Quick-release device for a cylinder of a paintball gun

A quick-release device for a cylinder of a paintball gun includes a gun body, a cylinder and a clutch set. The gun body has a barrel to accommodate the cylinder therein. The barrel comprises a ring ditch, a guiding entrance and a hole at a rear end thereof. The guiding entrance connects the ring ditch to outside. The ring ditch interconnects with the hole. The clutch set is disposed in the cylinder. When the clutch set is inserted into the ring ditch from the guiding entrance, by rotating the cylinder, the clutch set will be moved to align with the hole and secured thereat to confine the movement of the cylinder.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a quick-release device for a cylinder of a paintball gun, in particular to a cylinder provided with a clutch set to engage with a barrel of a gun body, which is easy to assemble or disassemble.

2. Description of the Prior Art

A conventional paintball gun on the market uses bolts inserting through a handle to secure a cylinder to a gun body.

This design requires tools to screw the bolts for assembly or disassembly. Without tools, it cannot be operated, which is inconvenient to the user.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a quick-release device for a cylinder of a paintball gun, which can be done by bare hands to assemble or disassemble a cylinder.

It is another, object of the present invention to provide a quick-release device for a cylinder of a paintball gun, which is easy to operate by rotating the cylinder.

A preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a gun body, a cylinder and a clutch set.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the present invention; and

FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

As shown in FIG. 1, the present invention comprises a gun body 1, a cylinder 2 and a clutch set 3.

The gun body 1 comprises a barrel 11 to accommodate the cylinder 2 therein. The cylinder 2 is provided with a hammer 21. The barrel 11 comprises a ring ditch 111, a guiding entrance 112 and a hole 113 at a rear end thereof. The guiding entrance 112 connects the ring ditch 111 to outside. The ring ditch 111 interconnects with the hole 113. The guiding entrance 112 and the hole 113 are located in different positions.

The clutch set 3 is disposed in the cylinder 2 and comprises a locking element 31, an elastic element 32 and an engaging element 33. (In the drawings, the locking element is a bolt as an example.) The cylinder 2 further comprises a hole 22 to accommodate the engaging element 33, the elastic element 32 and the locking element 31 in sequence. (In the drawings, a threaded section is formed in the hole for connection of the locking element 31.) The locking element 31 is secured in the hole 22 of the cylinder 2. The elastic element 32 urges the engaging element 33 to expose outward from the hole 22.

In practice, as shown in FIG. 2, when mounting the cylinder 2 into the barrel 11, the clutch set 3 will be inserted through the guiding entrance 112 into the ring ditch 111. By rotating the cylinder 2, as shown in FIG. 3, the engaging element 33 of the clutch set 3 will be moved to align with the hole 113, and then the engaging element 33 of the clutch set 3 is engaged with the hole 113. Thus the cylinder 2 is secured thereat and is unable to move axially to detach from the barrel 11 accidentally.

To assemble or disassemble the present invention, it is simple to rotate the cylinder 2 without the necessary of hand tools.
