A conventional packaging structure for a liquid crystal display, as shown in
An embodiment of a packaging structure for an electronic device comprises a main body and an auxiliary element. The main body comprises a first side, a second side opposite to the first side, a third side and a bottom adjacent to the third side. The auxiliary element is disposed on the main body. The main body moves along a surface by contacting the surface with the auxiliary element.
The auxiliary element comprises at least one pad body disposed on the bottom, whereby the main body moves along a surface by contacting the surface with the auxiliary element.
The auxiliary element further comprises a cord with one end extending through the pad body and fixed to the first side and the other end detachably joined to the second side. The pad body can be a cylinder rotatably disposed on the bottom.
In another embodiment, the auxiliary element comprises at least one pad body disposed at the junction of the third side and the bottom, whereby the main body moves along a surface by contacting the surface with the auxiliary element. The pad body can be a cylinder.
In another embodiment, the auxiliary element comprises at least one sliding member disposed at the junction of the third side and the bottom, whereby the main body moves along a surface by contacting the surface with the auxiliary element. The sliding member can be a metal sheet.
The cord is rigid to bear the weight of the main body, whereby the pad body is maintained by a predetermined distance from the main body and rotatably moves along the surface.
The invention can be more fully understood by reading the subsequent detailed description and examples with references made to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Referring to
The main body 100 comprises a first side 110, a second side (handle surface) 120, a bottom (auxiliary element surface) 130 and a third side 140. The first side 110 faces the second side 120, and the first side 110 and the second side 120 are adjacent to the bottom 130. Because the embodiment is rectangular, the third side 140 is also adjacent to the first side 110 and the second side 120, and the third side 140 is also adjacent to the bottom 130. The main body 100 is, however, not limited to a rectangle, a polyhedron is also applicable to the invention. In a polyhedron, the third side 140 is not necessarily adjacent to the first side 110 and the second side 120.
The auxiliary element comprises a cord 200 and a cylinder (pad body or ring member) 300, as shown in
The cord 200 extends through the cylinder 300 and along the axis of the cylinder 300. The cylinder 300 shown in
The cord 200 and the cylinder 300 can be accommodated in the main body 100 first. When the package is employed to accommodate an electronic device, the cord 200 and the cylinder 300 are taken out of the main body 100. The cord 200 is secured on the bottom 130, the cylinder 300 engaged with the cord 200 and the elasticity of cord 200 adjusted. When the package is transported, a handle 400 on the second side (handle surface) 120 is pulled by hand, and the package moves along the surface with the cylinder 300 contacting the surface.
If the surface is smooth, the cylinder 300 slides, whereby the main body 100 moves along the surface. If the surface is not smooth, the cylinder 300 rolls on the surface, whereby the main body 100 moves on the ground.
In addition, the cord 200 can be soft or rigid. If the cord 200 is soft, the main body 100 is supported by the cylinder 300. If the cord 200 is rigid, the cord 200 supports the main body 100.
When the package is transported, as shown in
Although a cylinder is described here, the embodiment, it is not limited thereto. Elements which can rotate about the cord 200 and roll on the ground are applicable, such as a wheel.
While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements (as would be apparent to those skilled in the art). Therefore, the scope of the appended claims should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements.
