Suspension clamp of a garment hanger

A suspension clamp used as an attached element of a garment hanger. The garment hanger includes a main hanger having a coupling device and a hook. The suspension clamp includes a ring and a clamp. The ring is formed as an L shape and adapted to fit the coupling device through which the suspension clamp can be suspended from the main hanger and can fasten the main hanger. The clamp is coupled to the ring by which one or more garment can be hung.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a garment hanger, and more particularly to a suspension clamp used as an attached element of a garment hanger.

2. Description of the Prior Art

A garment hanger sold in the markets mainly includes the functions of: 1. the two ends of the hanger are used to support the inner sides of the shoulder portions of a clothes to keep the clothes smooth and straight; 2. the two ends of the hanger are respectively provided with clamps for clamping pants or towels; and 3. the above two functions are combined to make the hanger a dual suit hanger. There is another type of garment hanger with an attached element for a suit of clothes appeared in the markets in the past few years.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the appearance of a conventional garment hanger. As shown in FIG. 1, a garment hanger 10 comprises a main hanger 11 and a suspension clamp 50. The main hanger 11 comprises a main body 20 on which there is a hook 30, and two clamps 40 provided respectively on the two ends of the main body 20. A suspension clamp 50 is attached to the main hanger 11 and used as an attached element of the garment hanger 10. The suspension clamp 50 comprises a ring 60 through which the suspension clamp 50 can be suspended from the main hanger 11, and clamps 90 coupled to the ring 60 by which one or more garment or clothing accessories can be hung.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the suspension clamp 50 as shown in FIG. 1. As shown in FIG. 2, the suspension clamp 50 comprises the ring 60 and the clamps 90 coupled to the ring 60 with a pillar 70 and a rod 80. The suspension clamp 50 can not fix on the main hanger 11 resulting from the shape and structure of the ring 60 not matching the main hanger 11. The ring 60 cannot fasten the main hanger 11 tightly resulting in the garment hanger 10 in disorder.

Thus a novel suspension clamp of a garment hanger that can fix and match a main hanger would be highly desirable.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An objective according to the present invention is to provide a suspension clamp of a garment hanger that can fix and match a main hanger with improved feature of the suspension clamp characterized by transformation of a shape and an appropriate dimension of a ring of the suspension clamp.

The present invention achieves the above-mentioned objective by providing a suspension clamp used as an attached element of a garment hanger. The garment hanger includes a main hanger having a coupling device and a hook. The suspension clamp includes a ring and a clamp. The ring is formed as an L shape and adapted to fit the coupling device through which the suspension clamp can be suspended from the main hanger and can fasten the main hanger. The clamp is coupled to the ring by which one or more garment can be hung.

The following detailed description, given by way of example and not intended to limit the invention solely to the embodiments described herein, will best be understood in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

A suspension clamp used as an attached element of a garment hanger according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention will now be described.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the appearance of a preferred embodiment of a garment hanger of the present invention. FIG. 4 is a partly enlarged perspective view of the garment hanger of FIG. 3. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, a garment hanger 100 comprises a main hanger 110 and a suspension clamp 150. The main hanger 110 comprises a main body 120, a hook 130, a coupling device 135 and two clamps 140. The coupling device 135 has a certain width W1 and a certain length L1 for connecting the hook 130 to the main body 120. The two clamps 140 are provided respectively on the two ends of the main body 120.

A suspension clamp 150 is attached to the main hanger 110 and used as an attached element of the garment hanger 100. The suspension clamp 150 comprises a ring 160 through which the suspension clamp 150 can be suspended from the main hanger 110, and a clamp 180 coupled to the ring 160 by which one or more garment or clothing accessories can be hung. The ring 160 is formed as an L shape and has an internal width W2 and an internal length L2, as shown in FIG. 5. The internal width W2 is in a range of 7 to 12 mm and slightly larger than the certain width W1 of the coupling device 135 of the main hanger 110. The internal length L2 is in a range of 20 to 30 mm and slightly larger than the certain length L1 of the coupling device 135. Thus, the suspension clamp 150 can be suspended from the main hanger 110 through and down the hook 130, and can fasten the main hanger 110 by means of the transformation of the ring 160 to the L shape and an appropriate dimension of the ring 160 adapted to fit the coupling device 135. The ring 160 is suspended through and down the hook 130 and formed as an L shape to fasten the main hanger 110 together with the suspension clamp 150 to form the hanger 100, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. Then, one or more garment or clothing accessories can be hung with the suspension clamp 150.

The main body 120 is in a shape such as an “I”, a triangle or any other shape suitable for supporting garment on the main body 120, and is made of plastic by injection forming, or can be made of some other solid and durable material. The hook 130 is detachably connected to the main body 120 through the coupling device 135 by the way of engaging or screwing. The material of the hook 130 is preferably a metal or some other durable materials. The suspension clamp 150 is made of plastic by injection forming. The ring 160 and the clamp 180 can be two different components or can be formed integrally with each other.

FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing the appearance of the suspension clamp 150. As shown in FIG. 5, the suspension clamp 150 comprises the ring 160 formed as an L shape and the clamp 180 coupled to the ring 160. As mentioned above, the ring 160 in an L shape comprises the internal width W2 and the internal length L2. The internal width W2 is in a range of 7 to 12 mm and slightly larger than the certain width W1 of the coupling device 135. The internal length L2 is in a range of 20 to 30 mm and slightly larger than the certain length L1 of the coupling device 135. The ring 160 is in its L shape and with the appropriate dimension adapted to fit the coupling device 135; thus, the ring 160 can fasten the main hanger 110. In this preferred embodiment, the clamp 180 is specifically formed at the opposite side of the ring 160. Besides, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, a clamp 480 is formed at the same side of a ring 460 of a suspension clamp 450.

As shown in FIGS. 6, 7, 10 and 11, the other four types of the suspension clamp are, except as described below, similar to the preceding suspension clamp 150 as shown in FIG. 5. As shown in FIG. 6, a suspension clamp 250 comprises a ring 260 and a clamp 280 coupled to the ring 260 with one pillar 290. The ring 260 is similar to the ring 160 as shown in FIG. 5. Thus, the suspension clamp 250 can be suspended from the main hanger 110 through and down the hook 130, and can fasten the main hanger 110 by means of the transformation of the ring 260 to the L shape and the appropriate dimension of the ring 260 adapted to fit the coupling device 135 (not shown). In this preferred embodiment, the clamp 280 is specifically formed at the opposite side of the ring 260. Besides, as shown in FIG. 10 a clamp 580 is formed at the same side of a ring 560 of a suspension clamp 550.

As shown in FIG. 7, a suspension clamp 350 comprises a ring 360 and a clamp 380 coupled to the ring 360 with two pillars 390. The ring 360 is similar to the ring 160 shown in FIG. 5. Thus, the suspension clamp 350 can be suspended from the main hanger 110 through and down the hook 130, and can fasten the main hanger 110 by means of the transformation of the ring 360 to the L shape and the appropriate dimension of the ring 360 adapted to fit the coupling device 135 (not shown). In this preferred embodiment, the clamp 380 is specifically formed at the opposite side of the ring 360. Besides, as shown in FIG. 11 a clamp 680 is formed at the same side of a ring 660 of a suspension clamp 650.

Claims

1. A suspension clamp, used as an attached element of a garment hanger having a main hanger, the main hanger having a coupling device with a certain width and a certain length and for connecting a hook to a main body of the main hanger, the suspension clamp comprising:

a ring, formed as an L shape and adapted to fit the coupling device through which the suspension clamp can be suspended from the main hanger and can fasten the main hanger; and
a clamp, coupled to the ring by which one or more garment can be hung.

2. The suspension clamp as recited in claim 1, wherein the ring has an internal width slightly larger than the certain width of the coupling device of the main hanger.

3. The suspension clamp as recited in claim 2, wherein the internal width is in a range of 7 to 12 mm.

4. The suspension clamp as recited in claim 1, wherein the ring has an internal length slightly larger than the certain length of the coupling device of the main hanger.

5. The suspension clamp as recited in claim 4, wherein the internal width is in a range of 20 to 30 mm.

6. The suspension clamp as recited in claim 1, wherein the clamp is coupled to the ring with at least one pillar.

7. The suspension clamp as recited in claim 1, wherein the clamp is coupled to the ring with two pillars.

8. The suspension clamp as recited in claim 1, wherein the clamp is formed at the opposite or the same side of the ring.

9. The suspension clamp as recited in claim 1, wherein the suspension clamp is made of plastic by injection forming.

10. The suspension clamp as recited in claim 1, wherein the ring and the clamp are formed integrally with each other.

11. A garment hanger, comprising:

a main hanger, having a coupling device with a certain width and a certain length and for connecting a hook to a main body of the main hanger; and
a suspension clamp, attached to the main hanger;
wherein the suspension clamp comprises: a ring, formed as an L shape and adapted to fit the coupling device through which the suspension clamp can be suspended from the main hanger and can fasten the main hanger; and
a clamp, coupled to the ring by which one or more garment can be hung.

12. The garment hanger as recited in claim 11, wherein the ring has an internal width slightly larger than the certain width of the coupling device of the main hanger.

13. The garment hanger as recited in claim 12, wherein the internal width is in a range of 7 to 12 mm.

14. The garment hanger as recited in claim 11, wherein the ring has an internal length slightly larger than the certain length of the coupling device of the main hanger.

15. The garment hanger as recited in claim 14, wherein the internal width is in a range of 20 to 30 mm.

16. The garment hanger as recited in claim 11, wherein the clamp is coupled to the ring with at least one pillar.

17. The garment hanger as recited in claim 11, wherein the clamp is coupled to the ring with two pillars.

18. The garment hanger as recited in claim 11, wherein the clamp is formed at the opposite or the same side of the ring.

19. The garment hanger as recited in claim 11, wherein the suspension clamp is made of plastic by injection forming.

20. The garment hanger as recited in claim 11, wherein the ring and the clamp are formed integrally with each other.
