Trophy display medium, method, and kit

A trophy display medium displays multiple simplistic trophies such as pins; medals, badges, and the like, each of each essentially comprise an anterior trophy surface, a posterior trophy surface, and a maximal frontal trophy area. The trophy display medium comprises an anterior medium surface, a posterior medium surface, a frontal medium outline, and a medium thickness. The anterior medium surface comprises a surface area bound by the frontal medium outline and a plurality of trophy-receiving cavities. The cavities each comprise a maximal frontal cavity area, a maximal cavity depth, and a trophy-retaining surface. The maximal cavity depth is lesser in magnitude than the medium thickness. The trophy-retaining surfaces function to removably receive the posterior trophy surfaces such that the anterior trophy surfaces are anteriorly viewable adjacent the cavities.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention generally relates to a structure for displaying simplistic trophies adjacent a vertical support structure. More particularly, the present invention relates to a trophy display medium, method and kit for enabling a user to removably mount trophies in a single trophy-themed medium for trophy display and trophy inspection.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Deer hunting is ancient. Modern day deer hunters often receive state-sponsored trophy pins or buttons and the like when a deer kill is achieved, which trophies function to further reinforce the thrill of actually securing a kill. Hunting seasons are separated by time, however, and thus hunters accumulate trophies from year to year or from season to season. Trophies of this type often find homes in drawers and are otherwise forgotten. In this regard, it would seem the prior art perceives a need for a trophy display medium for displaying simplistic trophies of the type prefatorily described as a means to enable the recipients to provide onlookers or passersby with a glimpse at the trophy-recipient's collective achievements. It is noted that the prior art teaches a number of devices for displaying simplistic articles. Several of the more pertinent prior art disclosures relating to article display boards and the like are briefly described hereinafter.

U.S. Pat. No. 279,268 ('268 patent), which issued to Norris in 1883, discloses an Educational Map. The '269 patent teaches an educational map provided with indicia of localities and constructed with cavities for receiving blocks or labels of corresponding shape, bearing the name of several localities.

U.S. Pat. No. 2,139,150 ('150 patent), which issued to Curtis et al., discloses a Display Board. The '150 patent teaches a display board having an opening therethrough, and a pair of transparent members slightly larger than the opening adapted to springably fit therein in spaced relation to each other whereby an article may be disposed between the two transparent members for display on its opposite sides.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,032,790 ('790 patent), which issued to Soutchkov et al., discloses a Device for Holding Coins. The '790 patent teaches a device for holding a plurality of coins having outer sheets including at least one outer layer composed of transparent material, an intermediate layer arranged between the two outer sheets provided with a plurality of throughgoing openings for insertion of coins, and a unit for connecting the sheets with one another long edges of the sheets.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,988,366 ('366 patent) and U.S. Pat. No. 6,554,130 ('130 patent), both of which issued to Krull et al., disclose certain Coin Display Methods and Apparatus. The disclosures teach a set of coins arranged relative to a display having discrete regions associated with discrete coins within the set. In certain preferred embodiments, the display is a map, and an opening is provided within the borders of or proximate to each state on the map in order to receive a respective coin.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,604,627 ('627 patent), which issued to Kennedy, discloses a Coin Display Device and Indexing Method. The '627 patent teaches a device in the form of a map of the United States to display a set of commemorative coins in relation to state geographic regions associated with the coins. A color-coded indexing system is set forth in a chart which associates the date of issuance of the coins, the chronology of issuance according to order of statehood, and the geographic state region represented by the coin.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,644,468 ('468 patent), which issued to Delk, Sr., discloses an H & D Easy Coin and Currency Display. The '468 patent teaches a kit for holding and displaying coins and paper money. Each sheet for holding coins has two overlying clear vinyl sheets and a third backing sheet. The front sheet has a slit used to insert or remove a coin and is formed in the cover sheet to retain a coin. Behind the clear cover sheet is a display page sheet with indicia thereon that when properly aligned with the cover sheet displays information relating to the coins. The display page for paper money has sheets for holding the paper money and flaps with snap fit seals to protect the paper money.

