Tool Bag Featuring A Multi, Two-In-One Pouch Design
A storage device for storing and carrying tools or other similar devices is provided. The device generally comprises a first storage compartment and second storage compartment, each storage compartment containing front and back panels, lateral side panels, and a bottom panel. The top of the storage compartments include openings for accessing the storage compartments. At least one dividing member defines a plurality of storage pockets within each storage compartment. The dividing member contains a lower edge connected to the bottom panel of the storage compartment, a front edge connected to the front panel of the storage compartment, and a back edge connected to the back panel of the storage compartment. A tool slot is defined by the front panel of the first storage compartment, a back panel of the second storage compartment, and the connections between the storage compartments.
This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Application Ser. Nos. 60/715,655 filed Sep. 9, 2005 the disclosure and content of which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety.
FIELD OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to a storage device and, in particular, to a tool pouch for storing and/or carrying tools, construction materials, and other similar devices.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIn an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a storage device for storing tools and other construction devices and materials is provided. The storage device generally comprises a first storage compartment containing a front panel, back panel, a first and a second lateral side panels, and a bottom panel. The top of the storage compartment includes an opening for permitting access to the storage compartment. At least one dividing member defines a plurality of storage pockets within the first storage compartment. The dividing member contains a lower edge connected to the bottom panel of the first storage compartment, a front edge connected to the front panel of the first storage compartment, and a back edge connected to the back panel of the first storage compartment. The storage device also includes a second storage compartment connected to the first storage compartment. A tool slot is defined by the front panel of the first storage compartment, a back panel of the second storage compartment, and the connections between the first storage compartment and the second storage compartment.
The details of these and other embodiments of the present invention are set forth in the accompanying drawings and the description below. Other features and advantages of the invention will be apparent from the description and drawings, and from the claims.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGSThe present invention may take physical form in certain parts and steps, embodiments of which will be described in detail in the following description and illustrated in the accompanying drawings that form a part hereof, wherein:
Storage compartment 102 also contains at least one dividing member 113 for dividing the storage compartment into separate storage areas 114, 116. As shown in
Referring to back to
The tool pouch 100 may also include a second storage compartment 128 either fixedly or removably connected to the first storage compartment 102. The second storage compartment 128 may be connected to the first storage compartment 102 by riveting, stitching, clips, snaps, or other suitable attachment methods. In the preferred embodiment shown in
The tool pouch 100 may also include one or more tool sleeves 140 attached to the storage compartment areas 102, 128. For example,
In conclusion, herein is presented a tool pouch configured to hold a variety of tools, devices, and other objects. Accordingly, the invention is embodied in the form shown in the various drawings. Numerous variations are possible while maintaining the spirit of the invention. Such variations are contemplated as being part of the present invention
