Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a fencing device, and more particularly to a fencing device which can be folded and unfolded conveniently.

2. Description of the Related Art

A main purpose of fences is to surround children or ovens to prevent children from going around or from contacting with the ovens.

In a conventional fencing device, particularly intended for small children, a spring is pressed via a pin being pulled so that a first and a second hinge portions can be separated from each other. Hence, the first hinge portion can be rotated relative to the second hinge portion to adjust the fencing device.

Disadvantages of the conventional fence device are described as follows:

1. The first and the second hinge portions are easy to collide when being adjusted.

2. The first and the second hinge portions must be separated from each other completely when adjusting the conventional fencing device thereby causing inconvenience.

Therefore, the invention provides a fencing device to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a fencing device which is easy to be folded and unfolded.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIGS. 1-4, a first preferred embodiment of a fencing device in accordance with the present invention comprises at least a first fence (10), at least a second fence (20) adjacent to the first fences (10) and at least one positioning device.

Each first fence (10) has a lower block (11), an upper block (12), a lower collar (31) and an upper collar (32). The lower block (11) and the upper block (12) are respectively provided on a lower end and an upper end of the first fence (10). The lower block (11) has a first cone-shaped chamber (111) defined in an upper end thereof, and the upper block (12) has a second cone-shaped chamber (121) defined in a lower end thereof. A symbol (122) is provided on the upper block (12) to indicate angle adjustment between the adjacent first fence (10) and second fence (20).

Each second fence (20) comprises a lower ear (21) and an upper ear (22) respectively provided on a lower end and an upper end thereof The lower ear (21) and the upper ear (22) respectively have multiple evenly-spaced slots (23) longitudinally defined on an outer wall thereof. The upper ear (22) has an indicator (224) and multiple first skewed surfaces (221). The indicator (224) is formed on the upper ear (22) to indicate that the first fence (10) is locked to the corresponding second fence (20). Each first skewed surface (221), which has a first uppermost end (222) and a first lowermost end (223), is provided in an inner wall of the upper ear (22). The lower ear (21) has a notch (211) defined therein and a guiding groove (212) defined in an upper end of the lower ear (21) and extending from an inner wall to an outer wall of the lower ear (21). The notch (211) communicates with the guiding groove (212).

A lower cap (33), which is made of rubber or plastic, is integrally formed at a lower end of the lower collar (31) while an upper cap (34), having the same material as the lower cap (33), is integrally formed at an upper end of the upper collar (32). Multiple first even-spaced stripes (35) are longitudinally provided in an inner wall of the lower collar (33) and multiple second even- spaced stripes (36) are longitudinally provided in an inner wall of the upper collar (32). The slots (23) on the ears (21,22) are respectively mated with the first even-spaced stripes (35) and the second even-spaced stripes (36).

At least one positioning device is mounted between each pair of adjacent first fence (10) and second fence (20) and each comprises a washer (30), a seat (40), and a barrel (50)

The washer (30) is provided under the lower block (11) wherein the upper collar (32) is provided under the second cone-shaped chamber (121) of the upper block (12). The upper cover (34) is held inside and contacted with the second cone-shaped chamber (121) to enhance the friction between them. The lower collar (31) is mounted under the lower ear (32) while the upper collar (32) is mounted above the upper ear (22).

The barrel-like seat (40) is attached to the upper ear (22) and has a mark (401) to indicate that the first fence (10) is securely fastened to the second fence (20). A head (41) is mounted on an upper end of the seat (40) and is attached to the upper ear (22). Multiple second skewed surfaces (42) are respectively formed in an inner wall of the head (41) and each have a second uppermost end (421) and a second lowermost end (422). A lower end of the seat (40) is hollow and a through hole (43) is radially defined through the seat (40). A coil spring (44) is mounted inside the seat (40).

The hollow barrel (50) has a slot (51) longitudinally defined near an upper end of the barrel (50), and a plug (52) mounted at the upper end. The upper end of the barrel (50) is inserted into and held inside the seat (40) and a lower end of the barrel (50) is positioned in the notch (211). The plug (52) is contacted with a lower end of the coil spring (44).

A pin (60) is transversely inserted into the through hole (43) and the slot (51) in turn so that the barrel (50) can only move upwards or downwards along the seat (40).

With reference to FIGS. 1 and 4, when the first lowermost surface (223) is engaged with the first uppermost surface (421), the upper cover (34) is pressed against the upper ear (22) with the biasing force provided by the coil spring (44) while the lower cover (33) is pressed against the lower ear (21). Hence, the first fence (10) is fastened to the second fence (20).

With reference to FIGS. 5 and 6, the seat (40) is rotated relative to the upper ear (22) manually so that the first uppermost end (421) is engaged with the second uppermost end (222) and the first lowermost end (422) is engaged with the second lowermost end (223). Hence, the coil spring (40) resumes an original status so that the first fence (10) can be folded relative to the second fence (20) to occupy little space for storage.

With reference to FIGS. 1, 7-9 and in a second preferred embodiment of a fencing device in accordance with the present invention, the fencing device is similar to the first preferred embodiment except that an upper block (12A) has multiple even-spaced teeth (12B) formed around an inner wall of the upper block (12A). An upper ear (22A) is integrally formed on the upper collar (32) and have multiple teeth (22B) formed at a periphery of the upper ear (22A). The teeth (12B) are respectively mated with the teeth (22B) to fasten the upper block (12A) to the upper ear (22A).

With reference to FIG. 10, the present invention is encircled to form a hexagon so that children can stay in the present invention to be protected.

It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only. Changes may be made in details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
