Hoody hood sweatshirt

Abstract

A Sweatshirt made with two hoods, one in the back and the other in the front. The front hood is made out of a 100% fleece polyester material which covers the majority of your face leaving an opening only for the eyes, nose, mouth and part of the jaw. It covers both sides of the face including the ears, chin, forehead and top of the head. It has a double fleece binding material attached by a single stitch to create the face opening. The two hoods are connected by a single stitch. The front hood has two button fasteners sewn at the bottom. They attach to the button wholes in the front part of the sweatshirt. The button fasteners allow you to fasten the hood down when being worn or detach the hood from the head entirely when not being worn. The front hood when not being worn lays flat across the back hood and covers the back portion of the neck keeping it warm. The bottom portion of the front hood is surrounded by a double fleece binding material to stop from stretching out of place. The hoody hood is used to protect the wearer from inclement weather but unlike any other hooded sweatshirt it cannot be used as a mask to prevent a crime.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to double hooded garments for use against inclement weather.

1. Background of the Invention

The invention is a head and face protected garment for use against cold weather such as ski-mask, pullover sweatshirts, and toboggans.

2. Reference to Prior Art

Their has been a variety of hooded garments or head gear made to protect an individual from inclement weather but they all have either been to tight on the head, uncomfortable when worn for extended periods of time, unremovable, too heavy, having irritating material, too many gadgets attached, too many drawstrings, not versatile enough, being used for the wrong purpose, or not protecting enough of the head, face, ears, neck, chin and jaws. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 5,845,340 Have masks that cover the entire face except for the eyes, nose and mouth which criminals use to commit crimes, etc. The mask is also secured to the said hood by objects that could be dangerous to the face such as interlocking hooks, loop members, snap members, rivet members, and zipper members. The mask is also detachable when not in use. Many mask are not sealed properly allow cold air to still penetrate and have inconvenient fasteners attached. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 5,713,077 The face mask has an upper edge sewn to the hood interior and a lower edge having VELCRO strips wherein the front portion of the hood contains a rolled-up face mask with the hood pocket formed in the hood to selectively receive the face mask when face mask is not in use with a top edge of the protective face mask being attached to the interior of the hood pocket. Many masks fit to tight to the head and can cause the wearer to become dizzy over a long period of time. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 4,610,247 The ski mask comprises a cold weather protective hood adapted to fit over the wearer's head, and having eye and mouth openings, a breathing apparatus secured within said hood and comprising a hood of air permeable flexible material with an inner and an outer surface and having a closed upper end and an open lower end adapted to fit tight over the wearer's head. For example U.S. Pat. No. 4,300,240 having a mask member made of a thin rubber cloth type material, which is sized and shaped to fit the face. The said mask member is unitarily formed with a nose piece. For example U.S. Pat. No. 4,141,086 having a mask with form fitting flexible material encircling and covering the head, neck and partial shoulder area of said person, the material around said neck area being capable of stretching over said head and snugly constricting around said neck, said material having a formed slot located at the eyes of said person, goggles attached to said material around the periphery of said slot. For example U.S. Pat. No. 5,809,572 The face mask being molded from a single piece of multiple layer stitch-less and seamless material so as to substantially conform to the contours so as to provide an enhanced fit of the face mask to a wearer's face. For example U.S. Pat. No. 5,575,009 The face mask and hood combination is characterized by an elastic support strap which is releasable secured to at least one side of the mask and is trained through a retainer loop on the back of the hood so that the fit of the mask on the wearer's face may be adjusted to increase or decrease the snugness and to accommodate a range of sizes and shapes of facial features in the nose, mouth and chin area. Many hoods have standard openings for the face (eyes, nose and mouth) or too many fasteners to make them work appropriately and become time consuming for the wearer. For example U.S. Pat. No. 6,397,395 The face mask again is formed to cover the entire face having an opening only for the eyes, nose and mouth and having a horizontal slit across the storable mask separating the storable mask into a bottom portion and a top portion and comprises of storable goggles, also having fasteners to button up the neck, fasteners to connect the bottom and top portions of the storable mask, fasteners to store the mask when not being worn. Time is also taken out to place the storable mask in the storage compartment. The storable mask is comprised of a selective one of cotton and wool which can also irritate the face. The mask, when being worn hangs loose at a point below the jaw-line of the wearer. Many masks are detachable and are neither versatile enough nor convenient. Because they have to be stored away until they are in use again. For example U.S. Pat. No. 4,941,211 The face mask includes a unitary first piece which has openings for the individual's eyes, nose, and mouth, and a second piece is secured to the first piece and is adapted to cover the individual's nose. The mask is made of a stretchable polyester material to conform to the head of an individual wearer to an area beneath the chin. When the mask is not in use it is stored away in a designated area for the user.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The object of the invention is to provide a double hooded sweatshirt with a face opening to protect the wearer against inclement weather. A hood with few or no gadgets attached, a hood that is convenient when needed for use, a hood that is multipurpose, a hood that will stay in place when being worn, a hood with easy access, which does not conform or fit snug to the head of the wearer but it is rather comfortable when worn for a long period of time and covers the main areas of the wearer such as the ears, head, forehead, chin, neck, both sides of the face including some of the jaw bone and the upper chest area.

The invention also provides washable material that want shrink a 100% fleece polyester material which keeps the wearers skin warm and moisturized in cold weather.

The invention further provides protection for the back of the neck even when the hood is not being worn.

