Bladder structure of a football
A football bladder includes an oval body and multiple ribs formed on an outer periphery of the oval body. After a skin is attached to the outer periphery of the oval body, protruding strips are formed on an outer periphery of the skin.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a bladder structure, and more particularly to a bladder structure of a football.
2. Description of the Prior Art
In order to have a firm grip to a football, beside the provision of the seam on an outer periphery of the football, protruding ribs are also formed on the outer periphery of the football. However, due to frequent friction with the ground surface, a height of the protruding ribs is gradually reduced, which results in that the football is ended up in the landfill.
To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide an improved bladder structure to mitigate the aforementioned problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe primary objective of the present invention is to provide an improved bladder having thereon protruding ribs on an outer periphery of the bladder such that after the skins are firmly attached to the bladder, protruding strips are formed on an outer periphery of the football.
Another objective of the present invention is that a void is defined in a mediate portion of the bladder so that after the skins are attached to the bladder, the seam is able to be formed on the void.
Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
With reference to
The ribs (11) on two opposite ends of the body (10) are annular in shape so that each of the ribs (11) on two ends of the body (10) surrounds the outer periphery of the body (10). A void (12) is defined in a central mediate portion of the body (10), which terminates the continuity of the ribs (11).

It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
Claims
1. A football bladder comprising:
- an oval body; and
- multiple ribs formed on an outer periphery of the oval body,
- whereby after a skin is attached to the outer periphery of the oval body to enclose the ribs, multiple protruding strips are formed on an outer periphery of the skin.
2. The football bladder as claimed in claim 1, wherein the ribs on two ends of the oval body are annular so as to surround the outer periphery of the oval body.
3. The football bladder as claimed in claim 2, wherein a void is defined in a central mediate portion of the oval body so that a seam is able to be formed on the void after the skin is attached to the outer periphery of the oval body.
