Description
CLAIMING FOREIGN PRIORITY

The applicant claims and requests a foreign priority, through the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industry Property, based on a patent application filed in the Republic of Korea (South Korea) with the filing date of Mar. 20, 2006, with the patent application number 20-2006-0007406, by the applicant, the disclosure of which is incorporate by reference as if fully set forth herein. (See the attached Declaration).

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a glove for sports. More particularly, this invention relates to a glove for sports capable of facilitating wearer's pulling off by providing a removal device that facilitates removal of the glove from the user's hand.

Generally, gloves are used to keep user's hand warm or to protect user's hand, and have other functions depending on the use of the gloves.

Among gloves, gloves for sports has a anti sliding pad on the palm covering portion of the gloves to prevent sliding of equipment used in exercise, and has open tubular finger portions that expose upper portions of fingers for sports, which use fingers, including bowling, fishing or fitness. FIG. 1 shows an example of gloves for sports by prior art. The glove has a main body 1, a finger-covering portion 7, and an opening 8. The finger covering portion 7 includes a tubular thumb portion 2, a tubular index finger portion 3, a tubular middle finger portion 4, a tubular ring finger portion 5, and a tubular little finger portion 6. The tubular finger portions merge into the main body 1, and the opening 8 is provided opposite to the finger-covering portion 7.

A disadvantage of conventional gloves for sports is that it is hard to take off due to sweat perspired during exercise. The difficulty is worse for gloves having open tubular finger portions since there are no end portions to hold. In order to take off the gloves, a user suffers inconvenience of pulling the opening of the main body. Sometimes excessive force breaks a sewing line of the glove.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention contrives to solve the disadvantages of the prior art.

An objective of the invention is to provide gloves for sports that facilitate taking off thereof by a user.

In order to achieve the above objective, the present invention provides a glove for sports that includes a hollow main body, a tubular thumb portion which is adapted to partially surround the thumb of a user and is extended from the main body and includes a thumb opening at its free end, a tubular index finger portion which is adapted to partially surround the index finger of the user and is extended from the main body and includes an index finger opening at its free end, a tubular middle finger portion which is adapted to partially surround the middle finger of the user and is extended from the main body and includes a middle finger opening at its free end, a tubular ring finger portion which is adapted to partially surround the ring finger of the user and is extended from the main body and includes a ring finger opening at its free end, a tubular little finger portion which is adapted to partially surround the little finger of a user and is extended from the main body and includes a little finger opening at its free end, and a removal device that facilitates removal of the glove from the user's hand. The removal device includes one or more removal straps attached to the glove. The main body includes a hand opening that is provided opposite to the tubular portions, through which the hand of the user passes, a palm covering portion that is adapted to cover the palm of the user's hand, and a back covering portion that is adapted to cover the back of the user's hand. The glove further includes one or more anti-slip pad attached to the palm covering portion and to the tubular finger portions.

In one embodiment, the removal device includes a first strap that is provided between the tubular index finger portion and the tubular middle finger portion and forming a first ring, a second strap that is provided between the tubular ring finger portion and the tubular little finger portion and forming a second ring, and a third strap that is provided between the tubular middle finger portion and the tubular ring finger portion and forming a third ring. The rings are positioned substantially parallel with the palm covering portion and back covering portion of the main body. The rings protrude beyond the free ends of the tubular middle finger portion and the tubular ring finger portion.

In another embodiment, the removal device includes a strap that includes two ends attached to the back covering portion. The ends of the strap are positioned near the tubular finger portions.

In still another embodiment, the removal device includes a strap that includes a first end attached to the tubular middle finger portion and a second end attached to the tubular ring finger portion.

In still another embodiment, the removal device includes a first strap that is provided on the back covering portion and below the tubular middle finger portion and forms a first half ring, a second strap that is provided on the back covering portion and below the tubular ring finger portion and forms a second half ring, and a third strap that is provided on the back covering portion and below the little ring finger portion and forms a third half ring.

In still another embodiment, the removal device includes a first grip portion that is extended from the tubular middle finger portion beyond the middle finger opening and a second grip portion that is extended from the tubular ring finger portion beyond the ring finger opening. The grip portions are made of a piece of sheet and the ends of the grip portions are rounded.

With the above construction, it is possible to take off wet gloves conveniently and with little force, and the damage of the glove is prevented.
