Smoking table for supporting water pipes

Abstract

A smoking table for supporting water pipes on a floor surface includes a hollowed support frame with an interior chamber to receive the water pipe and a pipe support device to steady the water pipe therein. The support frame includes horizontally disposed top and bottom panels interconnected in a vertically spaced orientation by a plurality of upright panels disposed in a pinwheel configuration. The top, bottom, and upright panels are of rectangular shape and define the interior pipe chamber and four ancillary areas. The top panel has the upper pipe hole sized to receive the base of the water pipe with an elongate neck extending upwardly therethrough. The pipe support device includes a pair of slide panels slidably guided juxtaposed the top panel by a plurality of guide members. Each slide panel has a semi-circular edge hole and a handle for gripping in-hand to manually move the slide panel to an open position to pass the water pipe and a closed position forming a neck retaining hole to laterally retain the neck of the water pipe. A plurality of drawers, shelves, and/or doors are connected to the support frame at the ancillary areas which may include personal smoking accessories. The support frame is rollably supported on the floor surface using a plurality of wheeled casters.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field

The present invention generally relates to furniture and accessories used during tobacco smoking, and more specifically to furniture such as tables, tobacco storage devices, pipe stands, ash trays, and the like designed for use during smoking of pipes and cigars, and for use with smoking accessories.

2. State of the Art

Water pipes for smoking tobacco have been used for many years, particularly in middle eastern countries, to provide a more pleasurable smoking experience. One such type of water pipe, commonly known as a hooka, includes an elongate tubular body and a flexible tube assembly for inhaling tobacco smoke. The body includes an tobacco bowl for burning, an organic substance such as tobacco or herb leaves, an elongate body with a middle section having a water chamber formed therein and an upwardly dependent outlet stem for inhaling tobacco smoke, all supported on a base for placement on a support surface. A tube assembly includes a flexible tube connected at one end to the outlet stem and at another end to a curved mouthpiece for inhaling tobacco smoke. The outlet stem extends into water contained in the water chamber thereof. The tobacco or herb leaves burned in the tobacco bowl may be in dried leaf form or in the more traditional form of a paste over which burning charcoal is applied to aid in burning of the paste. The smoke passes through the water contained within the water chamber prior to being inhaled by a smoker through the mouthpiece. Undesirable smoke byproducts such as tar, oil, ashes, carbon monoxide, and the like are absorbed or separated out by the water within the water chamber. Also, undesirable excess moisture in the smoke is condensed out in the outlet stem and flexible tube to produce a desirable smoke that is cool and dry.

A major problem encountered by water pipe smokers is an inherent instability of such water pipes due to their tall slender design and consequently high center of gravity. Tipping often causes the water contained within the water chamber to spill which can smell and cause staining of floor coverings such as carpeting due to the tar, oil, ashes, carbon monoxide, and the like absorbed by the water.

Various water pipes have been patented which attempt to prevent tipping and/or prevent spilling of the water upon tipping. For example, in U.S. Pat. No. 4,170,237 issued to Epstein on Oct. 9, 1979 is disclosed a water pipe which prevents water spillage. The water pipe includes a first elongate tube having a central water chamber formed therein containing water to filter smoke passed therethrough. A secondary tube extends into the water chamber and terminates below the water level. A bowl for burning tobacco or herb leaves is affixed to an upper end of the secondary tube. A valve device is affixed within the first tube above the water level in the water chamber designed to prevent spilling of the water from the first tube if the water pipe is accidently tipped over.

In U.S. Pat. No. 5,967,147 issued to Newman on Oct. 19, 1999 is disclosed a valved stem device for use on a water pipes. The valved stem includes an elongate tubular stem having a first end for mechanically connecting to a pipe bowl of the water pipe and a second end for disposing within a central water chamber of the water pipe. The second end has a retaining device with a floating ball disposed therein that can freely travel within the retaining structure to function as a ball valve. The floating ball is in a closed, water-tight position due to buoyancy thereof when not being forced to an open position by a smoker drawing smoke from a mouthpiece of the water pipe. When the drawing of smoke by the smoker ceases, the buoyancy of the floating ball causes reclosing thereof. Inadvertently tipping the water pipe does not cause the floating ball to move away from the closed position to prevent spilling of the water from the water pipe.

