Lacrosse stick having enhanced holding effect

A lacrosse stick includes a handle, a head mounted on a front end of the handle, a pocket mounted on the head, and a grip mounted on a rear end of the handle. Thus, the handle has a surface provided with a helical holding face to increase the friction between the surface of the handle and a user's one hand so as to provide an enhanced holding effect to facilitate the user holding the handle so that the user holds the handle closely without incurring slip from the handle. In addition, the helical holding face increases the strength of the surface of the handle so that the handle has a reinforced strength to prevent the handle from being bent or cracked by hit.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a lacrosse stick and, more particularly, to a lacrosse stick having an enhanced holding effect.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional lacrosse stick 1 in accordance with the prior art shown in FIGS. 4-6 comprises a handle 11, a head 15 mounted on the front end of the handle 11, a pocket 12 mounted on the head 15, and a grip 13 mounted on the rear end of the handle 11. The handle 11 has a polygonal cross-sectional profile as shown in FIG. 6. The handle 11 has a hollow structure and is made by an aluminum extruding process to reduce the weight of the lacrosse stick 1.

However, the handle 11 has a hollow structure to reduce the strength of the handle 11 so that the handle 11 is easily bent or cracked by hit. In addition, when the handle 11 is bent or recessed by hit, the user cannot rotate the handle 11 exactly, thereby affecting the user controlling the handle 11. Further, when the thickness of the handle 11 is increased to increase the strength of the handle 11, the weight of the handle 11 is also increased, thereby causing a burden to the user. Further, the handle 11 has a smooth surface so that holds the user cannot hold the handle closely, thereby easily incurring slip from the handle.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a lacrosse stick, comprising a handle having a surface provided with a helical holding face.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a lacrosse stick having an enhanced holding effect to facilitate a user holding the lacrosse stick.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a lacrosse stick, wherein the handle has a surface provided with a helical holding face to increase the friction between the surface of the handle and a user's one hand so as to provide an enhanced holding effect to facilitate the user holding the handle so that the user holds the handle closely without incurring slip from the handle.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a lacrosse stick, wherein the handle has a surface provided with a helical holding face to increase the strength of the surface of the handle so that the handle has a reinforced strength to prevent the handle from being bent or cracked by hit.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a lacrosse stick, wherein the handle has a reinforced strength, so that the thickness of the handle can be reduced to reduce the weight of the handle so that the handle has a lighter weight.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a partially cut-away perspective view of a lacrosse stick in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a top plan cross-sectional view of the lacrosse stick as shown in FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 is a top plan cross-sectional view of a lacrosse stick in accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a conventional lacrosse stick in accordance with the prior art.

FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a handle of the conventional lacrosse stick as shown in FIG. 4.

FIG. 6 is a top plan cross-sectional view of the handle of the conventional lacrosse stick as shown in FIG. 5.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1 and 2, a lacrosse stick in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a handle 21 having a surface provided with a helical holding face 22, a head (not shown) mounted on a front end of the handle 21, a pocket (not shown) mounted on the head, and a grip (not shown) mounted on a rear end of the handle 21.

The handle 21 has a hollow structure and is made by an aluminum extruding process. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the handle 21 has a substantially circular tubular cross-sectional profile as shown in FIG. 2. In addition, the helical holding face 22 has a helical angle that is changeable according to a strength requirement of the surface of the handle 21. In addition, the helical holding face 22 has a helical density that is changeable according to a strength requirement of the surface of the handle 21.

In such a manner, the handle 21 has a surface provided with a helical holding face 22 to increase the friction between the surface of the handle 21 and a user's one hand so as to provide an enhanced holding effect to facilitate the user holding the handle 21 so that the user holds the handle 21 closely without incurring slip from the handle 21. In addition, the handle 21 has a surface provided with a helical holding face 22 to increase the strength of the surface of the handle 21 so that the handle 21 has a reinforced strength to prevent the handle 21 from being bent or cracked by hit. Further, the handle 21 has a reinforced strength, so that the thickness of the handle 21 can be reduced to reduce the weight of the handle 21 so that the handle 21 has a lighter weight.

As shown in FIG. 3, the handle 21 has a substantially oblong tubular cross-sectional profile.

Accordingly, the handle has a surface provided with a helical holding face to increase the friction between the surface of the handle and a user's one hand so as to provide an enhanced holding effect to facilitate the user holding the handle so that the user holds the handle closely without incurring slip from the handle. In addition, the handle has a surface provided with a helical holding face to increase the strength of the surface of the handle so that the handle has a reinforced strength to prevent the handle from being bent or cracked by hit. Further, the handle has a reinforced strength, so that the thickness of the handle can be reduced to reduce the weight of the handle so that the handle has a lighter weight.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
