Description

The fabric used in making dick's gun scarf is a blaze orange polyester fleece. Each scarf is cut 60 inches long and 15 inches wide. Bring the raw edges together and stitch the side and bottom with a one quarter inch seam. Trim the bottom corner with a diagonal cut, so when turned the right side of the corner will look square. Do not cut into the stitched seam on the open end (top of scarf). Make sure seams are open and lying flat. Fold over one quarter inch and press (this is the hem). Then fold over one inch (this is the pocket for the drawstring ). Stitch on the hem line, then turn right side out, cut two small slits (one on each side of seam) on the outside layer only and run the drawstring thru the pocket. Stitch on open edge. Knot each end of the drawstring and now you have a warm scarf that can be used for a legal gun case that will fit most rifles, shotguns, and muzzle loaders with or without a scope.
