A device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly includes a frame member, a joining part and a plurality of rectifying parts. The rectifying parts are disposed between and connecting with the frame member and the joining part and provide a first passage at a lateral side thereof and a second passage at another lateral side thereof for receiving a guide flow part of the fan assembly.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to a device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly and particularly to a guide flow structure, which is capable of being joined to a fan for promoting performance of the fan.

2. Brief Description of the Related Art

Referring to FIG. 1, the conventional fan device 1 includes a fan frame 11 and a fan blade part 12. The fan frame 11 provides a joining part 13 with a plurality of rib stripes 14 connecting with the fan frame 11. A motor is disposed between the fan blade part 12 and the joining part 13 such that the fan blade part 12 is driven by the motor to rotate in the fan frame 11. However, air resistance of the rib stripes 14 is easy to cause turbulent flow while the conventional fan 1 is in a state of rotating. Under this circumference, air pressure loss is created to lower performance of the fan 1.

In order to prevent the air resistance resulting from the rib stripes 14, static blades are used instead of the rib stripes 14. Referring to FIG. 2, another conventional fan 2 includes a fan frame 21 and a plurality of movable blades 22. A connecting part 23 is provided in the fan frame 21 and a plurality of static blades 24 is joined to the connecting part 23 and the fan frame 21 respectively. A motor is disposed between the movable blades 22 and the connecting part 23 to drive the movable blades 22 such that air is induced by the rotational movable blades 22 to overcome deficiency of the turbulent flow resulting from the rib stripes 14 and promoting efficiency of the movable blades 22.

However, the preceding fan 2 with static blades 24 has the following disadvantages:

(1) The static blades 24 are unable to be added to the fan 2 unless the fan 2 is replaced with a new one.

(2) Number of the static blades 24 is unable to be changed for complying with various heat dissipating demands.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In order to solve the preceding problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly, which is set up conveniently.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly in which the number of the rectifying parts thereof can be changed in accordance with various heat dissipating demands.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 3, the first preferred embodiment of a device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly according to the present invention includes a frame member 311, a joining part 312 and a plurality of rectifying part 313. The rectifying parts 313 are disposed between the frame member 311 and the joining part 312 to connect with the frame 311 and the joining part 312 respectively. Further, the rectifying part 313 has a first passage 313a and a second passage 313b at two lateral sides thereof respectively to receive the guide flow parts 325 provided by a fan assembly 32. The fan assembly 32 further includes a fan frame 321, a fan blade part 322, a connecting part 323 and a drive part 324. The fan blade part 324 is mounted to the drive part 324 and the drive part 324 is mounted to the connecting part 323, which is joined to the fan frame 321.

When the preceding device for enhancing performance of a fan is assembled, the fixing holes 321a of the fan frame 321 align with the fixing holes 311a of the frame member 311 and the fan frame 321 is attached to the frame member 311 by means of fasteners 33 engaging with the fixing holes 321a and 311a. Meanwhile, the guide flow part 325 is received in the first passage 313a and the second passage 313b.

Referring to FIG. 4, the second embodiment of a device for enhancing performance of a fan according to present invention includes a frame member 411, a joining part 412 and a plurality of rectifying parts 413. The rectifying parts 413 are disposed between the frame member 411 and the joining part 412 to connect with the frame 411 and the joining part 412 respectively. Further, the rectifying part 413 has a first passage 413a and a second passage 413b at two lateral sides thereof respectively to receive the guide flow parts 425 provided by a fan assembly 42. The fan assembly 42 further includes a fan frame 421, a fan blade part 422, a connecting part 423 and a drive part 424. The fan blade part 424 is mounted to the drive part 424 and the drive part 424 is mounted to the connecting part 423, which is joined to the fan frame 421.

When the preceding device for enhancing performance of a fan is assembled, the fixing holes 421a of the fan frame 421 engage with the locating parts 411a of the frame member 411. Meanwhile, the guide flow part 425 is received in the first passage 413a and the second passage 413b.

Referring to FIG. 5, the third embodiment of a device for enhancing performance of a fan according to present invention includes a frame member 511, a joining part 512 and a plurality of rectifying parts 513. The rectifying parts 513 are disposed between the frame member 511 and the joining part 512 to connect with the frame 511 and the joining part 512 respectively. Further, the rectifying part 513 has a first passage 513a and a second passage 513b at two lateral sides thereof respectively to receive the guide flow parts 525 provided by a fan assembly 52. The fan assembly 52 further includes a fan frame 521, a fan blade part 522, a connecting part 523 and a drive part 524. The fan blade part 524 is mounted to the drive part 524 and the drive part 524 is mounted to the connecting part 523, which is joined to the fan frame 521.

When the preceding device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly is assembled, the fixing holes 523a of the connecting part 523 engage with the locating parts 512a of the joining part 512. Meanwhile, the guide flow part 525 is received in the first passage 513a and the second passage 513b.

