Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The invention relates to a container, more particularly to a container with anti-slip capability.

2. Description of the Related Art

During food processing, such as egg beating, foodstuff stirring, etc., foodstuff to be processed is usually put in a container gripped by one hand or placed on a surface for subsequent stirring operations using a stirrer. The conventional container is disadvantageous in that it has a tendency to slip during use, particularly when the container is made from a ceramic material having a very smooth surface.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a container that is capable of overcoming the aforesaid drawback associated with the prior art.

Accordingly, there is provided a container with anti-slip capability. The container comprises: a container body having a bottom wall that has an outer surface and that is formed with a bottom groove indented inwardly from the outer surface; and a flexible anti-slip member that is mounted in the bottom groove and that has an outer end face flush with the outer surface of the bottom wall of the container body.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent in the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings, of which:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of a container according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the preferred embodiment; and

FIG. 3 is a bottom view of the preferred embodiment.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the preferred embodiment of a container according to the present invention is shown to include: a container body 31 having a bottom wall 33 that has an outer surface 331 and that is formed with a bottom groove 310 indented inwardly from the outer surface 331; and a flexible anti-slip member 5 that is mounted in the bottom groove 310 and that has an outer end face 51 flush with the outer surface 331 of the bottom wall 33 of the container body 31. In this embodiment, the container is a mixing bowl having a smooth outer surface.

Referring to FIG. 2, the container body 31 further has a peripheral wall 34 extending upwardly from the bottom wall 33, and a flat hand grip 32 that extends laterally and outwardly from the peripheral wall 34 and that is formed with upper and lower grooves 320. The container further includes two flexible anti-slip pads 4 embedded in the upper and lower grooves 320, respectively.

In this embodiment, each of the flexible anti-slip pads 4 and the flexible anti-slip member 5 is made from an anti-slip material, such as soft plastic (for instance, P.V.C.), rubber, silicone, etc.

By virtue of the anti-slip pads 4 and the anti-slip member 5, the aforesaid drawback associated with the prior art can be eliminated.

While the present invention has been described in connection with what is considered the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is understood that this invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiment but is intended to cover various arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and equivalent arrangements.

Claims