While these prior art water pipes which attempt to prevent tipping and/or prevent spilling of the water upon tipping are generally adequate for the purposes intended, they have significant shortcomings. Firstly, they do not prevent tipping over of the water pipe. Secondly, they may not effectively prevent spilling of water therefrom upon tipping. Thirdly, they tend to inhibit the flow of smoke therethrough causing more difficult inhalation of smoke. Fourthly, they are available only in a limited number of designs and styles.

There is a need for a support device for use with water pipes that solves the above-enumerated problems with water pipes. Additionally, the support device should provide additional improvements. Firstly, it should be usable with a wide variety of water pipes. Secondly, it should provide storage for items used during pipe smoking such as tobacco or herb leaves, used coals, drinks, and the like. Thirdly, it should be relatively portable for transport to various smoking locations. Fourthly, it should have space saving characteristics and be unabtrusive when not in use. Fifthly, it should have a look that is aesthetically pleasing furniture and blend in with furniture in the smoking area.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is a smoking table for supporting water pipes on a floor surface. The smoking table includes a hollowed support frame which defines an interior chamber adapted to receive the water pipe therein. A base of the water pipe is supported on a bottom interior surface of the support frame and an elongated neck thereof extends through an upper pipe hole of the support frame. The smoking table preferably has a pipe support device adapted to support the water pipe within the interior chamber.

In a first preferred smoking table, the support frame includes respective horizontally disposed top and bottom panels interconnected in a vertically spaced orientation by a plurality of upright panels all of substantially rectangular shape. The upright panels are disposed in a pinwheel configuration which define the interior pipe chamber therebetween with the base thereof supported on the bottom interior surface of the support frame provided by the bottom panel. The upright panel also define four ancillary areas. The top panel has the upper pipe hole centrally disposed therethrough sized to receive the base of the water pipe therethrough for top loading of the water pipe into the interior pipe chamber with an elongate neck thereof extending therethrough.

The pipe support device comprises a sliding panel assembly is adapted to support the water pipe within the interior chamber comprised of a pair of the slide panels each having a semi-circular edge hole. The slide panels comprise respective half panels each substantially equal in area and shape to one-half of a total area of a top surface of the top panel. A handle is affixed to each sliding panel for gripping in-hand to manually move the sliding panel. The slide panels are slidably guided juxtaposed the top panel by a plurality of guide members. The slide panels have an open position to pass the water pipe into and out of the interior chamber and slide together to a closed position to retain the water pipe within the interior chamber by forming a neck retaining hole of smaller size than the upper pipe hole to closely receive and laterally retain the neck of the water pipe.

At least one additional device is provided for each ancillary area which is operatively connected to the support frame such as a drawer, a shelf, a door, or a personal smoking accessory. The drawer includes respective front and rear panels interconnected by an exterior side panel. The drawer is slidably connected to the support frame disposed within one of the ancillary areas using a guide device which comprises the upright panels and respective outer guide members adapted to slidably engage opposite sides of the drawer. The drawer has one or more additional sub-devices such as a sub-drawer, a sub-shelf, a sub-door, an interior panel with at least one drawer-receiving hole through which the sub-drawer is closely slidably received, or a drawer support panel. The shelf is affixed to the upright panels. The door includes one or more door panels pivotally or slidably connected along at least one edge thereof to the support frame. The edge is vertically disposed such that the door pivots horizontally. The panels of the door which includes a pair of the door panels affixed together at respective of the edges at an acute angle are interconnected by one or more shelf panels. The personal smoking accessory includes a hollowed body with a top opening and at least one support member. The shelf has an accessory hole adapted to closely receive the body therein supported by the support member.

A personal smoking accessory includes a hollowed body with a top opening and one or more support members. The additional device includes a horizontally disposed panel with an accessory hole adapted to closely receive the body therein supported by the support member.

The support frame is rollably supported on the floor surface using a plurality of wheel device, of a type chosen such as all non-swiveling, all swiveling, or a combination thereof.

In a second preferred smoking table, the support frame includes the horizontally disposed top and bottom panels interconnected in the vertically spaced orientation by the plurality of upright panels disposed in the pinwheel configuration which define the interior chamber and four ancillary areas. The pipe support device is the top panel with the upper pipe hole centrally disposed therethrough sized to closely receive the neck of the water pipe therethrough to provide lateral support thereto.