It will be seen from an inspection of the above-referenced patents and other relevant prior art known to exist that the prior art does not teach a trophy display medium and kit for enabling a user thereof to removably mount simplistic trophies in grouped relation adjacent a select vertical support structure. The prior art perceives a need for a trophy display medium for displaying simplistic trophies of the type prefatorily described as a means to enable the recipients to provide onlookers or passersby with a glimpse at the trophy-recipient's collective achievements, whereby passersby may manually remove the displayed trophies for quick inspection and manually replace the inspected trophy for further display.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

To achieve the foregoing and other readily apparent objectives, the present invention provides a trophy display medium for displaying multiple simplistic trophies such as pins, medals, badges, and the like, each of each essentially comprise an anterior trophy surface, a posterior trophy surface, and a maximal frontal trophy area. The trophy display medium comprises an anterior medium surface, a posterior medium surface, a frontal medium outline, and a medium thickness. The anterior medium surface comprises a surface area bound by the frontal medium outline and a plurality of trophy-receiving cavities. The cavities each comprise a maximal frontal cavity area, a maximal cavity depth, and a trophy-retaining surface. The maximal cavity depth is lesser in magnitude than the medium thickness. The trophy-retaining surfaces function to removably receive the posterior trophy surfaces such that the anterior trophy surfaces are anteriorly viewable adjacent the cavities.

Other objects of the present invention, as well as particular features elements, and advantages thereof, will be elucidated or become apparent from, the following description and the accompanying drawing figures.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT(S)

Referring now to the drawings, the preferred embodiment of the present invention concerns a trophy display medium 10 as generally illustrated and referenced in FIGS. 1, 2, 4, and 10. The trophy display medium 10 is preferably constructed from workable wood, such as plywood sheeting, or similar other workable medium, such as gypsum sheeting, plasterboard or plastic sheeting. The trophy display medium essentially functions to removably receive and display a plurality of trophies 20 as received in certain trophy-receiving recesses or cavities 30 formed in the trophy display medium 10. A multiplicity of cavities 30 are illustrated and referenced in FIG. 1 and a single cavity 30 is referenced in each of FIGS. 3-3(b), 5, 6, and 10. Certain of the removably receivable trophies 20 usable in combination with the trophy display medium 10 are illustrated and referenced in FIGS. 7-7(b). It is contemplated that the trophies 20 or collectable memorials mountable and displayable by the present invention preferably comprise certain simplistic structure, such as buttons, badges, medals, tokens, and the like, all of which may preferably further comprise certain simplistic geometric configurations. Essentially, a trophy 20 usable in combination with the present invention preferably comprises an anterior trophy surface 21, a posterior trophy surface 22, and a maximal frontal (cross-sectional-type) trophy area 23 as further referenced in FIGS. 7-7(b). It will be seen from an inspection of the noted figures that the maximal frontal trophy areas 23 are preferably spatially located intermediate the anterior trophy surfaces 21 and the posterior trophy surfaces 23.

The trophy display medium 10 preferably comprises an anterior medium surface 11 as illustrated and referenced in FIGS. 1, 3-7(b), 9, and 10; a posterior medium surface 12 as illustrated and referenced in FIGS. 2-7(b); a post-form periphery or frontal medium outline 13 (preferably resembling a trophy-related theme, such as the State of Illinois—a state in which certain deer kill trophies or buttons are issued to hunters who successfully secure a deer kill) as illustrated and referenced in FIGS. 1, 2, 9, and 10; and a medium thickness 14 as generally referenced in FIGS. 3-7(b). It will be understood from a consideration of the noted figures that the anterior medium surface 11 inherently has or comprises a certain surface area as bound by the frontal medium outline 13 in which is formed a plurality of maximally and substantially equally spaced trophy-receiving cavities 30. The posterior medium surface 12 preferably comprises certain structure-attaching means for removably attaching the trophy display medium 10 to a vertical support structure, such as a wall, post, or similar other display backdrop. The structure-attaching means may preferably be defined by common picture-hanging hardware such as picture-hanging wire 42 (as referenced in FIG. 2) or similar other hardware.

The cavities 30 each preferably comprise a maximal frontal cavity area 31 as generally referenced at the outer perimeter thereof in FIGS. 1, 3-3(b), 5-7(b), and 10; a maximal cavity depth as generally depicted in the cross-sectional views shown in FIGS. 3-3(b), and 5-7(b); and a trophy-retaining surface 32 as specifically referenced in FIGS. 1, and 3-3(b), 5, and 6. It will be noted from an inspection of the noted figures that the maximal cavity depth is preferably lesser in magnitude than the medium thickness 14. In other words, in order to provide trophy-retaining surfaces 32, it is necessary that the cavities 30 do not extend through trophy display medium 10 from anterior medium surface 11 to posterior trophy surface 12. The trophy-retaining surfaces 32 function to removably receive the posterior trophy surfaces 22 such that the anterior trophy surfaces 21 of the trophies 20 are anteriorly viewable adjacent the cavities 30 and thus, the trophy display medium 10 may well function to potentially display multiple trophies 20 of the type herein specified.