Other features of the invention is illustrated in the detailed description of the drawings, its construction and operation, and many of the advantages will become appreciated and understood to those who are skilled in art upon review.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

FIG. 1 illustrates a right side view of the double hooded sweatshirt when being worn by the wearer. The inner hood 100 is made out of a 100% fleece polyester material it is sewn into the lining of hooded sweatshirt 104 by a single stitch 101 It covers the majority of your face leaving an opening created by the double fleece binding material 102 attached by a single stitch to the inner hood creating the face opening for the eyes, nose, mouth and part of the jaw. FIG. 1 also gives a good illustration of inner hood button fastner 103 being fasten to the hooded garment 104 to stabilize the hood.

FIG. 2 illustrates a right side view of the double hooded sweatshirt when being worn by the wearer. It also gives a good perspective of the inner hood 100 being sewn into the hooded sweatshirt 104 by a single stitch 101.

FIG. 3 illustrates a rear view of the double hooded sweatshirt when being worn by the wearer. The inner hood is sewn into the back hood 104 by a single stitch 101 starting from the right side of the shoulder over the head to the left side.

FIG. 4 illustrates a front view of the double hooded sweatshirt when being worn by the wearer. Clearly shown is the face opening 105 for the eyes, nose and mouth created by the double fleece binding material 102 which is attached by a single stitch to the inner hood 100 stopping the fleece from stretching and allowing for a comfortable fit. Also shown are the button fasteners 103 being fastened to the hooded sweatshirt 104 to stabilize the hood.

FIG. 5 illustrates a front view of the double hooded sweatshirt when being worn by the wearer. It also gives a good perspective of the face opening 105 for the eyes, nose and mouth. The button fasteners 103 again are shown being fastened to the hooded sweatshirt 104 to stabilize the hood.

FIG. 6 illustrates a right side view of the double hooded sweatshirt when not being worn by the wearer. The inner hood 100 in this illustration is shown being folded down over the hooded sweatshirt 104 with the double fleece binding material 106 surrounding the edge to keep the material from stretching out of place.

FIG. 7 illustrates a top view of the double hooded sweatshirt when being worn by the wearer. It gives a better perspective than FIGS. 1-6. In this illustration a top view of the inner hood 100 is shown being sewn 101 into the hooded sweatshirt 104 while the back hood portion is being pulled back. This illustration shows a very nice view of the fleece binding material 102 surrounding the inner hood 100. Also shown in this figure is a clear picture of the button fasten 103 being fasten to the hooded sweatshirt 104.

FIG. 8 illustrates a rear view of the double hooded sweatshirt when not being worn by the wearer. As previously stated in FIG. 6 the inner hood 100 in this illustration is shown being folded down over the hooded sweatshirt 104 with the double fleece binding material 106 surrounding the edge to keep the material from stretching out of place.

FIG. 9 illustrates a side view of the double hooded sweatshirt when not being worn by the wearer. This illustration gives a better perspective than FIG. 6 & FIG. 7. It clearly show the inner hood 100 being folded down over the hooded sweatshirt 104 with the double fleece binding material 106 surrounding the edge to keep the material from stretching.

Claims

1. A double hooded sweatshirt with two button holes and fasteners located in the front of the sweatshirt above the pectoral muscle area comprising of a hooded sweatshirt with an inner hood ski-mask opening allowing the front portion of the face to still be shown, it is made out of 100% fleece polyester material with two buttons being attached at the bottom of the material one on the left and right side which allows the inner hood to be fasten down when being worn, also consisting of a double fleece binding material that makes cold weather in-penetrable, enabling the entire head to be covered an allowing visibility only for the eyes, nose, mouth and some of the jaw bone, the inner hood when not being worn folds down behind the back of the neck over the other hood allowing the trade mark to be displayed and the fleece material to hang loose.

2. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the hood when not being worn can be folded back and removed from the head entirely by the detaching the two buttons in the front part of the sweatshirt.

3. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the hood when being worn always allows the entire front portion of the face to be shown.

4. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the hoods are sewn with one single stitch connecting them together.

5. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the inner hood when being worn covers and protects the ears, head, forehead, chin, neck, both sides of the face including some of the jaw bone and the upper chest area.

A. The bottom of the inner hood is surrounded by fleece binding material laying flat across the upper chest area.

The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the inner hood has two button attachments sewn on at the bottom of the hood that fastens through the button holes located in the front part of the sweatshirt above the pectoral muscles which allows the inner hood to be fasten down and to stay in place.

The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the inner hood in made out of a 100% fleece polyester material with pleats or dots in the top portion of the hood allowing a very loose comfortable fit unlike any tight fitting ski-mask where your head movement may be limited or toboggan where you may become dizzy over a long period of time, also limiting your head movement.

8. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the inner hood has a face opening that is made with the outline of a soft double fleece binding material protecting the face and stopping the fleece material from stretching out of place.

9. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 8, whereas the inner hood on this particular figure is 20 inches in length, 18 inches in width and the face opening is 16 inches in diameter. The size may very pending on the individual.

10. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 7, whereas the inner hood when not being worn folds down on the back hood covering the back portion of the neck and giving the individual a unique style of wear.

11. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 8, whereas the inner hood is made out of a 100% fleece polyester material, comes in a variety of different colors.

12. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the inner hood when being worn helps keep your face, neck, head and ears warm and moisturized at an outdoor event for a long period of time in winter like weather

13. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the hooded sweatshirt has pockets for the hands centered in the lower front part of the sweat shirt.

14. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the hooded sweatshirt can be worn in the spring, fall or winter because of the versatility of the hooded garment enabling you to remove the hood from the head.

15. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1 whereas the inner hood when laid flat out on a table has the shape of a chocolate covered cherry or bell.

16. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 5, whereas the inner hood when being worn allows the front portion of the face to be shown, which prevents criminals from using this hood to commit a crime or robbery.

17. The double hooded sweatshirt as set forth in claim 1, whereas the back hood comes with two draw strings allowing only the back hood to be tighten or loosen.