The support frame is of a pipe loading configuration chosen of side loading or bottom loading. The support frame of the side loading type having the upper pipe hole comprised of an open-ended slot that merges with a vertical pipe-receiving opening including through one of the upright panels to pass the water pipe into and out of the interior chamber for side loading thereof. The pipe support device of the smoking table with the support frame of the bottom loading type has a slide panel slidably guided juxtaposed the bottom panel by a plurality of guide members to selectively cover a lower pipe hole of the support frame that vertically corresponds with the upper pipe hole. The lower pipe hole is sized to receive the base of the water pipe therethrough. The slide panel has an open position to pass the water pipe into and out of the interior chamber for bottom loading thereof and a closed position to provide the bottom interior surface to retain the water pipe within the interior chamber.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ILLUSTRATED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIG. 1, therein is shown a first embodiment smoking table of the present invention, designated generally at 10, for supporting a water pipe such as a traditional middle eastern water pipe 12 on a floor surface 14. The smoking table 10 is designed to securely hold the water pipe 12 to prevent breakage thereof from falling or being knocked down onto the floor surface 14. The smoking table 10 is small enough to be easily portable such as fitting in the trunk of an automobile (not shown) to transport where needed.

As shown in FIG. 3, the water pipe 12 is of conventional design which includes an elongate upright body 16 and a flexible tube assembly 18. The body 16 includes a tobacco bowl 20 and an ash flange 22 supported on an elongate neck 24, and a middle section 26 having a water chamber 27 formed therein and an upwardly dependent outlet stem 28 all supported on an enlarged base 30. The tube assembly 18 includes a flexible tube 32 having a proximal end 34 connected to the outlet stent 28 and a distal end 36 connected to a curved mouthpiece 38 for inhaling tobacco smoke.

Referring to FIGS. 1-3, the smoking table 10 includes a hollowed support frame 40 which defines an interior chamber 42 to receive the water pipe 12 therein with the base 30 thereof supported on a interior bottom surface 44 of the support frame 40 and the elongate neck 24 thereof extending through an upper pipe hole 46 sized to receive the base 30 therethrough for top loading of the water pipe 12 into the interior chamber 42 of the support frame 40. The support frame 40 includes a horizontally disposed top panel 48 of square shape with the upper pipe hole 46 centrally disposed therethrough. A horizontally disposed bottom panel 50 also of square shape has the interior bottom surface 44 to support the water pipe 12 which is interconnected in a vertically spaced orientation with the top panel 48 by a plurality of upright panels 52 which define the interior chamber 42 therebetween. The upright panels 52 are disposed in a pinwheel configuration defining additionally to the interior chamber 42 four ancillary areas 54. A plurality of outer drawer guide panels 56 of a drawer guide device 58 which include the upright panels 52 (as inner drawer guide panels) are affixed to the bottom panel 50. The top panel 48, the bottom panel 50, the upright panels 52, and the outer drawer guide panels 56 are all of rectangular shape.

The smoking table 10 including the support frame 40, as well as those embodiments which follow, are made of a suitably rigid sheet material used to build furniture such as solid wood, pressed wood or particle board overlaid with a natural or simulated wood veneer, plastic, or metal. The sheet material may be stained, painted, or molded in any desired color. The sheet material is adhesively and/or mechanically fastened together using screws or nails. Hinges and handles which follow are made of suitable materials such as plastic, metal, or the like.

The support frame 40, as well as those embodiments which follow, may be designed such that the smoking table 10 is a height “H” which is convenient for the size of the water pipe 12 and the surrounding furniture (not shown). The height “H” is typically similar to that of a conventional end table or coffee table of about twenty to thirty-six inches. At this height, furniture such as chair; can be positioned around the smoking table 10 for smokers to sit on during smoking or they can sit directly on the floor surface 14. The top panel 48 and the remainder of support frame 40 can be made to any desired dimensions preferably small enough to allow easy transport of the smoking table 10.

