Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Accessories for the cigarette smoker have been prevalent in many forms for years. Each accessory previously offered has it own unique features and advantages. Still, with the number of smokers on the planet, further unique smoking accessories are welcomed. The separation of cigarettes from their lighter is a concern for cigarette smokers. The designs of various means of combining cigarettes in proximity to a lighter have yet to offer the advantages offered by the present invention. Additionally, alternative embodiments of the present invention offer more than one solution to the above problem, while at the same time offering other desirable features.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to cigarettes and cigarette lighters and more specifically to a cigarette smoker's accessory that comprises a cigarette case with lighter and pen.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The general purpose of the cigarette smoker's accessory, described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a cigarette smoker's accessory which has many novel features that result in an improved cigarette smoker's accessory which is not anticipated, rendered obvious, suggested, or even implied by prior art, either alone or in combination thereof.

To accomplish this, the invention comprises a four-in-one case that stores and protects a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, and a pen. The invention comprises a durable, heat-resistant plastic that is sized to house a standard pack of cigarettes. The case opens at the top to accommodate cigarettes packaged in a hard pack. the invention, in another example, features a split, hinged lid for soft pack cigarettes. The side of the case features an ovular cylinder that is sized to accommodate a standard disposable lighter. Such disposable lighters are well known in the art. An indentation in the lighter cylinder provides for removable storage of a specialized ball point pen. An alternate example of the invention does not include the full cigarette case.

The alternate example features a metal clip that provides for the lighter cylinder to be removably attached to any cigarette package, pocket, or other object.

The invention prevents separation of cigarettes and lighter, while also providing the usefulness of the specialized pen. The specialized pen is comparatively short and features a removable top that pushes onto the bottom of the pen for greater length and comfort in pen use. Additionally, both examples of the invention feature flame retardant components, excluding the pen and lighter, so that a cigarette can be lit without any disassembly of the combined components.

Thus has been broadly outlined the more important features of the cigarette smoker's accessory so that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated.

Numerous objects, features and advantages of the cigarette smoker's accessory will be readily apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art upon reading the following detailed description of presently preferred, but nonetheless illustrative, examples of the cigarette smoker's accessory when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Referring first to FIGS. 4-7, the preferred example of the invention 10 comprises, in combination, a parallelepiped case 40, a cylinder 12, a pen 30, and a disposable lighter 60. The preferred example of the case 40 comprises a large lid 44 and a small lid 42. An additional example of the case 40 comprises one full lid 46. The case 40 removably houses a pack of cigarettes 70. The case 40 has a bottom, two spaced apart sides, and two spaced apart ends. An open-topped ovular cylinder 12 is affixed to one end of the case 40. The cylinder 12 has two opposite long sides and two opposite short sides. The disposable lighter 60 is removably fitted within the cylinder 12. The reinforcement 13 is between the case 40 and the cylinder 12. The indention 14 is between the cylinder 12 and the reinforcement 13. The pen well 16 is disposed at the bottom of the indention 14. The case 40, cylinder 12, reinforcement 13, indention 14, and pen well 16 are preferably comprised of a fire retardant material. The pen 30 removably fits within the indention 14 and pen well 16 via an interference fit. The pen 30 has a pen body 32, a top end, and a bottom end. The removable cap 34 for the pen has a nipple 36 on top of the cap 34. The nipple 36 provides for improved grip of the cap 34.

Referring to FIGS. 1, 2, and 3, the alternate more basic example of the invention 10 comprises a smoker's accessory, in combination, an open-topped ovular cylinder 12. The cylinder 12 has two opposite long sides and two opposite short sides. The disposable lighter 60 is removably fitted within the cylinder 12. The clip 18 is disposed on one short side of the cylinder 12. The clip 18 comprises a riser 20 protruding from the top of the cylinder 12. A bend 22 is disposed at the top of the riser 20. The descending fastener 24 extends downwardly from the bend 22. The clip 18 thereby clips to a cigarette pack 80 of cigarettes 70. The reinforcement 13 is disposed between the clip 18 and the cylinder 12. The indention 14 is between the cylinder 12 and the reinforcement 13. The pen well 16 is at the bottom of the indention 14. The pen 30 removably inserts within the pen well 16. The pen 30 has a pen body 32, a top end and a bottom end.

Referring to FIGS. 8 and 9, the pen 30 further comprises a cap plug 38 on the bottom end of the pen 30. The cap plug 38 is for the removable receipt of the pen cap 34. The pen cap 34 further comprises a nipple 36 for improved grasp.