Preferably the maximal frontal cavity areas 31 (as referenced at the outer perimeter thereof in the noted figures) are substantially uniformly sized and shaped. In other words, it is contemplated that the cavities 30 are all similarly sized and shaped. In this regard, it is contemplated that the cavities 30 having maximal frontal cavity areas 31 function to preferably receive substantially uniformly sized and shaped trophies 20, all of which would necessarily comprise uniformly sized and shaped maximal frontal trophy areas 23. For example, it is contemplated that all of the trophies 20 may comprise circular button or badge-type trophies as generally depicted in the noted figures and given a generally circular configuration or shape, all exemplary trophies may further preferably comprise a substantially uniform diameter or size, as would be the case, for example, if the user were a deer hunter collecting deer kill trophies from year to year in the State of Illinois. The deer kill buttons, issued in the State of Illinois, for example, are all circular and of a uniform diameter from year to year and from deer kill to deer kill.

Notably, it will be further seen that the maximal frontal cavity areas 31 are preferably of a somewhat larger magnitude (or greater diameter) than the maximal frontal trophy areas 23 so as to “loosely” receive the maximal frontal trophy areas 23 as specifically depicted in FIGS. 7-7(b). In this regard, it is preferred that the maximal frontal trophy areas 23 be of a lesser magnitude than the maximal frontal cavity areas 31 so that the user may manually (in other words, with one's fingers) remove the trophy 20 from the cavity 30 for inspection or the like, and manually replace the trophy 20 into the cavity 30 for further display. Thus, it may be said that the maximal frontal cavity areas 31 are preferably sized and shaped for “loosely” receiving the maximal frontal trophy areas 23 for enabling the user to manually remove the trophies 20 for inspection and manually replace the trophies 20 for display. It should be noted that the posterior trophy surfaces 22 are not loosely received, but rather are securely or fixedly held unless and until the user elects to remove the trophy 20 for inspection. In other words, the outer dimension or periphery of the trophies 20 as viewed from an extreme anterior perspective preferably does not otherwise engage the cavities 30. This design choice allows the user to manually remove the trophies 20 if he or she so elects by grasping the outer rim of the trophy 20 (via the gap between the trophy 20 and the cavity 30) and exerting a net force upon the trophy 20 directed generally toward the user away from the anterior medium surface 11 so as to remove the trophy 20 from mounted display within the cavity 30.

Given the preferred design choice of having the maximal frontal trophy areas 23 loosely received by the maximal frontal cavity areas 31, it is necessary for the trophy-retaining surfaces 32 to comprise certain selective trophy-retaining means. In this regard, it is contemplated that certain hook and loop fastening means (such as VELCRO brand hook and loop fastening structure) may be cooperatively associated with a given posterior trophy surface 22 and a given trophy-receiving surface 32 as a means to enable the user to selectively remove trophies 20 for inspection and replace trophies 20 for display at the cavity structure. Cooperatively matable hook and loop type fastening structure is depicted in FIGS. 7-7(b), 10, and 11 at 40 for the readers' inspection. FIGS. 7-7(b) depict the matable hook and loop fastening structure in functional use and FIGS. 10 and 11 depict the matable hook and loop fastening structure in a functional pre-use state. The selective trophy-retaining means may thus be said to be cooperatively associated with or cooperable with the trophy-retaining surfaces 32 and posterior trophy surfaces 22 for enabling the user to selectively remove the trophies 20 for inspection and for enabling the user to selectively replace the trophies 20 for display. It is further contemplated that certain magnetic means or certain adhesive attachment means could be substituted for the hook and look fastening structure as may be required by the trophy and may thus further define the trophy-retaining means.