The smoking table 10 includes a pipe support device in the form of a sliding top assembly 60 to support the water pipe 12 within the interior chamber 42. The sliding top assembly 60 includes a pair of slide panels 62 slidably disposed above the top panel 48 each including a half panel 64 having a semi-circular edge hole 66 and a pair of guide members 68 of L-shaped or F-shaped cross-section affixed to the top panel 48 to guide the slide panels 62. The half panels 64 are each typically approximately equal in area and shape to one-half of the top panel 48. The slide panels 62 have an open position to pass the water pipe 12 into and out of the interior chamber 42 through the upper pipe hole 46 (FIG. 3). The slide panels 62 slide together in a closed position to form a retaining hole 70 of smaller size than the upper pipe hole 46 to closely receive and laterally retain the neck 24 and support the water pipe 12 (FIG. 1). A handle 72 is affixed to each half panel 64 for gripping in-hand to manually move the slide panel 62. A locking device (not shown) may be utilized to secure the slide panels 62 together in the closed position with or without the use of a combination or key lock for added pipe security. The slide panels 62 can be used to support snacks, drinks or other smoking-related items.

The support frame 40 is rollably supported on the floor surface 14, preferably swivelably, using a plurality of wheel devices in the form of swivel casters 74 each of which includes amounting, plate 76 and a floor-contacting roller 78 retained in a fork or roller shield 80 connected to the mounting plate 76 through a swivel bearing 82. The mounting plate 76 is secured to the bottom panel 50 of support frame 40 using a plurality of screws 84 that extend through respective holes 86 of the mounting plate 76. The casters 74 may all be of a swiveling type shown, all of a non-swiveling type, or a combination thereof depending on the user's needs.

The smoking table 10 includes additional devices in the form of a plurality of shelf drawers 88 and tray drawers 90 slidably connected to the support frame 40 disposed within the ancillary areas 54. The drawers 88 and 90 are slidably connected to the support frame 40 using the drawer guide device 58 which comprises the upright panels 52 (as inner drawer guide panels) and the outer drawer guide panels 56 to slidably engage opposite sides of the drawers 88 and 90. A plurality of locking devices (not shown) may be utilized to secure the drawers 88 and 90 to the support frame 40 in a closed position with or without the use of a combination or key lock for added security.

The shelf drawers 88 each include a front panel 92 and a rear panel 94 interconnected by a side or exterior panel 96 and a plurality of horizontally disposed shelves 98. A handle 100 is affixed to each front panel 92 for gripping in-hand to manually move the shelf drawers 88.

The tray drawers 90 each include a main drawer 102, a pair of sub-drawers 104 to hold smoking tobacco or herbs (not shown) prior to smoking which slidably connect to the main drawer 102, and a pair of personal smoking accessories in the form of a tray 106 to hold coals produced from smoking the water pipe 12 and a cup holder 108 to hold a drink (not shown) such as a can of beer or glass of wine. Each main drawer 102 includes a front panel 110 and a rear panel 112 interconnected by an interior side panel 114, an exterior side panel 116, a horizontally disposed top panel 118, and a drawer support panel 120. The top panel 118 and drawer support panel 120 interconnect the front panel 110, the rear panel 112, the interior side panel 114, and the exterior side panel 116. The drawer support panel 120 is disposed below the sub-drawers 104 to provide slidable support thereto. The interior side panel 114 has a pair of drawer-receiving holes 122 of rectangular shape through which the sub-drawers 104 are closely slidably received. The top panel 118 has a pair of rectangular accessory holes including a tray hole 124 to receive the tray 106 and a circular cup holder hole 126 to receive the cup holder 108. A handle 128 is affixed to each front panel 110 for gripping in-hand to manually move the tray drawers 90. The sub-drawers 104 are of rectangular configuration each including a front panel 130 and a rear panel 132 interconnected by a pair of side panels 134 and a bottom panel 136. A recessed handle 138 is affixed within a recess 140 to each front panel 110 for gripping in-hand to manually move the tray drawers 90.

The tray 106 includes a hollowed body 142 with a top opening 144 of rectangular configuration which is sized to closely fit through the tray hole 124 through the top panel 118 of the main drawer 102 comprised of a rectangular bottom wall 146 and a plurality of upright rectangular side walls 148 and 150. A support member in the form of a dependent upper lip 152 extends horizontally outwardly from the body 142 at the top opening 144 which engages and sets atop the top panel 118 of the main drawer 102 to support the body 142 within the tray hole 124. The tray 106 is made of stamped sheet metal or other fireproof material if used to contain hot ashes or coals, or other suitable material such as plastic or composite materials if not used to contain ashes or coals.

