Metal strengthened structure

A metal strengthened structure has an extruded pillar with a first through hole, a metal pillar arranged in the first through hole, a gap between the first through hole and the metal pillar, and a buffer material filled up the gap. The metal pillar and the buffer material provide enhanced hardness of the extruded pillar without changing its shape.

BACKGROUND

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention generally relates to an improvement of a metal strengthened structure, and more particularly relates to the structure of a metal cabinet pillar.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Accordingly, with the improvement of the aluminum extrusion technology, pillars and other equipment made with extrusion are widely used. All elements whose shape is complex, workpiece is long, product is difficult to process, or weight is limitary, can consider being substituted by aluminum extrusion, such as the medical apparatus, optical instrument, electronic part fin, sports apparatus, household supplies (cupboard, etc.), camera scaffold, communication apparatus, vehicle parts, etc.

Although, aluminum extrusion can apply to different shapes for different purposes, its weak cannular pillar would be an issue for could not be strong enough to be the pillar of the metal cabinet.

For example, referring to the FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-section view of the extruded pillar 10′ in accordance with a prior art. Shown in the FIG. 1, the pillar's center is a cannular region 20. The extruded pillar 10′ may be used for many kinds of purposes. Generally, the pillar with cannular configuration enables pressure homogenously over the extruded pillar 10′. However, If it is utilized to form to metal cabinet 40, it might be too weak to accept formidable stress and quake, and result in reducing the metal cabinet 40's life cycle and furthermore damaging the objects inside the metal cabinet 40.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Hence, the main spirit of the present invention is to provide a metal strengthened structure, and then some disadvantages of well-known technology are overcome.

One of objects of the present invention is to provide a metal strengthened structure utilizing an extruded pillar whose hardness is higher than the metal pillar and a buffer material so as to effectively enhance the hardness of the extruded pillar.

In order to achieve previous objects, the present invention is to provide a metal strengthened structure includes an extruded pillar with a first through hole, a metal pillar arranged in the first through hole, a gap between the first through hole and the metal pillar, and a buffer material filled up the gap.

Furthermore, the extruded pillar have at least a second through hole, wherein the second through hole is formed to make the structure of the extruded pillar stronger, and each part of the extruded pillar be given the same pressure.

Other advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings wherein are set forth, by way of illustration and example, certain embodiments of the present invention.

The foregoing aspects and many of the accompanying advantages of this invention will become more readily appreciated as the same becomes better understood by reference to the following detailed description, when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein:

FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-section view of the architecture of the extruded pillar, in accordance with the prior art;

FIG. 2 is a schematic representation of the three-dimension view of the architecture of metal cabinet with extruded pillar, in accordance with the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a schematic representation of the cross-section view of the architecture of the extruded pillar, in accordance with the present invention; and

FIG. 4 is a schematic representation of the cross-section view of the architecture of the extruded pillar arranged in metal pillar and filled up with buffer material, in accordance with the present invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The present invention is to design a metal strengthened structure to enhance the hardness of the metal cabinet pillar. In the following description, a metal strengthened structure with the metal pillar and buffer material is utilized to illustrate the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 2 is a schematic three-dimensional view of the metal cabinet 40 in accordance with the present invention. Shown in FIG. 2, the extruded pillar 10 is designed to support the metal cabinet 40 on or inside which may be placed heavy objects. Accordingly, the support strength of the extruded pillar 10 is an important factor for metal cabinet 40.

Besides, such as shown in the FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, the extruded pillar 10 includes a first through hole 22 and a plurality of second through holes 26a, 26b, 26c, 26d, 26e, and 26f. In one embodiment, the first through hole 22 has an injection hole 24 through which a buffer material 28 may be poured into the extruded pillar 10. Furthermore, the shape of the injection hole 24 may be, for example, semi-circle or other shapes suitable for easily pouring into buffer material 28. The cooperating configuration of the second through holes 26a, 26b, 26c, 26d, 26e, and 26f may provide the extruded pillar 10 with enhanced mechanical strength and homogenous supporting. The metal pillar 30 may be extruded inside the first through hole 22 of the extruded pillar 10. However, there is generally a gap between the first through hole 22 and the metal pillar 30. Thus, the gap may be filled up with the buffer material 28 though the injection hole 24. The buffer material 28 tightly joint the first through hole 22 and the metal pillar 30.

In one embodiment, the extruded pillar 10 is made of aluminum extrusion and the first through hole 22 within the extruded pillar 10 is of n-shape or other geometric figures. Furthermore, the metal pillar 30, of similar shape as the extruded pillar 10, is made of channel iron, steel, or metal that has hardness higher than extruded pillar 10. The buffer material 28 is or included foamed material. For example, the mixture of plastics materials and foaming agent is poured into the injection hole 24 through the first through hole 22 and foamed to joint the metal pillar 30 and extruded pillar 10 more tightly.

Furthermore, the present invention enhances the hardness of the original extruded pillar and makes the structure of the metal cabinet stronger without changing its shape. The metal strengthened structure can effectively overcome conventional shortcomings, and have outstanding improvement.

While the invention is susceptible to various modifications and alternative forms, a specific example thereof has been shown in the drawings and is herein described in detail. It should be understood, however, that the invention is not to be limited to the particular form disclosed, but to the contrary, the invention is to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.

Claims

1. A metal strengthened structure comprising:

an extruded pillar having a first through hole;
a metal pillar arranged in said first through hole, wherein a gap is between said first through hole and said metal pillar; and
a buffer material used to filled up said gap.

2. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 1, wherein said first through hole is of an n-shape.

3. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 1, wherein an injection hole is in said first through hole.

4. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 3, wherein said injection hole is of a semicircle shape.

5. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 1, wherein said extruded pillar comprises at least a second through-hole.

6. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 1, wherein said extruded pillar is performed by extruding aluminum.

7. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 1, wherein said metal pillar has a hardness higher than said extruded pillar does.

8. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 1, wherein said metal pillar is of an n-shape.

9. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 1, wherein said metal pillar is channel iron.

10. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 1, wherein said metal pillar is steel.

11. The metal strengthened structure according to claim 1, wherein said buffer material is foamed material.