It will be noted from a comparative inspection of the FIGS. 3-3(b) versus FIGS. 7-7(b) that the trophy-retaining surfaces 32 may further comprise certain concavity or certain convexity for receiving posterior trophy surfaces 22 of various configurations. In other words, the trophy-retaining surfaces 32 need not be substantially planar, and indeed, should not be planar if the posterior trophy surfaces 22 of the given trophy population comprise certain concavity or certain convexity relative to the cavities 30. FIGS. 3(a) and 7(a), for example, depict trophy-retaining surfaces 32 for receiving trophies 20 having concave posterior trophy surfaces 22 (for example, a button). Conversely, FIGS. 3(b) and 7(b) depict trophy-retaining surfaces 32 for receiving trophies 20 having convex posterior trophy surfaces 22 (for example, a spherical object such as a prize golf ball 41). It is thus contemplated that the trophy-retaining surfaces 32 may be formed for cooperatively receiving posterior trophy surfaces 22 of any geometrical configuration and in this regard, may be said to further define the selective trophy-retaining means. Preferably, however, the trophy-retaining surfaces 32 are substantially uniformly shaped for receiving substantially uniformly shaped posterior trophy surfaces 22. Further, the trophy-receiving surfaces 32 preferably receive the posterior trophy surfaces 22 such that the anterior trophy surfaces 21 are spatially located in adjacency to the anterior medium surface 11 external to the cavities 30 as generally depicted in FIGS. 7-7(b).

It is further contemplated that the cavities 30 are preferably maximally and substantially equally spaced from one another intermediate the frontal medium outline 13. Certain methodology may preferably be followed to achieve a maximally and substantially equally spaced cavity formation, which methodology essentially begins by identifying a target trophy population. Once the target trophy population is identified, and a trophy display medium 10 is provided, the user will have an idea as to the total area that will be consumed by the maximal frontal trophy areas 23 (divided by however many units) as well as the total surface area of the anterior medium surface 11. These figures as well as the trophy-themed frontal medium outline 13 may be considered by certain means (for example, certain proprietary software) for locating and maximally spacing the cavities 30 that are to be formed in the trophy display medium 10. In any event, the maximal frontal trophy areas 23 may be tabulated and pre-positioned into a cavity-spacing arrangement before forming the cavities 30. The cavity-spacing arrangement functions to maximize and substantially equally space the maximal frontal trophy areas 23 within the surface area of the anterior medium surface 11.

It is further contemplated that the present invention may be provided to users in the form of a packaged trophy display kit 50 as generally illustrated and referenced in FIG. 11. The trophy display kit 50 as provided in a box 51 or similar other packaging structure functions to enabling a user to construct a trophy display structure, akin to trophy display medium 10 for displaying multiple trophies 20 substantially as earlier specified. The trophy display kit 50 preferably comprises a trophy display medium 60 as illustrated and referenced in FIGS. 8, 9, and 11; certain outline-forming means; and certain cavity-forming means. The trophy display medium 60 differs from trophy display medium 10 in that trophy display medium 60 preferably comprises anterior medium surface 11, posterior medium surface 12, a medium thickness 14, and a pre-formed medium periphery 61 as illustrated and referenced in FIG. 8-11. In other words, it is contemplated that the kit may include a sheet of formable material comprising the types of materials earlier specified for use in the construction of trophy display medium 10. A blank sheet may then be worked into a trophy-themed configuration per the user's election.

In this last regard, it is contemplated that the kit may preferably include certain outline-forming means such as a trophy-themed template or outlining aid 62 (comprising cardboard, paper, or similar other low cost, discardable material component) as illustrated and referenced in FIGS. 8 and 11. The trophy-themed template 62 may thus be positioned upon the trophy display medium 60 intermediate the pre-formed medium periphery 61 and outlined with a marking implement 63 as generally depicted in FIG. 8. The trophy-themed template 62 may then be removed for exposing a trophy-themed or frontal medium outline 64 as referenced in broken lines in FIG. 9. Notably, the template 62 could be positioned adjacent either the anterior medium surface 11 or the posterior medium surface 12 for providing an outlining aid. The assembler may then remove the pre-formed medium periphery 61 (for example, with a saw 66 as generically depicted in FIG. 9) from the trophy display medium 60 to form a post-form periphery 65 akin to frontal medium outline 13 as generally depicted in FIG. 10.