The area of the main drawer 102 and the support frame 40 around the tray 106 may be coated or lined with metal foil or other fireproof material to further reduce the chance of a fire breaking out. The cup holder 108 includes a body 154 with a top opening 156 of cylindrical configuration which is sized to closely fit through the cup holder hole 126 through the top panel 118 of the main drawer 102 comprised of a circular bottom wall 158 and an upright side wall 160 of circular cross-section. A support member in the form of a dependent upper lip 162 extends horizontally outwardly from body 154 at the top opening 156 which engages and sets atop the top panel 118 of the main drawer 102 to support the body 154 within the cup holder hole 126. The cup holder 108 is made of a suitable plastic or metal material.

Referring to FIG. 4, therein is shown a second embodiment smoking table 164 which includes a hollowed support frame 166 of similar design to support frame 40 which defines an interior chamber 168 to receive the water pipe 12 therein with the elongate neck 24 thereof extending through an upper pipe hole 170 of the support frame 166. The support frame 166 includes a horizontally disposed top panel 172 of square shape with the upper pipe hole 170 centrally disposed therethrough sized to closely receive and laterally retain the neck 24 of the water pipe 12 to provide support thereto. A horizontally disposed bottom panel 174 also of square shape has a lower pipe hole 176 centrally disposed therethrough that vertically corresponds with the upper pipe hole 170 and is sized to receive the base 30 of the water pipe 12 therethrough for bottom loading of the water pipe 12 into the interior chamber 168. This arrangement is primarily used for more permanent or secure installation of the water pipe 12 within the smoking table 164 since lifting thereof is required. This is useful in commercial pipe-smoking settings where pipe security is required. The top and bottom panels 172 and 174 are interconnected in a vertically spaced orientation by a plurality of upright panels 178 which define the interior chamber 168 therebetween. The upright panels 178 are disposed in the pinwheel configuration defining the interior chamber 168 and four ancillary areas 180. The top panel 172, the bottom panel 174, and the upright panels 178 are all of rectangular shape.

The smoking table 164 includes a pipe support device 182 comprised of the upper pipe hole 170, the lower pipe hole 176, and a sliding bottom assembly 184 to support the water pipe 12 within 15 the interior chamber 168. The sliding bottom assembly 184 includes a slide panel 186 slidably disposed below the bottom panel 174 to selectively cover the lower pipe hole 176 of the bottom panel 174 and a pair of guide members 188 of Z-shaped cross-section affixed to the bottom panel 174 to guide the slide panel 186. The slide panel 186 has an open position to pass the water pipe 12 including base 30 into and out of the interior chamber 168 through the lower pipe hole 176 (FIG. 3). The slide panel 186 slides to a closed position covering the lower pipe hole 176 providing an interior bottom surface 190 to retain and support the water pipe 12 within the interior chamber 168. A handle 192 may be affixed to the slide panel 186 for gripping in-hand for manually moving thereof. A locking device (not shown) may be utilized to secure the slide panel 186 to the support frame 166 in the closed position with or without the use of a combination or key lock for added pipe security.

The support frame 166 is rollably supported on the floor surface 14, preferably swivelably, using the plurality of the swivel casters 74 each of which includes the mounting plate 76 and the floor-contacting roller 78 retained in the roller shield 80 connected to the mounting plate 76 through the swivel bearing 82. The mounting plate 76 is secured to the bottom panel 174 of support frame 166 using a plurality of the screws 84 that extend through respective of the holes 86 of the mounting plate 76. The casters 74 may all be of the swiveling type shown, all of a non-swiveling type, or the combination thereof depending on the user's needs.

The smoking table 164 includes additional devices in the form of a plurality of shelves 194, large and small doors 196 and 198, and a shelf-door 200 respectively fixedly and pivotally connected to the support frame 166 disposed within the ancillary areas 180. A plurality of locking devices (not shown) may be utilized to secure the doors 196 and 198, and the shelf-drawer 200 to the support frame 166 in a closed position with or without the use of a combination or key lock for added security.

The shelves 194 are of rectangular shape permanently affixed or adjustably affixed such as by a conventional support pin and hole arrangement (not shown) to the upright panels 178 within the ancillary areas 180.