Referring to FIG. 6, the fourth embodiment of a device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly according to present invention includes a frame member 611, a joining part 612 and a plurality of rectifying parts 613. The rectifying parts 613 are disposed between the frame member 611 and the joining part 612 to connect with the frame 611 and the joining part 612 respectively. Further, the rectifying part 613 has a first passage 613a and a second passage 613b at two lateral sides thereof respectively to receive the guide flow parts 625 provided by a fan assembly 62. The fan assembly 62 further includes a fan frame 621, a fan blade part 622, a connecting part 623 and a drive part 624. The fan blade part 624 is mounted to the drive part 624 and the drive part 624 is mounted to the connecting part 623, which is joined to the fan frame 621.

When the preceding device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly is assembled, the guide flow part 625 of the fan assembly 62 engage with a plurality of indentations 612a provided at the circumference of the joining part 612. Meanwhile, the guide flow part 525 is received in the first passage 513a and the second passage 513b.

It can be seen from the preceding four embodiments of the present inventions that the rectifying part (313, 413, 513, 613) extends outward the frame member (311, 411, 511, 611) and the guide flow part (325, 425, 525, 625) extends outward the fan frame (321, 421, 521, 621). It is noted that another alternative with which a different shape from the preceding embodiments is capable of being embodied.

Referring to FIG. 7, the fifth embodiment of a device for enhancing performance of a fan according to present invention includes a frame member 711, a joining part 712 and a plurality of rectifying parts 713. The rectifying parts 713 are disposed between the frame member 711 and the joining part 712 to connect with the frame 611 and the joining part 712 respectively. Further, the rectifying parts 713 have a first passage 613a and a second passage 613b at two lateral sides thereof respectively to receive the guide flow parts 725 provided by a fan assembly 72. The fan assembly 72 further includes a fan frame 721, a fan blade part 722, a connecting part 723 and a drive part 724. The fan blade part 724 is mounted to the drive part 724 and the drive part 724 is mounted to the connecting part 723, which is joined to the fan frame 721.

When the preceding device for enhancing performance of a fan is assembled, the fixing holes 721a of the fan frame 721 align with the fixing holes 711a of the frame member 711 and the fan frame 721 is attached to the frame member 711 by means of fasteners 73 engaging with the fixing holes 721a and 711a. Meanwhile, the guide flow part 725 is received in the first passage 713a and the second passage 713b.

As the foregoing, the guide flow part (325, 425, 525, 625, 725) of the fan frame (321, 421, 521, 621, 721) is received in the first passage (313a, 413a, 513a, 613a, 713a) and the second passage (313b, 413b, 513b, 613b, 713b) at two lateral sides of the rectifying part (313, 413, 513, 613, 713) such that the rectifying parts (313, 413, 513, 613, 713) are capable of increasing the number of the guide flow part (325, 425, 525, 625, 725) and the integral performance of the fan assembly is promoted immediately.

It is appreciated that the present invention has the following advantages:

(1) The device for enhancing performance of the fan assembly according to the present invention can be detachably added to the fan assembly to meet different needs for heat dissipation.

(2) The device for enhancing performance of the fan assembly according to the present invention is detachably joined to the fan assembly such that it is operated conveniently and disassembled speedily.

(3) The device for enhancing performance of the fan assembly according to the present invention is capable of promoting performance such as increasing air pressure and enhancing effect of heat dissipation.

(4) The device for enhancing performance of the fan assembly according to the present invention is capable of enhancing the effect of guiding airflow without changing the original structure of the device.

While the invention has been described with referencing to preferred embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly, comprising:

a frame member;
a joining part; and
a plurality of rectifying parts, being disposed between and connecting with the frame member and the joining part, providing a first passage at a lateral side thereof and a second passage at another lateral side thereof for receiving a guide flow part of the fan assembly;
wherein, the fan assembly provides a fan frame, a fan blade set, a connecting part and a drive part with the fan blade set being attached to the drive part and the drive part being joined to the connecting part.

2. The device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly as defined in claim 1, wherein the frame member and the fan frame provide fixing holes for the frame member and the fan frame being joined to each other by means of fasteners engaging with the fixing holes.

The device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly as defined in claim 1, wherein the frame member provides locating parts and the fan frame provides fixing holes corresponding to the locating parts such that the frame member and fan frame are joined to each other by way of the locating parts fitting with the fixing holes.

The device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly as defined in claim 1, wherein the connecting part provides locating parts and the joining part provides fixing holes corresponding to the locating parts such that the fan frame and the frame member are joined to each other by means of the locating parts fitting with the fixing holes.

5. The device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly as defined in claim 1, wherein the connecting part provides a plurality of indentations at the circumferential edge thereof for being attached to the guide flow part such that the frame member and the fan frame being joined to each other.

6. The device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly as defined in claim 1, wherein the rectifying parts extend outward the frame member.

7. The device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly as defined in claim 1, wherein the guide flow part extends outward the fan frame.

8. The device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly as defined in claim 1, wherein the guide flow part is flush with the frame member.

9. The device for enhancing performance of a fan assembly as defined in claim 1, wherein the guide flow part is flush with the fan frame.