Certain cavity-forming means as further included in the kit are thus engageable with the trophy display medium at the anterior medium surface intermediate the post-form periphery for forming a plurality of trophy-receiving cavities 30. In this regard, for ease of illustration, a wood-routing bit 67 has been illustrated for making circular trophy-receiving cavities 30 (the power tool required to drive the wood-routing bit 67 has not been specifically illustrated). Similar other type bits or similar other cavity-forming means may also be included in the kit depending on the configurations taught by the target trophy population. Notably, from an inspection of FIG. 11, the trophy display kit may thus comprise trophy display medium 60, a trophy-themed template 62 or similar other outline-forming means, a marking implement 63, a cutting implement such as a saw 66, certain trophy-retaining means such as matable hook and loop fastening structure 40, certain cavity-forming means such as at least one wood-routing bit 67, and certain structure-attaching means such as picture-hanging wire 42 or similar other hardware.

While the foregoing descriptions set forth much specificity, the same should not be construed as limiting the essence of the present invention, but rather as setting forth the preferred means for displaying a plurality of simplistic trophies adjacent a select vertical support structure. For example, it is believed that the sprit of the present invention teaches an trophy display medium that may well function to display trophies having circular, rectangular (square), or triangular frontal cross-sections as comparatively seen from an inspection of FIGS. 5-7. Further, the invention teaches a trophy display medium that functions to display trophies of various three-dimensional shapes, such as spherical, planar, or concave/convex configurations. The trophy-related themes of the frontal medium outline(s) need not be state-shaped (or hunting-related), but may be other sport-related (such as football or track-based themes), academia-related (book-shaped), or work-related. Further, it is notable that dimensions have been omitted from the foregoing specifications as relative sizing is more important to the function of the invention as opposed to actual sizing. Accordingly, although the invention has been described by reference to a preferred embodiment, it is not intended that the novel disclosure be limited thereby, but that modifications thereof are intended to be included as falling within the broad scope and spirit of the foregoing disclosure, the following claims and the appended drawings.

Claims

1. A trophy display medium, the trophy display medium for grouped display of multiple trophies, the trophies each comprising an anterior trophy surface, a posterior trophy surface, and a maximal frontal trophy area, the maximal frontal trophy areas being spatially located intermediate the anterior trophy surfaces and the posterior trophy surfaces, the trophy display medium comprising an anterior medium surface, a posterior medium surface, a frontal medium outline, and a medium thickness, the anterior medium surface comprising a surface area bound by the frontal medium outline and a plurality of trophy-receiving cavities, the cavities each comprising a maximal frontal cavity area, a maximal cavity depth, and a trophy-retaining surface, the maximal cavity depth being lesser in magnitude than the medium thickness, the trophy-retaining surfaces for removably receiving the posterior trophy surfaces such that the anterior trophy surfaces are anteriorly viewable adjacent the cavities, the trophy display medium thus for group display of multiple trophies.

2. The trophy display medium of claim 1 wherein the maximal frontal cavity areas are substantially uniformly sized and shaped, the maximal frontal cavity areas for receiving substantially uniformly sized and shaped maximal frontal trophy areas.

3. The trophy display medium of claim 2 wherein the trophy-retaining surfaces are substantially uniformly shaped for receiving substantially uniformly shaped posterior trophy surfaces.

4. The trophy display medium of claim 3 comprising selective trophy-retaining means, the selective trophy-retaining means being cooperatively associated with the trophy-retaining surfaces and posterior trophy surfaces for enabling a user to selectively remove the trophies for inspection and for enabling the user to selectively replace the trophies for display.

5. The trophy display medium of claim 4 wherein the maximal frontal cavity areas are sized and shaped for loosely receiving the maximal frontal trophy areas, the maximal frontal cavity areas for enabling a user to manually remove the trophies for inspection and manually replace the trophies for display.

6. The trophy display medium of claim 5 wherein the trophy-receiving surfaces receive the posterior trophy surfaces such that the anterior trophy surfaces are spatially located in adjacency to the anterior medium surface external to the cavities.

7. The trophy display medium of claim 6 wherein the frontal medium outline resembles a trophy-related theme.

8. The trophy display medium of claim 7 wherein the posterior medium surface comprises structure-attaching means, the structure-attaching means for removably attaching the trophy display medium to a vertical support structure.

9. The trophy display medium of claim 1 wherein the cavities are maximally and substantially equally spaced from one another intermediate the frontal medium outline.