The large and small doors 196 and 198 include respective large and small panels 202 and 204 hingedly connected to the upright panels 178 at respective edges 206 and 208 that are vertically disposed using a plurality of hinges 210 such that the doors 196 and 198 pivot horizontally. The doors 196 and 198 each have a closed position enclosing the shelves 194 and an open position permitting access to the shelves 194.

The shelf-door 200 includes respective large and small panels 212 and 214 connected together edgewise along respective beveled edges 216 and 218 which are vertically disposed at an included angle “A”. The door panels 212 and 214 are interconnected by a plurality of shelves 220. The shelf-drawer 200 is pivotally connected to the top and bottom panels 172 and 174 of support frame 166 at the edges 216 and 218 using a pair of pivot pins 222 such that the shelf-door 200 pivots horizontally. The shelf-door 200 has a closed position enclosing the shelves 220 and an open position permitting access to the shelves 220.

Still referring to FIG. 4, therein is shown the second embodiment smoking table 164 as adapted for side loading of the water pipe 12 into the interior chamber 168. The modifications include an open-ended slot 224 added to the upper pipe hole 170 that merges with a vertical pipe-receiving opening 226. The opening 226 is formed in the support frame 166 by using a modified upright panel 228 of shorter length than the other upright panels 178. Side loading and unloading of the water pipe 12 is done while the shelf-door 200 is in the open position. The sliding bottom assembly 184 of the pipe support device 182 and the lower pipe hole 176 may be eliminated since they are not used and the base 30 of water pipe 12 supported directly on the bottom panel 174.

Many variations to the smoking tables are possible while staying within the same inventive concept. For example, the top and bottom panels may be of other shapes such as circular, oval, or the like. Ball bearing slides or other types may be used to support the drawers to make sliding thereof easier. The overall dimensions of the smoking tables may be changed to suit the particular application such as including adding provisions for a second water pipe.

The smoking tables thus solve all of the aforementioned problems with the prior art water pipes and provide the aforementioned additional improvements, including: 1) effectively and completely preventing tipping over of the water pipe by enclosing the base and middle of the water pipe within the smoking table; 2) effectively preventing spilling of water from the water pipe by preventing tipping in the first place; 3) not utilizing any valve devices to prevent spilling of water that could inhibit the flow of smoke through the water pipe causing more difficult inhalation of smoke; 4) does not directly connect to the water pipe and thus does not necessitate multiple designs to fit various designs and style of water pipes; 5) accommodating a wide variety of water pipes; 6) providing storage for items used during pipe smoking including as tobacco or herb leaves, used coals, drinks, and the like; 7) being portable for transport to various smoking locations due to the relatively compact design and swivel casters; 8) having space saving characteristics by compactly storing tobacco or herbs, smoking supplies, spent ashes and coals, drinks, and the like during periods of non-use yet opening up to provide easy access thereto during use and being of small size to be unabtrusive when not in use; and 9; blending in with surrounding furniture in the smoking area so as to look aesthetically pleasing.

Whereas this invention is here illustrated and described with reference to embodiments thereof presently contemplated as the best mode of carrying out such invention in actual practice, it is to be understood that various changes may be made in adapting the invention to different embodiments without departing from the broader inventive concepts disclosed herein and comprehended by the claims that follow.

Claims

1. A smoking table for supporting water pipes on a floor surface, comprising a hollowed support frame which defines an interior chamber adapted to receive the water pipe therein with a base thereof supported on a bottom interior surface of said support frame and an elongated neck thereof extending through an upper pipe hole of said support frame.

2. The smoking table according to claim 1, further comprising a pipe support device adapted to support the water pipe within the interior chamber.

3. The smoking table according to claim 2, wherein the pipe support device comprises a sliding panel assembly which includes at least one slide panel slidably connected to the support frame having an open position to pass the water pipe into and out of the interior chamber and a closed position to retain the water pipe within said interior chamber.

4. The smoking table according to claim 3, wherein the pipe support device includes a pair of the slide panels disposed at a top area of the support frame each having a semi-circular edge hole, said slide panels which slide together in the closed position to form a neck retaining hole of smaller size than the upper pipe hole to closely receive and laterally retain the neck of the water pipe.

5. The smoking table according to claim 4, wherein the slide panels comprise respective half panels each substantially equal in area and shape to one-half of a total area of a top surface of the support frame.

