Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a magnetic induction dart to be used with a dartboard with induction coils to create a score.

2. Description of the Prior Art

The electronic scoring dartboards currently on the market are generally classified into tactile type and magnetic induction type.

U.S. Pat. No. 5775694 discloses a magnetic dart as shown in FIG. 1, wherein the body 10 of the dart is made of non-magnetic induction material, in the front end of the body 10 is inserted a strong magnetic member 11 that protrudes therefrom, and an electromagnetic induction dartboard is used to record the score automatically. The aforementioned magnetic dart still has the following disadvantages:

First, there is no scoring tip on the front end of the body 10, therefore, this conventional dart cannot be used in formal competition.

Second, the generated lines of magnetic force will be densely and radially congregated at the front end of the body 10 in a semicircular pattern, and the width of the semicircular pattern of the lines of magnetic force is very large. Therefore, it will cause false induction on the electromagnetic induction dartboard to create a false score.

Third, there is no scoring tip on the front end of the body 10, therefore, the player can't experience the penetrating strength when throwing dart, and the dart game gives the player no pleasure.

Fourth, strong magnetism has adverse effect on the health of the player.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an easily assembled and disassembled magnetic induction dart, the magnetic member is detachably disposed in the receiving space of the body of the dart and is located between the shaft and the body. Therefore, the magnetic member can be assembled and disassembled easily and quickly by the user.

The secondary objective of the present invention is to provide a magnetic induction dart. A magnetic member is embedded in the body, and the tip is made of magnetic induction material. The magnetic induction material produces circle circulatory lines of magnetic force by the indirect induction of the lines of magnetic force of the magnetic member. By such arrangements, the induction coils of the dartboard can accurately sense the lines of indirect magnetic induction, without being affected by the strong and dense lines of magnetic force of the strong magnetic member.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 2-5, a magnetic dart in accordance with the present invention comprises:. a body 20, a shaft 30, a flight 40, a tip 50, and a magnetic member 60. The magnetic dart is to be thrown onto a dartboard 70 to create a score. The dartboard 70 is provided on its surface with a frame 71, and in the frame 71 are arranged induction coils 72 that are used to induce the magnetic dart.

The body 20 is made of tungsten alloy or copper, and in an end surface of the body 20 is formed a threaded hole 22 located along the central axis thereof. The threaded hole 22 is formed with inner threads 221, and a receiving space 23 is defined in the bottom of the threaded hole 22.

The shaft 30 is formed at one end thereof with outer threads 31 for meshing with the inner threads 221 of the body 20.

The shaft 40 is installed at another end of the shaft 30 opposite the outer threads 31.

The tip 50 is positioned at another end of the body 20 opposite the threaded hole 21 and is made of magnetic induction material (such as: iron, copper, stainless steel, cupro-nickel).

The magnetic member 60 is detachably disposed in the receiving space 23 of the body 20 and is located between the body and the shaft 30. The magnetic member 60 can be assembled in or disassembled out of the receiving space 23 through the rotation of the shaft 30, and the indirect magnetic attraction of the magnetic member 60 makes the tip 50 produce magnetic force.

Referring to FIG. 4, the threaded hole 22 is formed in the end surface of the body 20 and located along the central axis thereof, and the magnetic member 60 is disposed in the receiving space 23 of the body 20. The indirect magnetic attraction of the magnetic member 60 makes the tip 50 produce magnetic force, plus the high permeability and the magnetic anisotropy of the tip 50 enable the tip 50 to produce axial lines of magnetic force, therefore, after being induced by the magnetic induction material of the tip 50, the lines of magnetic force of the magnetic member 60 will produce circles of lines of magnetic force (scope of emission is reduced) around the periphery of the tip 50 and the lines of indirect magnetic induction will also be concentrated around the periphery of the tip 50.

By such arrangements, the induction coils 72 in the frame 71 of the dartboard 70 can accurately induce (sense) the lines of indirect magnetic induction within a small range around the periphery of the tip 50, and can be prevented from being affected by the strong and dense lines of magnetic force of the strong magnetic member, and can prevent the induction coils 72 of different scoring areas from misjudgment.

On the other hand, if the user doesn't want to use the magnetic force of the dart, he can unscrew the shaft 30 (by unscrewing the outer threads 31 out of the inner threads 221 of the threaded hole 22), then take the magnetic member 60 out of the receiving space 23 of the body 20, and finally rescrew the shaft 30 into the body 20. At this moment, the magnetic force of the tip of the magnetic dart has disappeared, and the user can take with the dart or to take part in different types of competitions without worrying the adverse effect of the magnetic force.

In addition, the tip 50 is made of magnetic induction material (such as: iron, copper, stainless steel, cupro-nickel) without using the expensive permanent magnetic material and the permanent magnetization, therefore, the production cost is relatively low. On the other hand, the body 20 can also be made of magnetic induction material, thus enabling the lines of magnetic force of the magnetic member 60 to intensify the magnetic force transmitted to the section of the tip 50. In the tip 50 can be embedded magnetic induction material made of iron, copper, stainless steel, or cupro-nickel, it can also play the function of magnetic induction scoring.

Referring to a second embodiment as shown in FIG. 6, a threaded hole 231 is formed in the receiving space 23 of the body 20, the shaft 30 is formed with outer threads 31 for mating with the receiving space 23 of the body 20, the magnetic member 60 is formed at one end thereof with male threads 61 to be screwed in the threaded hole 231 of the body 20, and at the other end of the magnetic member 60 are formed with threads 62 for meshing with the outer threads 31 of the shaft 30.

The magnetic member 60 can act as a link between the body 20 and the shaft 30, such a design not only strengthens the structure of the dart structure, but also increases the conveniences of assembling and disassembling. Assembling the magnetic member 60 to the shaft 30 firstly, and then the magnetic member can insert 60 in the receiving space 23 of the body 20 easily.

Referring then to FIG. 7, which shows a third embodiment of the present invention, and this embodiment is similar to the previous embodiments, except that: the magnetic member 60 is designed to be protruded out of the body 20, the magnetic member 60 is used as a link between the body 20 and the shaft 30, the body 20 is not in direct contact with the shaft 30. Therefore, the user can screw the magnetic member 60 in the end of the shaft 30, and then screw the magnetic member 60 in the body 20.

Referring finally to FIG. 8, which shows a fourth embodiment of the present invention, and this embodiment is similar to the previous embodiments, wherein a threaded hole 80 is formed in the end surface of the body 20 facing the tip 50, and in the threaded hole 80 are formed inner threads 81, and in the bottom of the threaded hole 80 is defined a receiving space 82.

The tip 50 is formed with outer threads 83 to be screwed in the threaded hole 80 of the body 20.

The magnetic member 60 is detachably disposed in the receiving space 82 of the body 20, and the direct magnetic attraction of the magnetic member 60 makes the tip 50 produce magnetic force. Therefore, the position of the magnetic member 60 is not necessarily to be limited to both ends or the mid of the body 20.

In a fifth embodiment of the present invention, when the magnetic member is located between the tip and the body, the tip can be formed with outer threads located on an end thereof facing the body. The magnetic member is formed at one end thereof with male threads for meshing with the outer threads of the tip.

While we have shown and described various embodiments in accordance with the present invention, it is clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