10. A trophy display kit, the trophy display kit for enabling a user to construct a trophy display structure, the trophy display structure for displaying multiple trophies, the trophies each comprising an anterior trophy surface, a posterior trophy surface, and a maximal frontal trophy area, the maximal frontal trophy areas being spatially located intermediate the anterior trophy surfaces and the posterior trophy surfaces, the trophy display kit comprising:

a trophy display medium, the trophy display medium comprising an anterior medium surface, a posterior medium surface, a pre-formed medium periphery, and a medium thickness;
outline-forming means, the outline-forming means being cooperable with the trophy display medium intermediate the pre-formed medium periphery for enabling a user to mark a frontal medium outline upon a select medium surface, the select medium surface being selected from the group consisting of the anterior medium surface and the posterior medium surface, the frontal medium outline for enabling a user to remove the pre-formed medium periphery from the trophy display medium to form a post-form periphery, the post-form periphery resembling a trophy-related theme; and
cavity-forming means, the cavity forming means being engageable with the trophy display medium at the anterior medium surface intermediate the post-form periphery for forming a plurality of trophy-receiving cavities, the cavities each comprising a maximal frontal cavity area, a maximal cavity depth, and a trophy-retaining surface, the maximal cavity depth being lesser in magnitude than the medium, the trophy-retaining surfaces for removably receiving the posterior trophy surfaces such that the anterior trophy surfaces are anteriorly viewable adjacent the cavities, the trophy display kit for enabling the user to construct a trophy display structure.

11. The trophy display kit of claim 10 wherein the maximal frontal cavity areas are uniformly sizeable and shapeable, the maximal frontal cavity areas for receiving substantially uniformly sized and shaped maximal frontal trophy areas.

12. The trophy display kit of claim 11 wherein the trophy-retaining surfaces are substantially uniformly shapeable for receiving substantially uniformly shaped posterior trophy surfaces.

13. The trophy display kit of claim 12 comprising selective trophy-retaining means, the selective trophy-retaining means being cooperable with the trophy-retaining surfaces and the posterior trophy surfaces for enabling the user to selectively remove the trophies for inspection and for enabling the user to selectively replace the trophies for display.

14. The trophy display kit of claim 13 wherein the maximal frontal cavity areas are sizeable and shapeable for loosely receiving the maximal frontal trophy areas, the maximal frontal cavity areas for enabling a user to manually remove the trophies for inspection and manually replace the trophies for display.

15. The trophy display kit of claim 14 wherein the trophy-receiving surfaces are formable to receive the posterior trophy surfaces such that the anterior trophy surfaces are spatially positionable in adjacency to the anterior medium surface external to the cavities.

16. The trophy display kit of claim 15 comprising structure-attachment means, the structure-attaching means being cooperable with the posterior medium surface for enabling the user to removably attach the trophy display medium to a vertical support structure.

17. A method for removably mounting multiple trophies for display, the method comprising the steps of:

identifying a target trophy population, the target trophy population comprising a plurality of trophies, the trophies each comprising an anterior trophy surface, a posterior trophy surface, and a maximal frontal trophy area, the maximal frontal trophy areas;
providing a trophy display medium, the trophy display medium comprising an anterior medium surface, a posterior medium surface, a frontal medium outline, and a medium thickness, the anterior medium surface having a surface area bound by the frontal medium outline, the maximal frontal trophy areas being spaceable within the surface area; and
forming a plurality of cavities in the trophy display medium via the anterior medium surface intermediate the frontal medium outline, the cavities being maximally and substantially equally spaced from one another, the cavities each comprising a maximal frontal cavity area, a maximal cavity depth, and a trophy-retaining surface, the maximal cavity depth being lesser in magnitude than the medium thickness, the trophy-retaining surfaces for removably receiving the posterior trophy surfaces.

18. The method of claim 17 wherein the maximal frontal trophy areas are tabulated and pre-positioned into a cavity-spacing arrangement before forming the plurality of cavities, the cavity-spacing arrangement for maximizing and substantially equally spacing the maximal frontal trophy areas within the surface area.

19. The method of claim 17 wherein at least two trophies are removably received in select cavities after forming the plurality of cavities, the select cavities being pre-selected from the group consisting of the plurality of cavities, the anterior trophy surfaces of at least two trophies being viewable adjacent the select cavities.

20. The method of claim 17 wherein the maximal frontal cavity areas are sized and shaped for loosely receiving the maximal frontal trophy areas, the maximal frontal cavity areas enabling the user to manually remove the trophies for inspection and manually replace the trophies for display.