6. The smoking table according to claim 3, wherein the upper pipe hole is sized to closely receive the neck of the water pipe to provide lateral support thereto, and the pipe support device includes the slide panel slidably disposed at a bottom area of the support frame to selectively cover a lower pipe hole of said support frame that vertically corresponds with the upper pipe hole and is sized to receive a base of the water pipe therethrough, said slide panel having an open position to pass the water pipe into and out of the interior chamber for bottom loading thereof and a closed position to provide the bottom interior surface to retain the water pipe within said interior chamber.

7. The smoking table according to claim 3, wherein the sliding panel assembly includes a plurality of guide members affixed to the support frame adapted to guide the slide panels.

8. The smoking table according to claim 3, wherein a handle is affixed to each sliding panel for gripping in-hand to manually move said sliding panel.

9. The smoking table according to claim 1, wherein the support frame is rollably supported on the floor surface using a plurality of wheel devices of a type chosen from the group consisting of all non-swiveling, all swiveling, and a combination thereof.

10. The smoking table according to claim 1, wherein the upper pipe hole is sized to receive the base of the water pipe therethrough to pass the water pipe into and out of the interior chamber for top loading thereof.

11. The smoking table according to claim 1, wherein the frame includes respective horizontally disposed top and bottom panels interconnected in a vertically spaced orientation by a plurality of upright panels which define the interior chamber therebetween, said top panel having the upper pipe hole therethrough and said bottom panel having the bottom interior surface to support the water pipe.

12. The smoking table according to claim 11, wherein the upright panels are disposed in a pinwheel configuration defining the interior pipe chamber and respective ancillary areas.

13. The smoking table according to claim 11, wherein the top, bottom, and upright panels are all of substantially rectangular shape and the upper pipe hole is centrally disposed through said top panel.

14. The smoking table according to claim 1, wherein the upper pipe hole comprises an open-ended slot that merges with a vertical pipe-receiving opening for side loading of the water pipe into the interior pipe chamber.

15. The smoking table according to claim 1, further comprising at least one additional device operatively connected to the support frame chosen from the group consisting of a drawer, a shelf, and a door.

16. The smoking table according to claim 15, wherein the additional device comprises the drawer which includes respective front and rear panels interconnected by at least one side panel.

17. The smoking table according to claim 16, wherein the drawer is slidably connected to the support frame using a guide device which comprises respective inner and outer guide members adapted to slidably engage opposite sides of said drawer.

18. The smoking table according to claim 16, wherein the drawer has one side panel with the front and a rear panels further interconnected by at least one horizontally disposed shelf panel.

19. The smoking table according to claim 16, further comprising:

at least one sub-drawer adapted to slidably connect to the drawer; and

wherein said drawer has a pair of the side panels which interconnect the front and rear panels, one thereof having a drawer- receiving hole through which said sub-drawer is closely slidably received.

20. The smoking table according to claim 19, wherein the sub-drawer is of rectangular configuration which includes respective front and rear panels interconnected by a pair of side panels and a bottom panel, and the drawer-receiving hole is of mating rectangular shape.

21. The smoking table according to claim 19, wherein the drawer includes respective horizontally disposed top and drawer support panels, said top panel which interconnects the front, rear, and side panels thereof, and said drawer support panel being disposed below the sub-drawer interconnecting said side panels and adapted to slidably support said sub-drawer.

22. The smoking table according to claim 15, wherein the additional device comprises the door which includes at least one door panel connected along at least one edge thereof to the support frame in a manner chosen from the group consisting of pivotally and slidably.

23. The smoking table according to claim 22, wherein the door includes a pair of the door panels affixed together at respective of the edges at an acute angle and interconnected by at least one shelf panel.

24. The smoking table according to claim 22, wherein the edge is vertically disposed such that the door pivots horizontally.

25. The smoking table according to claim 15, further comprising:

a personal smoking accessory which includes a hollowed body with a top opening and at least one support member adapted to engage the shelf panel; and

wherein the additional device includes a horizontally disposed panel with an accessory hole adapted to closely receive said body therein supported by said support member.

26. The smoking table according to claim 25, wherein the support member comprises a support lip which extends horizontally outwardly from the body at the top opening that sets atop the shelf panel to support said body within the accessory hole.

