Abstract

A luggage cart comprises: at least one body having an internal compartment for storing clothes or personal belongings, at least one shell on the bottom of the body, a plurality of rollers pivotally assembled with the bottom of the body for supporting the body on the ground, at least one track inside the body; and at least one extendable handle bar on the upper of the body assembled along the track of the body. The handle bar can be held for moving the body of the luggage cart. More, the handle bar is hollow and is assembled to multiple middle bars with different diameters for freely drawing out or extending from both ends. Further, each middle bar can be drawn out individually for adjusting the length of the total middle bars as a clothes hanger.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is related to a luggage cart for traveling purpose. More particularly, the luggage cart in the present invention has a shell on the bottom assembled with rollers, and the upper of the luggage cart has a movable handle bar. While the luggage cart is not used under moving, the handle bar of the luggage cart can be used as a hanger for hanging clothes.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Conventionally, the common luggage box has rollers for conveniently moving and supporting the luggage on the ground. Some luggage box even has rollers on the upper parts. In commercial market, the handle bar can be fixed on a frame of the body having an internal compartment, and sometimes the handle bar can be slidely drawn out from the frame if necessary. Besides, Japanese patent publication 9-510136 (patent document 1) and Japanese patent publication 2004-73534 (patent document 2) disclosed the handle bar having a hanging function.

The technology recorded in Japanese patent publication 9-510136 (patent document 1) is related to a briefcase with a banner, and its grip can be drawn out from back of the body in the briefcase. A drawable bar is embedded in the grip of the handle bar. By drawing out the drawable bar, the bar can be used as a hanger. However, the technology is mainly only focused on a drawable middle bar, and it has a limited length for use. Therefore, the hanger function of this drawable middle bar is not well used.

Furthermore, the technology recorded in Japanese patent publication 2004-73534 (patent document 2) is related to a hanger bar drawn out from both sides of the handle bar, and the hanger bar has a fixed thickness. Therefore, the handle bar requires being designed to a wider size, and the hanger bars need to be parallel each other for inserting into the handle bar. The present invention is improved to overcome the shortcomings as mentioned in above prior arts.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In order to solve the shortcomings of the prior art, the main object of the present invention is to provide a luggage cart with a simple and convenient hanger structure.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a luggage cart having a handle bar with a hanging function. The handle bar is embedded in the body having an internal compartment, and will not cause any barrier under unused status. When using the handle bar as a grip, the handle bar can be easily drawn out.

Further object of the present invention is to provide a luggage cart having a number of rollers on the bottom of the body having an internal compartment, and the rollers can support clothes and personal belongings of the body for moving on the ground. The handle bar is positioned on the upper of the body which is drawable along tracks of the body. Moreover, the handle bar structure in the present invention is hollow. In the hollow part of the handle bar, a number of middle bars with various diameters are embedded inside. Both ends of the middle bars can be drawn out and extended from one or the other. Further, each middle bar can be drawn out individually for adjusting the length of the total middle bars as a clothes hanger.

To achieve the above mentioned objects, the luggage cart of the present invention comprises: at least one body having an internal compartment for storing clothes or personal belongings, at least one shell on the bottom of the body, a plurality of rollers pivotally assembled with the bottom of the body for supporting the body on the ground, at least one track inside the body; and at least one extendable handle bar on the upper of the body assembled along the track of the body. The handle bar can be held for moving the body of the luggage cart. More, the handle bar is hollow and is assembled to multiple middle bars with different diameters for freely drawing out or extending from both ends. Further, each middle bar can be drawn out individually for adjusting the length of the total middle bars as a clothes hanger.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF SOME EMBODIMENTS

Other advantages, objects, technical features, and effects of the present invention can be understood by following detailed description of the preferred embodiments in conjunctive with drawings.

Please refer to FIG. 1 (and other drawings as well). It shows a luggage cart of the present invention comprising: an embedded groove 3 embedded on an upper part 2 of a body 1. Two rods 5 are assembled vertically along the tracks (not shown in the figure) of the body 1, and a handle bar 4 is assembled with two rods 5 for sliding inside. When the handle bar 4 is not in use, it can be embedded in the embedded groove 3 of the body 1. A locking part 7 of a latching mechanism can prevent the handle bar 4 moving out freely. The handle bar 4 also has a flexible concave with semi-circle ring section which is made by compounded resin.

The handle bar 4 is formed as a hollow tube, as shown in FIGS. 2A, 2B, and 3 (and other drawings as well). The vertical section is elliptic which can be easily held and carried by hands. The handle bar 4 has three-stage middle bars 4a, 4b, 4c with various thicknesses (diameters) for adjustably drawing in or drawing out. Stoppers 6 are used as a wedge mechanism and are fixed in the overlapping parts of the middle bars 4a, 4b, 4c for preventing the middle bars freely drawing in and drawing out. Therefore, the middle bars 4a, 4b, 4c can be fixed at specific places under user's control. By respectively adjusting lengths of the middle bars 4a, 4b, 4c, the entire holding degree of the handle bar 4 also can be adjusted. In addition, a surface of the handle bar 4 can be formed by a number of wheel grooves in order to prevent sliding.

The locking part 7 is positioned in the body 1. The body inside has tracks for the rods 5 sliding inside. The wedge is embedded in a wedge part on the upper of the rods 5. A number of rollers 8 are pivotally assembled with the bottom of the body 1 for supporting the body 1. A handle bar 9 can be alternative to be used while not using the handle bar 4. In the luggage cart of the present invention, the holding part 9 is always held and lifted for moving the body 1. When a large number of stuffs are filled into the body, it is too heavy to carry. Therefore, the handle bar 4 can be held by hands, and the rollers 8 of the body 1 can support the body for moving on the ground.

When using the handle bar, the fingers can hold and pull the handle bar 4 out from the embedded groove 3 of the body 1 along the rods 5. In the meantime, the wedge mechanism of the handle bar 4 is released, and the drawable rods 5 are fixed at the catch 10. By holding and pulling the drawn handle bar 4, the rollers 8 in the body 1 of the luggage cart can support the body for moving on the ground.

In order to use the luggage cart of the present invention as hangers, both left and right middle bars 4c of the handle bar 4 can be drawn out to a specific length. By using the stopper 6, the middle bars 4b, 4a can be fixed at specific places. In order to hang clothes or personal belongings, the handle bar 4 is adjusted to the required length. Please refer to FIG. 4 (other drawings as well). The diagram shows that the handle bar of a luggage cart is pulled to the maximum length for using as a hanger in the present invention.

The present invention was not disclosed and used before and meets the patent requirements, and thus it should be granted a patent.

Any change made to the concept of the present invention without departing from the spirit of the present invention and other variations, modifications, applications, and equivalents, such as altering the formation or arranging models should be covered by the claims of the present invention.

Claims

1. A luggage cart comprising:

at least one body having an internal compartment for storing clothes or personal belongings;

at least one shell on the bottom of the body;

a plurality of rollers pivotally assembled with the bottom of the body for supporting the body on the ground;

at least one track inside the body;

at least one extendable and hollow handle bar on the upper of the body assembled along the track of the body, wherein said handle bar can be held for moving the body of the luggage cart; and

a plurality of middle bars with different diameters assembled to the handle bar, wherein each middle bar can be drawn out or extended individually from both ends for adjusting the length of the total middle bars as a clothes hanger.

2. The luggage cart of claim 1, wherein a vertical portion of said handle bar is elliptic, and each extendable middle bar in said hollow handle bar has drawable locking part.

3. The luggage cart of claim 1, wherein the upper of the body has an embedded groove for securing the handle bar as well as preventing the handle bar loose.
