable to one particular oval size crockpot lacking any handles requiring the user to use both hands for carrying. It also does not provide the convenience and accomodation to all size crockpots that this item would provide.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

This object is an insulated container, with carrying handles, and a safety feature to keep the handles together so that one-handed convenience may be achieved, acting as a blanket or a jacket which surrounds a transportation space or area, and in which a closeable, Velcro opening is provided for accessing the transportation space in the blanket/jacket. The inside of this carrier has a heat resistant, waterproof liner, with a flip-up, collapsible bottom for flat storage. The carrier will accommodate all sizes of crockpots, beginning with the largest pot at 16 inches in width, then utilizing a drawstring at the back of the container to cinch to the smaller pots at 12 inches. Height will be a standard 14 inches to accommodate all the pots.

Claims

1. An insulated carrier, convenient, for the transportation specific to crock pots/pots/appliances containing foods, substances and/or articles, the carrier acting as a blanket/jacket surrounding a transportation space, a closeable, dual Velcro closure being provided in the blanket/jacket for insertion and removal access to the transportation space, with the carrier further comprising:

The claim clarifies this original design of the dual, Velcro closure consisting utilizing four fabric flaps, similar to flower petals. The flower petal design, layered at the top of the inserted appliance allows for insertion and removal of the carried appliance. The flower petal design is attached to the covered plastic base and sewn up the petal flap approximately (5) five inches from the base. All the Velcro attachments are at the top of the petal flaps and doubly layered over the enclosed appliance. This allows the petals to open up to allow ease of insertion and removal of appliance.

2. The two-part safety handle, allowing for stabilization and convenience.

3. Utilizing drawstring through mid-carrier, which shirrs to downsize all sizes of pots/appliances.

4. A collapsible, yet removable option, hard plastic bottom for convenient storage, allowing for machine wash and/or damp wipe clean convenience.

5. (canceled)

6. Insulated container, characterized in that the jacket has attached dual Velcro flaps similar to petals to secure the pot or similar appliance lid while inside the container, which constitutes another safety feature, preventing spillage and danger to the person carrying.

7. Even though specific to crock pots, container could also be utilized by organizations for convenient insulated transport of food products in containers layered one on top of another other than crock pots to other businesses, elderly, and homebound.

8. Insulated container could eliminate the need for some Styrofoam containers. Since Styrofoam is difficult to recycle, this product could benefit the environment by eliminating some Styrofoam.

9. Handle cutouts shown to further stabilize the pot/appliance, preventing slippage while contained.