27. The smoking table according to claim 25, wherein the personal smoking accessory is chosen from the group consisting of a tray in which the body is of rectangular configuration comprised of bottom wall and a plurality of dependent upright side walls all of rectangular shape and a cup holder in which the body is of cylindrical configuration comprised of bottom wall of circular shape and a dependent upright side wall of circular cross-section.

28. A smoking table for supporting water pipes on a floor surface, comprising:

a hollowed support frame which includes respective horizontally disposed top and bottom panels interconnected in a vertically spaced orientation by a plurality of upright panels all of substantially rectangular shape, said upright panels being disposed in a pinwheel configuration which define an interior pipe chamber therebetween adapted to receive the water pipe therein with a base thereof supported on a bottom interior surface of said support frame provided by said bottom panel and four ancillary areas, said top panel having an upper pipe hole centrally disposed therethrough sized to receive the base of the water pipe therethrough for top loading of the water pipe into said interior pipe chamber with an elongate neck thereof extending therethrough;

a sliding panel assembly adapted to support the water pipe within said interior chamber comprised of a pair of the slide panels each having a semi-circular edge hole, said slide panels being slidably guided juxtaposed said top panel by a plurality of guide members, said slide panels having an open position to pass the water pipe into and out of said interior chamber and which slide together to a closed position to retain the water pipe within said interior chamber by forming a neck retaining hole of smaller size than said upper pipe hole to closely receive and laterally retain the neck of the water pipe; and

at least one additional device for each ancillary area operatively connected to the support frame chosen from the group consisting of a drawer, a shelf, a door, and a personal smoking accessory, said drawer including respective front and rear panels interconnected by an exterior side panel, said drawer being slidably connected to said support frame disposed within one of said ancillary areas using a guide device which comprises said upright panels and respective outer guide members adapted to slidably engage opposite sides of said drawer, said drawer having at least one additional sub-device chosen from the group consisting of a sub-drawer, a sub-shelf, a sub-door, an interior panel with at least one drawer-receiving hole through which said sub-drawer is closely slidably received, and a drawer support panel, said shelf being affixed to said upright panels, said door which includes at least one door panel connected along at least one edge thereof to the support frame in a manner chosen from the group consisting of pivotally and slidably, said edge being vertically disposed such that said door pivots horizontally, said panels of said door which includes a pair of said door panels being affixed together at respective of said edges at an acute angle and interconnected by at least one shelf panel, said personal smoking accessory including a hollowed body with a top opening and at least one support member, said shelf having an accessory hole adapted to closely receive said body therein supported by said support member.

29. The smoking table according to claim 28, further comprising:

a personal smoking accessory which includes a hollowed body with atop opening and at least one support member; and

wherein the additional device includes a horizontally disposed panel with an accessory hole adapted to closely receive the body therein supported by said support member, and the slide panels comprise respective half panels each substantially equal in area and shape to one-half of a total area of a top surface of the top panel, a handle being affixed to each sliding panel for gripping in-hand to manually move said sliding panel, the support frame being rollably supported on the floor surface using a plurality of wheel devices of a type chosen from the group consisting of all non-swiveling, all swiveling, and a combination thereof.

30. A smoking table for supporting water pipes on a floor surface, comprising:

a hollowed support frame which includes respective horizontally disposed top and bottom panels interconnected in a vertically spaced orientation by a plurality of upright panels all of substantially rectangular shape, said upright panels being disposed in a pinwheel configuration which define an interior pipe chamber therebetween adapted to receive the water pipe therein with a base thereof supported on a bottom interior surface of said support frame provided by said bottom panel and four ancillary areas, said top panel having an upper pipe hole centrally disposed therethrough sized to closely receive a neck of the water pipe therethrough to provide lateral support thereto; and

wherein said support frame is of a pipe loading configuration chosen from the group consisting of a side loading and bottom loading, said support frame of said side loading type having said upper pipe hole comprised of an open-ended slot that merges with a vertical pipe-receiving opening including through one of said upright panels to pass the water pipe into and out of said interior chamber for side loading thereof, said support frame of said bottom loading type having a slide panel slidably guided juxtaposed said bottom panel by a plurality of guide members to selectively cover a lower pipe hole of said support frame that vertically corresponds with said upper pipe hole and is sized to receive the base of the water pipe therethrough, said slide panel having an open position to pass the water pipe into and out of the interior chamber for bottom loading thereof and a closed position to provide said bottom interior surface to retain the water pipe within said interior chamber.
